"you didn't listen to me and now you're not going to listen to her?" Candace asked with focused eye contact. "Noah" she muttered.
He glanced at Alexis who just stood there wide eyed, trying to process everything, then at Dianne who glared back at him with hatred in her eyes and then back at Candace.
He sighed and dropped his head. "I'm all ears" he said.
"I..." Alexis began.
"Not you" Noah immediately cut her short and he raised his head to face Candace.
'ouch' Alexis thought.
"I was drugged" Candace finally said after a short silence.
"Yeah after you went to his house" Noah began. "Candace that's everybody's story" he added.
"Will you let her finish?" Dianne questioned walking towards him. She didn't seem to like Noah at all. "Told you he's not worth it" she said to Candace and Noah sighed.
"Emanie knew I wouldn't fall for his tricks so he drugged me in the cafeteria" Candace told him. "You would know that if you actually listened to me" she added.
Noah was the type to act irrational when angry. He really thought Candace gave herself to Emanie so he broke up immediately. He instantly regretted it but he knew there was no way he was going back. He thought Candace cheated and the worst part was, the whole school knew about it.
"I..." Noah began. "I'm sorry". He felt really bad.
"You left me even though you're the reason Emanie did that to me" Candace said and tears began to form in her eyes.
"I'm sorry" he said softly.
"I used to be happy!" She yelled at him.
"Candace I'm sorry!" he yelled back at her and tears streamed down her cheeks. "I'm sorry" he added, pulling her into his arms.
Alexis was shocked.
'what!?' she thought. 'Noah and Candace dated? And Emanie slept with her to get revenge on Noah? And then Noah dumped her?' 'no wonder she hates my guts!'.
"Alexis" Noah called, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Pack your things" he added.
"Really?" Candace questioned.
"Yeah I've had enough of her" Noah replied. "She's gotta go" he added.
"I don't wanna leave" Alexis told him.
"Too bad it's not your choice" Noah replied.
"It is!" She replied. "You can't just make decisions for me" she added.
"I think we are all aware of how things go down when you make your own decisions" Noah said and Alexis looked away. "Or you have a reasonable explanation to justify yourself?" He questioned. "You don't even have to answer that question cuz I know if you had something to say, you would have said it" He added.
"You don't have to be mean Noah" Dianne told him.
Alexis was already crying again. Again!.
Noah sighed. "Look, the whole school is going to see Emanie's post" he began. "And trust me, Bevard students don't know how to keep their mouths shut" he continued. "Do you really want to put yourself through that?" He asked.
"I did" Candace said. "Let her stay if she wants to" she added.
Turns out Candace never really hated Alexis, she was just finding it hard to get over what happened between she and Noah.
Noah still didn't look unsatisfied but Candace seemed to be behind Alexis so he felt like there was nothing he could do.
"Fine" He said and he turned back to walk towards the door. He opened it and stepped out immediately, closing the door behind him.
"Well..." Dianne began "that was intense" she added.
Then Candace turned to face Alexis. She opened her mouth to say something but before she could push out her words, someone opened the door.
They all turned to see who it was and it was Noah.
"Candace..." He began. "Can we talk?" He asked.
"Some other time" she replied.
"Ok" he said and he closed the door.
"Does this mean you won't be mean to me anymore?" Alexis asked, forcing a smile.
"I'm sorry" Candace replied pulling her into a hug.
Dianne just stared at the both of them. Candace and Alexis hugging?, Well that's something nobody ever thought they'd see.
"And don't worry, you'll get through this" Candace said, letting her go. "Dianne and I are going to be here, always" she added.
Another reason Candace was being so nice was that she had been through the same thing and it was really though for her mostly because she went into depression and she pushed everybody away so somehow, nobody was really there to help her get through it. That's why she never really got over it. She hated to see anyone suffer through that, even if it was her ex boyfriend's little sister.
"Yeah, so if some jackasses try to talk shit to you about this just call us" Dianne said and she turned to look at Candace. "or maybe just call me" she continued, turning back to Alexis. "I'll deal with them" she added.
"Ok" Alexis replied, cheering up a little.
Then she remembered what Amarr said about Candace. He was right, she really was a good hearted person and all this while Alexis thought she hated her for no reason. She had thought about their first encounter many times to see if she had done anything wrong but she never really paid attention to the fact that Noah was with her when they first met.
It was also then she realized Emanie was actually being a jerk to her the first time they met and he wasn't nice till she mentioned she was Noah's little sister. It was so subtle she never paid attention to it.
"On the bright side, you're gonna love staying in your room now that you and Candace are friends" Dianne said.
"Yeah" Alexis replied
"So many things I have to talk about" Candace said with a little bit of excitement.
"So what are we going to do about Emanie?" Dianne asked.
"I don't know" Candace replied.
"I say we let Amarr break his arm again" Dianne said.
"What's the point of that?" Candace asked.
"Pain" Dianne replied with a shrug. "He will be in excruciating pain, doesn't that make you happy?" She asked.
"Amarr broke his arm when this happened to me" Candace began. "But that didn't really change anything, people still talked about it and he eventually healed and did the same thing to Alexis" She added.
"Ok, so we just have to break his arm and his leg" Dianne said
"You're not getting the point!" Candace shot back.
"Whatever" Dianne rolled her eyes. "And speaking of Amarr," she continued, turning to Alexis. "You really need to talk to him" she added.
"I don't know" Alexis said, stroking her arm. "I'm kinda nervous" she added.
"It's going to be fine" Dianne assured. "I'll follow you" she continued. "come on" she added.
"Ok" Alexis replied and she began to walk towards the door.
"Alexis wait" Dianne said, bringing her to a halt.
"What?" Alexis asked. Before she could completely turn back to face Dianne, she threw her a punch right across her face. "Ow!" She yelled, grabbing her face. "Why!?"
"Now I forgive you" Dianne told her and she flung the door open. "Come on" she said and she stepped out.
Alexis followed behind her, still grabbing her face. Her nose was still throbbing, she thought it was going to start bleeding again.
They got into the hallway and they immediately began to head towards the stairs. Soon they got into the second floor and they saw Wayne stepping out of his room.
"Hey" Dianne called his attention.
"Hey" he replied. "Sup Alexis" he added turning to her.
"Hey" Alexis replied kind of nervously. She didn't expect Wayne to talk to her.
"Where are you going?" Dianne asked him.
"To your room" Wayne replied.
"Why?"
"Cuz Amarr is in a terrible mood" he replied. "And Blake is in your room" he continued. "Are you here to see Amarr?" He asked
"Yeah" Dianne replied.
"Bad timing" he said with a short laugh right before he walked away.
Dianne rolled her eyes and knocked on the door.
"Go away" Amarr called from inside.
Dianne sighed and rolled her eyes again. "It's Dianne" she said.
Amarr rolled over on his bed to face the ceiling.
"Dianne, I want to be alone" he told her.
"Alexis is here too" Dianne said.
Amarr paused to think then he got up from his bed. He walked towards the door and reached for the door handle. Then he paused to think again and he stepped away from the door.
"Amarr?" Dianne questioned.
"I said I want to be alone" he replied.
"Just open the door Amarr" Dianne told him.
He sighed and he flung the door open. Dianne smiled at him but he didn't see her, he was staring at Alexis who was avoiding his gaze.
"I think I'll leave you two" Dianne said right before walking away.
Amarr just turned to walk back into his room and Alexis followed behind him, closing the door behind her.
