'Argh…'
A silent groan escaped from Leon's mouth.
He woke up… but he didn't show it externally at all.
The bloodmancer used the small sound he just made to mask it as a simple moan of someone struggling to remain asleep. And to build up on this lie, he moved around on the bedding a little, changing position from one side to the other.
For the next few moments, he fought off all the morning drowsiness, clearing his mind from all the drag anyone would have upon waking up.
Then, and only then, did Leon slowly pry his eyes open, taking his time to assess the situation.
'Huh?' Leon thought, raising one of his eyebrows and properly pulling his eyelids open.
There was no danger anywhere within the tent and there were no sounds or shadows on the tent's wall that would indicate a danger outside.
