Chapter 53 - Chapter 50 - Stepping Over The Precipice

Qiu Zhi's eyes widened as he swept his gaze over Xiao LingYue, the feeling of danger he previously felt reaching an unprecedented height within his heart.

His hand unconsciously reached for the sword on his back as he paused mid-way upon realizing that his Slaughter Sword Heart shuddered in excitement to do battle which calmed him slightly.

Shang MiGang shuddered as he met Xiao LingYue's gaze, it was like the gaze of a predator looking at its prey as he moved towards him, the curved blade in hand and billowing outer robes.

His instincts were screaming, warning him vehemently...

'This youth was Dangerous!'

Xiao LingYue placed his hand on the hilt of the saber as he drew the curved blade he had previously taken from the party within the War Beast Hall.

The slim curved blade in hand was named 'Full Moon'. Its blade was the color of ivory while its handle was a mottled gray, his gaze slowly focusing on the totemic inscription as he counted 4, which signified it was a mid-rank Treasured blade.

As he continued to stare at the blade, the comfort and security he once had when wielding a blade came back, his billowing aura calmed as he poured strand after strand of his Abysmal Qi into it.

The blade buzzed with excitement as its totemic inscriptions lit up, as they shone with a soft white light.

The surrounding disciples gasped as Xiao LingYue no longer looked like a sauve young master or a war demon but a pristine yet eerie and lonely saber.

His billowing Abysmal Qi and Baleful aura all quieted as it was focused within the blade.

Shang MiGang and Qiu Zhi's eyes shrank as gasps could be heard, their eyes showing surprise as they focused their gaze on Xiao LingYue's figure.

'From Form to Force!'

"He has touched the precipice of Saber Force!"

Young Master Qiang rose to his feet in shock as he couldn't believe his eyes, his hand resting on his saber as he was ready to attack to stop him this very instant!

What others may not know is that although he gives off an aloof temperament in public, he was quite black-hearted and had ruined quite a few geniuses in his sect who had threatened to become more outstanding than him.

Most didn't know due to the fact it was well covered by the upper echelons of the sect and these said disciples would often encounter 'mishaps' on their tasks of fulfilling sect missions.

Right now his face was contorted as he was trying for months to comprehend Saber Force and yet couldn't but this young upstart dared to? And in front of him no less?!

He couldn't stand it but as he got ready to draw his sword, he felt a gaze locked into him.

It was Qiu Zhi, who felt quite helpless at this moment. Although he'd rather Xiao Lingyue fail, he couldn't stay by the side while he was attacked, especially when so many people were there.

He wouldn't be able to stop all the wagging tongues, but thankfully he hadn't had to do much as it seemed that Xiao Lingyue had hidden much deeper than they originally thought.

The sharp glint in both Shang MiGang, as well as Young Master Qiang's eyes, magnified as they both felt pressured as they had only reached the peak of form in both spear and sword respectively as they currently were both searching for opportunities to break through to the next level in their proficiency.

Qiu Zhi also felt pressure but due to his Slaughter Sword Heart, he could comprehend Sword Force through slaughter at a much faster pace than other cultivators.

So even though he felt pressured it made him even more adamant to raise his strength to not be left behind, and the best person to fight would be someone who had already comprehended a type of force!

His eyes lit up like stars as he realized this and he became even more vigilant against external threats as he got the surrounding disciples of the Blood Gate Cult to stand guard as Dao Protectors for his future whetstone.

A smirk began to appear on his face as he felt he just had gotten the most precious cultivation resource for his future comprehension as he sneered at the two before him.

Xiao Lingyue stood with the saber in hand as the blurred image of a ghostly general manifested behind him purely made of his saber aura.

Its ghastly presence sent shivers down the back of everyone nearby as their hair stood on edge.

Its presence radiating only one thing...

DANGER!

Xiao Lingyue shuddered slightly as he exhaled, the ghostly general manifestation fading away slowly.

His gaze slowly focused on Shang MiGang and Young Master Qiang as they both shuddered inwardly as they felt the overbearing pressure of Saber Force pressing down upon them!

The surrounding disciples released baited breaths as they were thankful that it seemed he had failed but only Qiu Zhi, Shang MiGang, and Young Master Qiang knew that Xiao Lingyue had definitely succeeded!
