Power system

Though I explain the power system the book uses you can come here and refresh your memory if you ever forget.

Mana: Mana is the energy that some humans are born with. From birth, the amount of mana you have is smaller however when a child reaches the age of fourteen the mana pocket fills to its brim. Note: Humans can't upgrade the amount of mana they have, because of this people use weapons that have mana poured into them so that the amount of mana used in their acts is reduced or increased. When humans exhaust their mana they can gain it back in a few hours however daemons can't since they never had any mana to begin with.

Gift: During growth mana can give some humans rare abilities that they can use without casting a spell, There was an array of possibilities, being able to see through walls, having increased vision. etc. The reason for this was simply that mana affected all beings differently, since mana flows through the bane of a human, some times it might affect certain parts of the body. Essentially enhancing those parts.

Types of magic: (1) Battle magic: This type of magic is mostly for offensive spells that could be directed through the arms, mouth, feet, or sword. If a battle magic act is poured into a sword then that sword would take on the element and either increase in damage or speed.

(2) Enhancement magic: This type of magic is mostly used offensively but defensive applications of it are there. You can cast it on your weapon to increase its strength or durability or you can cast it on yourself to increase your speed, strength, or overall dexterity.

(3) Healing magic: Just like the name suggests this type of magic is mostly used for healing, you can't create body parts with this type of magic however meaning once a body part is lost it's gone. Not for daemons though, daemons grow back their limbs putting mana toward the afflicted area or by using this type of magic.

(4) Support/Creation magic: This has a wide variety of ways it can be used, Gladius can use this type of magic to recreate anything she's seen before however, it's still a box of mana. If Gladius is defeated the support act will be dispelled. Now support acts can't be used offensively, they can be used passively to create things like mud pools or gusts of winds but they don't deal much damage to anything. Even though it is possible to recreate daemons using support magic, the daemons won't be able to attack. Note: If you create a castle using support magic, the longer the castle stays psychical the more your mana goes. BASICALLY you're spending mana to keep it on.

(I) Support magic branch- Summoning magic: This is still under support magic and the way it is used is by creating a support magic box or zone you can trap animals and the sorts to help you in battle. The zone is very easy to get out of and you have to find a space to place your support box but if you're in battle you can summon Beasts or animals directly into combat. You can do it for humans as well, but as mentioned previously. The box is very easy to leave. Note: This type of support magic doesn't take mana for keeping it active.

(II) Support magic branch- Creation magic: To create a house, you have to have seen that house before, and once created you are using your mana to create the actual house, people without mana will be able to touch this house but you can easily destroy the house by recalling your support magic or using another act to destroy it physically.

(III) Support magic branch- Illusion magic: This branch of support magic can't be done by just anyone, you need a wide mana pocket to create something inside the head of someone. This type of magic deals with creating animals or the like in the person's head they will be able to attack him however no real damage is suffered by the outer shell.

Acts: Acts refer to the amount of magic poured into a spell, Emirus will explain in more detail. But for example, If someone has a mana pool

of 10, if he casts an act 3 act 1 spells he would have seven left and won't be able to cast an act 10 spell again till his mana replenishes. On the same note depending on the amount of mana you have. In another instance you have a mana pool of 1000, your act one would be 10 instead of one. and you can cast up to act 12 and above. The larger your mana pool the more your acts take however it's mostly in a 10,20,30 etc style. meaning if you have a mana pool of 100,000 your act one would be 100 and your act 2 would be 200. Meaning that fights, where someone uses an act 10 spell to counter someone using act 1, are very possible.

(II) Acts: Even though most basic spells start from act one or two some more advanced spells can't go lower than a designated act. Like the Titanfall spell, "Frost blades of darkness" it must be done by an act of 15 or higher. Though by the same concept lower level spells can have higher acts, therefore, increasing their effect.

Spell: A spell is basically what you see as [Drauvagast bomb or Thunderbolt] these are spells and they are created by someone for his personal use and for the use of others. Spells are learned and the lower the act necessary for the spell the easier the spell is to learn. of course, that also goes vice versa.

Terminology

Mana pocket/Mana pool: This simply refers to the amount of mana you have.

"Most characters in the show have pretty decent mana pools, however, because they cast miniature spells they reduce it. Meaning: Instead of casting one act 20 spell and having their mana dry up they cast multiple acts in a 1.4,5.2, 3 format."

Toll/Backlash: Using acts takes a toll on your body so keeping fit by going to the gym and eating well are very necessary also rest. Lots of rest.

Enhanced swords: Swords enhanced by Enhancement magic get a particular effect, you can achieve this same effect using runes found in domains but this way is also possible. "The Kozaku Honojiri" Reduces the amount of mana spent when using an enhancement act on yourself or it. Instance if you cast an enhancement act with the value of 50 by having the kozaku honojiri, it takes like 25 because the sword will use some of the mana within it to complete the act by design. The same goes for when casting on it. Swords have the same design as humans, when a sword is created to have mana instilled into it, it develops a pseudo mana pocket and if the mana in the sword finishes it'll be replenished in a day or less. NOTE: The person that creates the sword knows the size of the mana pocket. If people put more mana that than can enter the swords mana pocket, the sword would either break or unleash a shockwave

Elemental affinities: Just like mana size each human knows the elements they are proficient in from birth, however the same does not go for yin and yang. These elements can come at time.

Elements: Each element has branches, branches are created when a clan mixes two elements or more to create completely different or new elements. Like the Drauvagast clan using Lava or the Altrathor clan using sound.

Fire — Lava

smoke(when combined with wood)

Water —- Ice

Steam(When mixed with fire)

Earth — Sand

Metal(When added with fire and glass when mixed with lightning)

Other elements can be created if you know their composition.

Wood(By adding yin)

Wind — (There's no second natural part of wind that can be obtained without addition.)

Gravity.

(By condensing the air using thunder and yang)

Lightning — Thunder

Sound(When mixed with wind)

Yin — Star — light

Time(when added yang)

Note: Since little is known about Yin and Yang magic finding spells are extremely hard and rare. Stardust which was used by Mael was thought to him by his father who suspected his son had an affinity for the element.

Yang — Negation — Corruption —

Corrosion

Petrification

Instantaneous destruction

Note: Same as yin no one has been able to find lots of spells for yang and people rarely even have an affinity for the element. The element is said to be stronger than yin.
