"Then it will only be a matter of time before a war between towers will erupt over her talents!"
Leon's words filled the preceptor's office. And the preceptor himself kept a straight face, stopping any expression that could imply doubt in those words.
"I can see that happening…" the preceptor muttered while rubbing his chin with his free hand. "Still," he then shook his head. "Why did you pick this method of dealing with the situation?"
The preceptor raised his eyes and looked straight into the darkness where he expected Leon's face to be.
He couldn't see him. He couldn't even see the outline of Leon's body. And ever since Leon moved, he shouldn't be able to know where, more or less, he was within the office.
And yet, his eyes moved exactly to the spot Leon occupied, as if he could somehow sense his presence.
