Leon left the inn in a hurry befitting a teenager that just gotten his first kiss, not a seasoned veteran of several wars. And yet, his cheeks continued to burn after that bold statement he gave to the girl.
'What am I, a horny kid or what?' he thought, berating himself for falling prey to something as simple as a sad face of a girl he barely know.
He then shook his head and took a deep breath, enjoying the freshness of the air outside of the inn.
However nice the food smelled inside, especially in the better half of the building, the hints of human odor were still there, souring the experience.
To say that the air outside, still in the middle of the city, was better, would be a gross overstatement. The odor of sweat and dirt was simply replaced with the unsavory smell of excrement and horse shit.
