Chapter 6 - Pursue her.

The phone rang for the second time in the last five minutes. Bonnie groaned as she rolled on her bed. Sighing, she picked up her phone which was lying beside her pillow, cursing the person responsible for disturbing her sleep.

"Hello", Bonnie answered groggily.

Bonnie rushed to the Emergency ward where she found a woman lying helplessly on a bed. Her heart clenched tightly at the sight of the woman who was seriously banged up.

Next to the bed, a man shouted rudely, "Do it properly! It's hurting me" The man moved fiercely, causing him to bleed more.

"Keep your voice down. This is a hospital" Bonie voiced out strongly.

The man looked in the direction of the voice and sneered, "What a coincidence! Doctor Bonnie Green"

"Doctor Levis, Let me" Bonie respectfully said. "Don't make any sound if you don't want me to call the police??" Bonnie said, with her teeth grinding lividly.

"Oh my god! Are you threatening right now?" Sebastian said with a smug smile on his face.

Bonnie glared at him while her hands pressing his hands hard.

"You Bitch! I am your father. Do it properly" The smile on his face disappeared and his eyes narrowed into slits, flashing angrily at her.

"Father! So dramatic" Bonie snapped, as her hands clenched into a fist in anger.

With his hands fidgeting, he roared as he fumed in anger, "Why? Your adopted parents raised you to become a doctor".

"Bastard that's what you are," Bonie said angrily at him. "Don't you dare to hit my mom again?" Bonnie said in a deadpan tone.

"What are you going to do?" Sebastian raised his hand to slap Bonnie, but his hand was caught mid-air.

"Let go!" Sebastian tried wriggling his hand out of a strong grip. He stared at her wickedly at the handsome man who caught his wrists.

"Man, This is a hospital. Have some respect". The man said in a gentle tone.

Bonnie wiped away the tear that rolled down her cheek with the back of her palm. "I am sorry. Please let go of him" She requested the man.

"Yo Man, are you feeling better?" Doctor Tony asked with concern.

"Do I look like I'm feeling better to you?" Nolen knitted his brows and countered back.

"Don't be so upset. Control your temper!" Doctor Tony grinned cheekily. "You have to run some tests" Tony added.

He cleared his throat and said calmly, "She is my sister. Her name is Bonnie Green. I am not just recommending her to you because she is my sister".

Nolen paused and looked at him amusedly, "Your sister is also a doctor".

"Yes Sir" Nolen replied with mock politeness.

Tony dropped his eyes and remained silent.

"Safe journey, My friend" Nolen share a hug with his friend.

"I guess, you will gonna miss me a lot" Nolen broke the hug with a broad grin on his face.

"You've got to be kidding me" Nolen narrowed his eyes into slits as he punched his right palm with his left hand.

In Wayne Mansion...

"Grandma, Why don't you have a cup of floral tea?" Aunt Seila asked.

Grandma shook her head, she threw her a sideway glance while switching channels with the TV remote control.

Nolen stopped by the door, but Grandma suddenly crooked her finger toward him and said, "My dear Grandson Nolen, Come and help me".

"Oh, please, Grandma!" Nicholas muttered under his breath, standing at the end of the staircase and staring at them helplessly.

"Mother, your salad" Katty also filled a bowl with porridge and served her mother.

"Mother, I am so sorry. I couldn't join you the lunch on your birthday. Your son-in-law is so busy with his campaign" Katty said in an apologetic tone.

"I can understand" Grandma replied. From the corner of her eyes, she cast a glance at Nicholas sitting in front of her.

"Grandma, I am sorry too. I had an appointment in hospital" Nolen said.

Grandma put down her spoon and said in concern, "How was your health?"

"I am recovering right now" Nolen replied with a small smile.

After dinner, Nicholas walked in while coughing and said, "Grandma, I am going now".

Nicholas frowned, lowered his head, and said, "Grandma, I am leaving".

"Who stops you? Do whatever you like" Grandma said with a disinterested look.

The air in the living room became even thinner because of the chill that was emitted from Nicholas. Feeling a little hard to breathe, Barry slowly stood up and said, "I… I'll go get the water."

Nicholas closed his eyes for a moment, then reopened them and calmed back down. He can't stand his Grandma ignoring him all day.

"Grandma, I don't have the intention to get married" He blurted out.

"Did I tell you to get married? I am telling you to pursue her" Grandma said, extremely irritated.

Grandma finally turned her eyes to Nicholas with a slightly strange expression, "Don't tell me you don't have confidence".

"What....?" a burst of laughter was heard from Nicholas.

"Alright! Make some time tomorrow. We will have dinner together with Watson's family" Grandma picked up the apple on the table and started to peel it.
