When getting a gold medal quest, Nate usually takes the quest seriously and strives to earn the reward, this was because the gold medal was the highest level of reward the system will grant him, but after opening a new set of high rewards," Diamond and Platinum", the gold medal has been reduced to him, however, no reward is a waste, not even a bronze medal is a waste because sometimes, they can grant incredible rewards.
To him, as long as they are no other option of getting a higher reward at that moment, he will be happy to take the challenge even if it is just a bronze reward.
Regardless, gold was not something cheap, the name alone is expensive so whatever comes with it must be big also and Nate quickly used the medal as soon as he got it.
[Golden medal has been used]
[Two skill has been granted = Privilege and Territory]
[Privilege]
[ This allows the host to set certain orders among his horde cycles]
[ Things that can be privileged are]
[Lynn's power]
[Normally, Lynn can use her power on those that she has under her sight or could feel their presence, however, with this privilege applied to her, her power will be linked to all in the host's horde cycle and can be used on them no matter how far they are from each other]
[Host skills]
[The host can set a privilege of a number of his horde to make use of certain skills that has nothing to do with the host's race]
[System interface]
[This will allow them to also get the quest from the system and when completed, they are going to be rewarded by the system]
[More that the privilege could be used on will unfold hopefully in the future]
Without those explanations, Nate already have an idea of what the skill was for. Starting with Lynn's power which was the pain conjurer. He can privilege the power to somehow link to everyone in his horde and by doing so, any damage they take or pain they feel will be transferred to Lynn boosting her power and then she can supply them with energy.
Though since most of his horde members were zombies and they can not feel any pain, in the future, he might start encountering more superhumans that might turn out to be humans or even beast pets and then will this come in handy, regardless, he was still glad that something like this could be done.
The second one says that he can privilege any horde member of his choice to make use of his skills as long as it does not link to his zombie type.
Reading it well though to be sure he was seeing right, Nate was happy with the reward. 'With this, I can privilege them to make use of the soul weapon skill, or even the map skill, Analyzer skill, and even then the death control,' Nate thought but was corrected by the system.
[Skills that stand mainly meant for the host's zombie type could not be shared even among other zombies]
Seeing this, Nate knows that the "Death control" skill could not be shared, but he was not downcast. He decided to see more of the opposite sides of the skill.
[Skills that can not be privileged are]
[Death control]
[Total control]
[Eyes of the horde]
[Initiator]
[Brain access]
[Horde spoils]
The list that Nate could not share appeared before him. Though they are some on the list that he wished could be privileged but most of the skills he wanted to share didn't appear which was a great thing.
Meanwhile, aside from the skill privilege, there is something else that could be the privilege and Nate wasn't sure if he wanted to share such a thing. It was the system's privilege.
After reading it, Nate being to think, 'If I privilege them to use the system also, wouldn't that require me to explain what this is, wouldn't they start asking questions and I might even end up implicating myself as a player,' with all those thoughts running through his mind, Nate has made up his mind.
'I won't be doing that for now, but the main problem is that for them to use other skills, they need to assist with the system, ' Nate started thinking hard about what to do.
They are certain skills that need the system's help before they could assess such as the map. The map skill will open something like an interface before them and this was the system interface and they are no way they could use the skill without the system getting involved.
After thinking for a long time, Nate decided to put that aside, 'Maybe, I won't be using this for now at least till I cook up a reasonable explanation,' Nate decided to lay that aside and focus on the next skill.
[Territory Mark]
[This will grant the host the power to mark places as his territory. In your territory, the host will be able to face off strong opponents and defeat them easily, but it won't be that easy to mark territory or else you ask for it or you fight for it]
[Ways of marking territory]
[Force mark and Permission mark]
[Force mark is when the host wages war against a territory and wins, the territory has been gained by force and rightfully belongs to the host]
[Permission mark is when the host as for territory from the territory owner in a friendly manner]
[Note= The territory can be taken at any time by the owner]
Reading this, Nate knows what this could do. 'It's just like the initiator, I can force initiate and agreement initiate, but this time, the agreement is permission,'
'However, this skill seems cool, I would like to try it out, but I'm not sure Lily would dare give her base to me,'
Just then, Nate started to inspect the skill. Opening the skill, it was just like the map and on his back was a large space but there was some type of orange colour background.
[Green means your territory]
[Orange means it's not your territory]
[White means the territory is not yet marked]
[Red means an enemies territory]
Seeing the meaning behind the orange colour, Nate know that the place with the orange background was the base territory and it was quite big.
'Wait, where I'm standing now is white, does that means this place is not part of the base and I can take it myself, ' Nate wondered but the only way he could find out is by trying it out.
[Territory has been marked]
[Whenever someone that is not among your horde enters your territory, you will be notified]
[They are more you can learn about your territory, do you want to know more]
[Yes/No]
Nate would have so much love to pick yes that instant but a sudden notification with a red team meaning danger appeared in his interface and he has to quit what he was doing.
[A matrix spy bird has just entered your territory, take it out immediately]
The territory map appeared indicating where the bird was and Nate quickly swung his sabre at the location killing a parrot that just perched on a tree.
"This is not going, they have been spying on me all this while and yet I don't know about this," Nate panicked as he walked up to the bird and pulled out the matrix ring from it.
"I need to leave this place, if I do want to get them involved in this mess," Nate thought as he started running back to the base, leaving the beast crystal for Lyon.
---
Meanwhile, inside the dark room, Green was now the one that has the freest time in the matrix and he has been using most of his time to glide the spies Mia sent out to look for Nate.
"So you called us," Mia said as he entered the room and so did the others.
"I found him," Green replied.
Hearing this Mia busted into laughter.
"Get everyone ready, it's time we finish this job once and for all," he said still laughing.
