Chapter 2 - CH2- Finally, System!!

" Ugh ~"

Disoriented, Ryan huffed and struggled to get up from his bed. Feeling as if a train had passed over his head.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he put his hands on his head trying to ease the pain. Gradually the pain passed and he remembered what happened before he passed out.

One instant he was holding the magic core and the next he heard a voice in his head, before passing out.

Remembering the voice, Ryan whispered with anticipation mixed with uncertainty, "System?"

Following the command, a floating screen appeared in front of Ryan's face.

[Fiction Technology System]

-Host: Ryan Stark (17)

-Strength: Apprentice Warrior (Superior)

[Technology Points:]

-100 TP.

[System Functions:]

-Technology collection.

-Identify and analyze.

-Simulator.

[System buff:]

+500% learning speed.

...

After reading the on-screen information on his face, Ryan swore, "Seventeen years...I've waited seventeen years you bastard!"

There's a reason Ryan feels happy and angry at the same time.

In fact, Ryan's soul was initially not of this world. It all started seventeen years ago.

He was just an ordinary student in a computer engineering course. Hardworking, but not even close to being a genius.

A lover of science fiction and fantasy films, he always dreamed of traveling to another world and living great adventures.

Until it actually happened.

Ryan died in a traffic accident, caused by a drunk driver. And not. He didn't die saving a child or performing some heroic act.

He was just the driver of the car coming in the opposite direction of the truck. The driver fell asleep while driving, causing the truck to hit Ryan's car and kill him instantly.

Ryan saw a big flash, before everything went dark and he woke up seeing two giant faces. The faces belonged to their parents in this world.

Understanding that he had been reincarnated, Ryan thought that this would be the beginning of his great adventure. But things didn't turn out as he had imagined.

His mother died shortly after giving birth. His father, though loving, was always too busy taking care of the fortress.

Stark family territory. The fortress at the time his father ruled it had just over three thousand inhabitants, in addition to being a relatively poor territory.

His father was an aura warrior, although not unbeatable he was strong enough to protect the city against normal beasts.

Over time, Ryan understood that the situation in the world where he was reincarnated was not good at all.

The place where the Stark fortress was located was called the Argom continent.

A gigantic landmass, much larger than any continent on your previous world. Home to countless fortresses, kingdoms and empires. In addition to many species.

Argon was a world of magic, where mana allowed warriors to forge their bodies into true weapons of war. And that mages could perform incredible feats using their mana to cast powerful spells, such as healing someone on the brink of death or destroying a city.

However, Argon didn't just have beauties in its territory. There were very dangerous things.

The continent was densely populated by hordes of beasts that hunted any kind of living being.

The hordes caused death and destruction wherever they went, forcing people to gather in strongholds. Already the most powerful living beings created great kingdoms or empires.

...

Without any tools to put him ahead of the others, Ryan grew up under great pressure just like everyone else on the continent.

Therefore, from an early age he always put effort into his training. Thanks to his and his father's efforts, Ryan showed talent in the warrior's way, quickly growing in strength. And at sixteen he was almost as strong as his father's most trusted warrior.

Alfred, was his father's right-hand man and also his brother. Hence Ryan's uncle.

He was the person who showed Ryan the most care and affection, providing training and attention. Since Ryan's father was always busy.

When Ryan was about to turn seventeen, a horde of beasts attacked the Stark stronghold.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they were rank 1 beasts, but one of the beasts had reached rank 2. Equivalent to a strong aura warrior.

As the only warrior strong enough, Ryan's father fought the beast atop the fortress wall. However, the beast was stronger than its father.

He fought valiantly, but only managed to stop the beast from entering the fortress, wounding it in the process. But when the attack ended, Ryan's father was seriously injured.

Leaving a few words of regret for not having given the attention he owed his son, he died. Leaving Ryan with the duty of protecting the inhabitants of the fortress.

Being his father's sole heir, Ryan assumed the post of lord of the fortress. With the support of Alfred and his son Dylan.

...

'What happened cannot be changed.' Ryan thought with a sigh, before opening his eyes again with a smile.

"Although late, you finally arrived." He laughed happily.

Looking over the side of his bed, he saw his sword. Picking it up, he tested one of his system's functions.

He looked at the sword and gave a mental command.

Immediately, a screen with information appeared.

[Steel Sword]

-Rating: 1 Star (Lower)

-Status: Good.

[A sword forged primarily by the union of iron and carbon, despite having flaws in the creation process.]

The screen contained a basic explanation of the sword, as well as a wide variety of information, from the sword's composition to its forging method.

However, that was not the most interesting aspect. In addition to the sword's information, the screen also showed the failures that occurred during its forging.

Putting his sword aside, Ryan tested another function of his system.

'Access the collection,' he thought.

After the command, Ryan felt as if his consciousness was pulled into an entirely different space. But he still maintained a clear perception of the environment around his body.

The environment within his consciousness was like a gigantic futuristic looking library, a multitude of books were stored on the shelves, each identified by a hologram containing its basic information.

Taking his eyes off the practically endless shelves, Ryan noticed a table-shaped mainframe with a floating screen in front of him.

Walking to the mainframe and looking at the screen, he came to the conclusion that it was a research center for the information contained in the collection.

Interacting with the screen, Ryan began to explore the list of technologies.

There was a variety of technology, from farm equipment plans to bullet train plans.

He also realized that each of the technologies he observed was rated in stars, understanding then that the method of creating his sword was rated as a lower 1-star technology, the lowest rating.

Also, he couldn't just gain access to the information. It was necessary to pay to access the information, using a currency called technology points (TP).

Looking at his status, he verified that he had 100 TP. Instinctively he understood that his points were generated by absorbing the energy contained in the magic core he found in the deer.

...

After exploring the list for a while, Ryan suddenly widened his eyes and brought his face closer to get a better look at the screen.

"How is this here?!" he practically screamed in surprise.

The item Ryan saw on the screen immediately revived old memories of his previous world, memories he had buried long ago.

[Arc reactor V1]

-Invented by a genius scientist after studying the energy contained in a powerful artifact, and later perfected by his son. It is a powerful miniature technological artifact capable of generating an enormous amount of energy.

- 3-star technology (intermediate)

-Price: 2,000 TP

Looking at the item's name and description, even though the creators' names were not revealed, Ryan was immediately reminded of a certain fictional universe from his previous world.

Relating the name of his system and the item in question, Ryan's eyes quickly gained a growing glow as a smile grew on his face.

"Looks like things are going to get pretty fun going forward." He laughed excitedly.
