Alexis scurried down the lecture hall complex the next morning at exactly 8:15am.
She was already fifteen minutes late for her first lecture ever even after promising herself to go ten minutes early to every lecture. She had set her alarm to ring by 6:30am and it did that morning but there was no way she could have woken up at that time considering the amount of alcohol she had at the party and the stress it took her to pull Dianne off Fred.
Yeah, Dianne didn't stop at smashing the bottle on Fred's head, she also went ahead to tackle him. She would have probably killed him if Dianne and Amarr hadn't pried her off.
Dianne overlooked a lot of things but racism!? Hell nah!
Fred was definitely not going to be attending classes for a while.
Alexis finally stopped in front of a door and she bent to catch her breath. She had been running from the dorm and when she got into the class area, her running turned into speed walking. She didn't want to look stupid running in the halls.
She finally straightened up and began to mentally prepare herself for what she would see when she opens the door to the lecture hall.
A hall full of students and a lecturer standing in front of the class giving her the stink eye for coming late to his or her class.
"I got this" she muttered to herself as she took in a deep breathe and let it out
She then slowly pushed open the door and peeped in.
"What?" She muttered to herself as she gazed into the empty hall.
She was so confused. She stepped back and looked up at the number above the door.
The number 9 was boldly written in black paint above the brown wooden door.
"Yeah hall 9" she muttered looking down at her schedule.
'am I missing something?' she thought as she desperately stared down at the paper looking for answers.
She raised her head and pushed open the door.
As she stepped in she realized the class wasn't completely empty. There were three guys and a girl sitting in the front row with their noses buried in textbooks.
"Uh, hi guys" she said taking a seat behind them in the third row. None of them responded, they didn't even take their eyes off the books. "Uh.. any idea where every body else is?" She asked but still didn't get any response. They were so good at ignoring, it was like Alexis wasn't even there, "ok, so excited for literature 101" she said and as she did she heard two of them scoff, almost mockingly. Then she rolled her eyes "nerds" she muttered.
Then one of the guys turned back to give her the stink eye.
"Oh so now you hear me" Alexis said staring straight at the guy. He just rolled his eyes and turned back.
Alexis gave a sigh and flipped open her textbook. About ten minutes passed and few people began to walk into the hall.
Alexis saw a guy sit at the end of her row but she didn't pay attention to him, she was concentrated on her textbook.
Until, "what are you doing here?" She heard that deep sexy voice echo in her head.
She turned to see who it was and as she did her eyes grew wider. It was that green eyed guy from the party. The green eyed guy who was literally perfect in every way. The green eyed guy who literally caught Alexis drooling over him.
Alexis really wanted to give a sarcastic response to his question, something like 'oh nothing much, just golfing' but not to Mr perfect.
"Uh... I'm here for class" Alexis replied. She was kinda nervous at first but then a smile slowly creeped onto her face when she realized Mr perfect might actually be in the same class she was.
'things are finally coming up Alexis' she thought
"Yeah, there's no way" The guy began with a scoff "you're lost Goldilocks" he added pulling out a book from his backpack.
Alexis looked down at her blonde hair "what do you mean I'm lost?, this is hall 9 for Literature 101"she said with confidence
"Actually, this is applied thermodynamics 401" he said now looking down at his book.
"401 as in..." Alexis was saying
"Fourth year class" he replied without bothering to look up at her.
'he's a senior?' 'well that's a game changer' she thought
"Shit, I must be in the wrong hall" she said packing up her things, ready to go find her class.
"Actually, you're in the wrong building" he told her still staring down at his book
"What?" She questioned "I am so confused, it's says right here on my..." She was saying as she brought out her schedule.
"There are four lecture complexes. Complex A, B, C and D." He began finally raising his head to look at her "you're in complex D right now a.k.a the senior complex and you're probably looking for complex A hall 9" he explained and he immediately returned to his book.
It was then she realized that those guys in the front row knew she was in the wrong place and didn't even say anything.
'those assholes' she thought
"Uh, hey..." She began nervously " I was just wondering if you could..." She was saying
"Listen Goldilocks..." He cut her short. He was obviously getting frustrated by her.
"The name's Alexis" she said firmly "Alexis Ocasio" she added
"I don't give a shit what your..." He began but then he paused to think for about three seconds. "Did you just say Ocasio?" He asked "as in Noah Ocasio's sister?" He added
"Yeah" she replied "yeah I'm Noah's little sister" she added "how do you know my brother?" She asked
"Well, first off we've been in the same school for three years" he began and Alexis immediately felt stupid "second, his room used to be nextdoor to mine so we saw each other a lot" he added
"Ok, cool" she began "I'll be leaving now" she said getting up from her seat.
"Uh, if you don't mind, I could help you find your way to your class" he offered closing his textbook.
He brushed aside the strands of hair that fell over his face and literally began to stare directly into Alexis' soul. Before she could even say anything, she got lost in his bright green eyes. They were mesmerizing. And his Jawline...
'oh jeez'
"So what do you say Alexis?" He asked snapping her out of her thoughts
"That ,would be..." she paused like she was trying to find the right word "amazing" she finally added with a smile.
'jackpot'
