Chapter 26 - Chapter 24 - Memoirs Of Life in The Tundra

This pearl-like object didn't seem alien to him at all, it felt like he was born with it as it had always been a part of him and as the tail continuously fed him Spiritual Qi, the small round golden and black pearl started to absorb the Qi with abandon.

The pearl lessened the burden on his body as it continuously grew from a speck the size of a grain of rice until it was the size of a small marble.

Upon reaching this size it spun and soon began to feed an even stronger and more pure spiritual qi back towards him.

This Spiritual Qi didn't flow along his blood vessels like how it would as stated in the Moon Lotus Mantra but it was directly sent into his muscles, marrow and flesh.

A bestial-like aura soon spread within his cave abode as it soon permeated the walls and began spreading towards the surroundings.

This aura soon spread in all directions, alarming a majority of the disciples within the cave of feasting demons. Their astonishment rose as they noticed that this aura was coming from within the depths of those icy caverns. . .

Xiao LingYue's eyes were currently closed as he felt the connection between him and the pearl, soon his mind wandered as he began to feel images being played through his mind like memories of an age long forgotten.

He was watching a small white fox as he survived within the cold tundra, the world was a vicious one as the only way to become stronger was to kill and slaughter.

Blood splattered within the snow leaving a stark contrast between the bright scarlet colour and the ivory snow beneath.

Time passed slowly as he continued to become a stranger to himself, fighting as went, leaving no foe behind. His head hung low as his nose brushed against the snow, his feet slowly walking through this snow-filled wasteland. . .

Soon he formed a pearl-like thing within his chest, his intellect increased as his perception and memory were clearly better than before.

His size increased by a fold as he had somehow grown another tail. . .

He also noticed that as he killed other beasts and ate their pearl it would make his pearl more perfected and powerful.

His strength increased again and he gained another tail, which worked well for absorbing the energy to fill his pearl as well as for fighting purposes. . .

This life showed his ups and downs, his strengths as well as his weaknesses, it fully displayed the fox's life full of 7 emotions and 6 desires as he continued to progress...

Xiao LingYue watched the full life of this white fox as he stood by the side like a bystander, dawning upon the realization that this might be his ancestor.

The Original 9-Tailed Snow Fox . . .

***************

His bloodshot eyes snapped open as the bestial aura blasted the inside of his cave abode, his body tore apart like a porcelain shell as a new fresh body was beneath.

The tail behind him became more corporeal as the Spiritual Qi influx spiked once again, improving by a stage as his claws became more pronounced and his ears grew more pointed.

He soon retracted the aura of his pearl as the changes he was going through soon subsided as the tail vanished.

His skin was like perfect ivory jade while his hair was like the darkest night as it draped over his shoulders; His looks were almost Demonic as he sat with torn shreds on him as a refined and scholarly aura seemed to flow silently around him.

Xiao LingYue stretched his body as popping sounds were emitted and as he breathed out, a surge of incredibly vigorous energy erupted from around his body.

His body seemed to carry a newfound vitality that was leagues above what he previously had. The physical strength contained within his slender frame was like a ferocious beast as he clenched his fist.

Every breath he took was able to absorb a slight amount of Spiritual Qi as it was purified by his pearl-like object before being redistributed towards his flesh, passively tempering it at all times.

Xiao LingYue smiled as he placed his hand on his chest, this pearl-like object was like a gift from the heavens for him, it functioned somewhat similarly to a dantian in the fact it could store Spiritual Qi, but he wasn't fully aware of the uses yet.

"I'll call it a Neidan," he said as he closed his eyes, feeling the Spiritual Qi surging beneath his flesh.

Xiao LingYue looked at his fist as he punched out, the wind screeching as his fist tore through the void.

Cracks began to appear on the inside of the cave abode as the formation array of the abode began to shatter like glass before quickly repairing itself.

LingYue was stunned as he was stuck in the posture of his thrown punch as he stared at the destruction which the formation was working tirelessly to repair.

The punch sounded like the rumbling of heavenly thunder as it echoed through the cave, making many disciples nervous to the point of shaking, their eyes containing unimaginable fear as they wondered what sort of monster was brought into the cave of feasting demons. . .

LingYue returned and sat in silence as he didn't expect such a commotion to be made, as he chose to be careful and withdrew all his aura lest prying eyes come.

As Xiao LingYue sat and felt the Spiritual Qi surging within him, he could feel his cultivation at the Half Step Meridian Opening Stage slowly inching upwards to the true Meridian Opening Stage.
