Cab, Zuni and Max could only watch from behind as nate body was slowly disappearing from their sight. With the cold breeze that was blowing around, carrying the snow around, it didn't take much time for nate back to vanish out of their sight.
"Are we seriously going to let him go up there by himself, you guys know how dangerous it is up there, not only are those whitebonez moving rampantly, they are a couple of creatures there that are stronger than the deer beast," Zuni said interrupting the silence moment.
"What else could we have done, he insist on going, what are going to do about that, not like we can force him to stay," Max said and was already walking off.
He wasn't planning to stay out for long, they can encounter a beast that can injure them badly, and that was the last thing he want to happen. If a slight drop of blood was to be exposed in the area, it will be attracting multiple whitebonez towards them.
"What are you talking about, he saved us, I think he might be acting this way because he hasn't met a whitebonez before," Zuni said.
Naturally, they thought that Nate was only brave enough to go looking for a whitebonez. They believe that by the time Nate will encounter one, then he might have a second thoughts about the part he was about to take.
"What about you, what do you think, he saved your life, are you going to let him get killed?" Zuni said looking at Cab.
"Why are you saying this, the boy has chosen a part for himself, why don't let him be!" Max was getting angry at Zuni for trying to convince them.
"I wasn't speaking to you," Zuni ignored Max, but just then, he could see Cab running towards the direction Nate went to.
"We need to stop him before he gets to the cliff," Cab said as he struggled to run on the snow.
Zuni quickly pulled out a sketingbord and placed it on the ground. The two started heading towards the cliff.
"Are you two mad? Even Sin that went up there has not come back, do you two have a death wish?" Max could only shout from behind.
"Shit, you two are pushing me," Max muttered and gnash his teeth before altering himself and going after the two.
---
Meanwhile, Nate was totally unaware that the three groups of people he met not long ago were coming after him. He was busy running on the snow.
'Dame, I thought it would be easier to reach the cliff or is it just that the more I get closer, the cliff will be moving away from him,' Nate cursed inwardly.
Although he wasn't getting exhausted, he was still annoyed by the backlash is the snow.
However, Nate still was able to reach the cliff. When he got to the bottom, he looked up at the height of the cliff as if he was trying to measure the distance.
"This is quite tall, but how am I going to climb up there, or should I hike," Nate wondered. 'But I have no equipment that can help me out in the process,'
As Nate was thinking about this, what he didn't know was that they were a couple of creatures with yellow glowing eyes walking towards him from behind.
[A king-level beast presence has been spotted]
Luckily, the system alerted him that instant and it then did not turn back and looked at the things standing behind him.
"Maybe, while I'm thinking of how to get up there, I would as well try to get more crystal," Nate muttered.
The beast standing before him was a pack of wolves, they were about ten in number and they were slowly approaching Nate.
"Although the system stated a king level, am sure none of you is on that level, where is he?" Nate was calm despite being surrounded by ten wolfs that were the size of a story building.
It was certain to him that the king-level beast was not in the midst of the ten wolfs before him, therefor he was wondering where it was.
It was at this moment, a more gigantic wolf, far bigger than the other wolfs walked majestically from the wolf's behind. Due to the breeze flicking snow dust around, the wolf's body wasn't that clear at first but as it walked further, it was becoming clear to Nate how big the wolf was.
"You must be the one they call the alpha, the leader of this pack," Nate anticipated.
The wolf's eyes were glowing red totally different from the others. Based on nates knowledge, in a pack of wolves, that has a red eye is the leader of the pack, not only that, it is also the strongest among the wolf, which means that if he was going to fight the pack of wolves, he should be first taken out the leader.
With the leader down, the other wolves will flee in disorder.
However, Nate knows fully well that the wolf's before him might not be at the King level, but with their number, they will be a pain in the ass even to a king-level beast and to top up the most, they are still the alpha who would not just standby and watch the fight.
'This will really be tough,' Nate thought to himself as he was getting ready to fight.
As he was getting ready, so was the wolf's as they took a fighting stance and were ready to attack at any moment, but all of a sudden, they freeze.
Nate was startled to see this, the wolf's body was shaking as they were slowly taking a step backwards. Even the alpha wolf was retreating slowly alongside his pack.
'This reaction, only one thing can make this, either they are now afraid of me, or they are afraid of something behind me,' Nate thought.
With that thought in mind, he turned back to see what the wolves were afraid of. It was a white-skinned creature.
The creature was handing on the wall of the cliff with its claws stabbed into the solid wall. It wasn't too clear, but soon, the creature jumped off the cliff and landed right in front of Nate.
When the creature landed, all the wolves quickly ran away, leaving only Nate to face the beast.
"Now I understand why they were so afraid of you,"
