Gustav's trick had failed, and he now stood face-to-face with Erik. The injuries he had inflicted weren't enough to make Erik flinch.
"You really are a monster!" Gustav laughed out loud as he equipped another dagger. Gustav managed to take off his ear but injuring Erik was never a feat as Erik prioritized offense over defense.
Erik swung his ax vertically, aiming to split Gustav in two. Gustav barely escaped, leaping out of the way as the ax shattered the ground beneath them. The sheer strength of the blow was terrifying, and the durability of the ax, unscathed by the impact, was equally impressive.
"You are nimble!" Erik praised his enemy, recognizing Gustav was no pushover he could kill with ease but this only excited Erik more, before they could continue. He could hear the cheers of his warriors.
