Soon after Nate was through crafting the necessary weapons for his horde, rather than going out to help them in the fight, he switched his consciousness to Zak's body and went out to seek one person.
This person was none other than general goo himself. Nate believes now that his horde was seriously raking havoc in the military base, he was sure that by now, general goo might have sent out all his force to counter the attacks.
However, Nate wasn't that right about that. On reaching the general goo's office, he discovered that two guards were standing in his way.
Nate seeing this just wanted to bypass them with the essence of being Zak but to his surprise, he was stopped by the two men.
This left Nate no other option than to use force on them. The two guards were not superhuman so it was pretty easy for Nate to deal with them without making much noise.
Regardless, he was super sure that no matter what that general goo who was inside should have been rushing out by now or calling for help. Although the room was soundproof that was only for the outsiders rather than insiders.
After waiting to see general goo reaction which turned out to be nothing, Nate stepped into the room.
"It's over general goo, you and your base are going do.w...n!" Nate roughly opened the door and froze on the spot on seeing general goo.
The old man was casually sitting down in his seat with a telephone on his ear while answering a call.
Nate was startled by this, the calmness in the atmosphere and how relaxed general goo was is the main reason he was startled.
'Don't this man know what is happening outside, ' Nate's facial expression changed. As Nate thought that maybe general goo has no idea of what was happening outside, his ear was still able to pick up a few words from the telephone that made him think otherwise.
However, what general goo said next after dropping the call if possible could have blown Nate's mind.
"So..What brought you here... Zak...or should I say you who is pretending to be Zak," General Goo said with a smile.
'So he knows that am not Zak, interesting,' Nate thought.
"Hahaha...!" seeing the look of confusion on. nates face, general goo busted into laughter.
"You...!" Nate clenched his fist. He wanted to attack General Goo right now but something is holding him back and that was the old man's confidence.
Currently, right now, he and general goo were the only ones in his office and Nate doubt that any help could arrive in time before he kill him and general goo knew about this.
Yet the fact he know and was still behaving like this made Nate hesitate to act.
'Why is he so calm when he is the only one with me here, that he has something up his sleeve,' wondered.
Meanwhile, General Goo suddenly stopped laughing. "You think I won't figure it out... I will admit, you are quite good at acting but you are not good enough to fool me,"
"You see, there are a few things about Zak I know that you, whoever you are that is in control of his body don't know, "
"Zak is someone that is so much afraid to meet me and there is a reason for that, but ever since he returned from that mission he claimed to have lost all his men, it's obvious that he no longer has such fear for me," Goo smiled.
On hearing this, Nate began to regret not deciding to eat zak brain rather than taking over his body. What general goo said has just proven to him that Zak might have known something, a lot about general goo. He also believes that whatever reason made zak to fear General Goo despite the latter having no useful power as a superhuman, he believes that this might also have something to do with the reason general goo was so calm and relaxed.
Regardless, Nate wasn't going to start playing games with general goo. 'There is also a probability that he is trying to buy time for his help to come, unfortunately, I won't give him the time a wants,' Nate thought.
"It's over old man, since you already know that I'm not Zak, I won't be hiding it also. Indeed I'm not Zak. My mission here is to stop you from destroying my base...!" Nate shouted.
He wasn't only admitting that he was not Zak, but he was also telling Goo his purpose of coming to his base.
"Interesting... So, you think you can stop me from attacking your base right?" general goo said smiling.
"Yes, I can simply do that by killing you," Nate said getting ready to fight.
Hearing this, general goo busted into laughter again, this time, it took him quite a long time to stop laughing.
Seeing this, Nate who was attempting to attack stopped. 'Just what is this guy up to, what does he have that makes him feel so relaxed? Maybe he doesn't know I can still use Zak's power, but if Zak himself was afraid of him, then they must be a reason for that,' Nate thought as he stopped to wait till the old man was done laughing.
"You are funny... Honestly...I should have considered employing you to be my joker," General Goo said laughing.
He eventually stopped before putting up a serious face. "I just told you that Zak is afraid of me, not just only him, even Knott is. Shouldn't you be wondering why such two people are serving me despite me having a stupid ability that only extracts truth from someone,"
"You know, I don't use to be the commander of this base, I was just someone that happens to know someone strong enough to manipulate things, this person of course you should know but too bad it seems like you don't have access to the memories of those you are commanding,"
"Regardless, back to my story," General Goo said.
"This friend of mine help me, he gave me a gift, a gift that helped me so much in taking over this base, " General Goo said as he reached his hand into his pocket and pulled out a headband.
However, this headband was different from any other Nate had ever seen. It was silver in colour and the material it was made of was plastic and not cloth fibre.
"This you see is the reason I'm the general of this military base and will also be your downfall," General Goo said before wearing the hand band.
Nate not wanting to know what the headband was capable of rushed in at General Goo.
The throw out his fist at the old man with the intent of killing. However, at the neck of time, just as the fist was about to connect, two figures suddenly appeared in front of Nate.
One of them quickly grabbed onto the fist while the other also went in for a kick.
Nate was startled by this and was not expecting such a thing to happen. The kick was not strong enough to cause damage to Nate but since he wasn't expecting it, he was pushed backwards slightly.
Nate stabilized himself and looked at those who just saved general goo.
"You two...I killed you two..!" Nate exclaimed in shock.
Behold, standing right in front of Nate was the same two guards that he just deal with at the front door before entering the office.
Nate was sure about it, he killed the two guards and was sure their heart have stopped before entering the room yet right now in front of him was the same two guards standing before him while protecting general goo.
Nate glanced at the headband from before. 'Is that the reason those two are still alive, is that why he feels so confident, and how can that device use the death control skill,' at this point, Nate was more than confused.
