Ramiel stares at the moon, watching as it reflects the light. He then looks at the map laid on his desk. His hands move across the paper tracing his fingers along each kingdom in order to find the one he wants.
Suddenly an idea pops into his mind, a perfect plan to unite the 9 kingdoms in peace.
He thinks excitedly the 9 kingdoms Phetia, Slearus, Ezivaria, Phasha, Geles, Astarean, Vikar, Aecotor and Hepis are the most prominent kingdoms of Pecesia ramiel plans on paying them a visit so he can convince the 9 kingdoms to agree with peace and work together so they can restore their lands and unite again.
Ramiel stands up grabbing a cloak and a plain sword from underneath his bed and puts on his boots.
After making sure no one sees him, Ramiel leaves the old house heading towards the north.
It takes will take him 7 days by foot to reach Hepis and he hopes the journey won't tire him out but he knows better than to underestimate himself especially with the fact that the kingdoms are very dangerous and have never accepted just anyone because of the on-going war.
When he reaches a small village he enters the inn to get some food.
"Excuse me sir" a woman sitting next to him says "Where are you headed? The roads aren't safe for traveling anymore after the war."
Ramiel looks up at the woman, his face is emotionless while his blue eyes shine. "To Hepis ."
"I know it isn't safe for travelers, but I think you might want to reconsider before entering the region. I've heard there is a dangerous monster roaming around there, they call it 'Demon'"
Ramiel stares at the woman, not saying anything for a while. He then shakes his head, "no"
The woman sighs "Well… okay.. I guess we cannot force you. Good luck to you and don't die!" she jokes and grins.
Ramiel smiles as he leaves the inn with his bag on his shoulder.
As the days pass by Ramiel continues on his journey to Hepis. Every day he passes by a small village he gets some food and supplies and then leaves. Everything was going smoothly when suddenly a small commotion caught his attention a carriage was blocked by a group of bandits the guards protecting the carriage were all heavily injured.
Ramiel quickly rushes to the side of the road and jumps over the bushes and trees hiding behind them.
Once he approaches he watches the scenario the carriage was carrying a beautiful woman
The bandits have long seen the woman and the guards back in town
"Hey lady! Come out so that you can give us a ride!" A bandit yelled while pointing at the woman.
"No" answered the woman calmly
the bandits laughed and laughed.
"If you're not coming out, then we'll have to drag you out by your hair. I suggest you step down" threatened a bandit with a knife.
"I'm afraid you're going to have to try harder than that," said the beautiful woman.
Ramiel watched as the bandits surrounded the woman
The loyal guards of the woman has long been dead leaving the woman alone against so many bandits.
"Are you going to sit inside your carriage all day or shall we drag you out" The bandit who was the leader of the bandits asks the woman with the biggest smile ever, "We've heard tell that you are pretty and delicious and if you come with us all the way to Hepis I promise to make you the prettiest woman in the kingdom. Just imagine what we can do with such beauty! your value would be high in the black market.
Ramiel felt disgusted seeing those words, but the beautiful woman only smiled softly "I wouldn't want something like "
Her answer makes the bandits laugh loudly and they prepared to forcefully take action since the woman was unguarded
and defenseless.
Suddenly Ramiel jumps from behind startling the bandits and strikes them unconscious on the spot, knocking them on the ground causing the bandits to drop their weapons Ramiel was ready to fight he has fought in war for more than 80 years and even called the god of war to kill someone was natural to him he gave the bandits a look . They were shocked, they didn't even know they were fighting the previous god of war . Before they could do anything else Ramiel took out his sword and decapitated them very quickly like slaying a chicken.
Then he looked at the woman, whose eyes widened in shock at the sight and then Ramiel held out his hand "come with me" She stared at his hand before finally giving a nod with a smile and grabbing his hand.
They left through the woods.
"what is your name ?" Ramiel asked
"Eva I am known for being wise and compassionate."
"You seem to be quite capable, why go to hepis ? the kingdom known to be ruled by war and violence." Ramiel asked.
Eva shrugged "I suppose I needed to be away from my duties and it has been a while since I saw Hepis ...so I planned to to join my friend who was stationed there to help the abused as much as I can"
She replied.
Ramiel nodded "I see"
"What happened back there your movements and fighting prowess are comparable to the Knights back in my kingdom are you perhaps a knight ?"she asked .
Ramiel nods with a small chuckle.
Eva stares at Ramiel confused "Why are you laughing?" she questions
Ramiel cannot imagine her face if she knew that he was the greatest general to ever live and was also the one who united the 9 kingdoms before.
But he doesn't say that out loud and answers Eva instead.
"I'm just a happy wanderer who saves beautiful women like you from trouble" Ramiel said with a smile.
Eva blushes and lowers her head "I appreciate it."
"But you really look like the large statue erected in the kingdom of Phetia the great god of war Ramiel she blushed when she thinks about ramiel and how he brought peace to this lands even if she wasn't born during his time his legends continued to be passed on to the younger generation and Phetia was the only kingdom who respected his laws even until now the current queen of Phetia is the 9th descendant of the 1st queen similar to the 1st queen she has adored Ramiel and wishes for peace as well since she believes that the greatest threat is the dark continent. The other 8 kingdoms are wary of the dark continent and fear of it's power, but greed got the better of them and the dark continent is the last thing on their minds.
"me looking like ramiel ?, well many people say I look like him." Ramiel said as they walked towards Hepis and soon made it.
Hepis looked so dark and gloomy, yet beautiful at the same time it gives off an ominous aura, and the buildings surrounding it weren't any different. As they entered Hepis ramiel had to admit the place looked very different from the past ; the buildings were bigger and much brighter.
Ramiel followed Eva to a tavern called "Swan", where they gave them unwelcomed looks from the locals and Ramiel tried to ignore them. He could hear the music playing through the walls. The music sounded beautiful and relaxing but it felt so wrong to Ramiel, it reminds him too much of battle.
"Are you hungry, I hope it' s ok if I order some food" Eva said once they found themselves a table.
"That would be fine" Ramiel replied while looking at all the different kinds of dishes and wine being served.
Eva ordered for Ramiel a few things and soon came back with two plates full of different type of meals.
"Here you go" Eva said handing Ramiel his plate.
Ramiel thanked her and started eating.
"So what brings you here to Hepis?" Eva asked.
Ramiel stops midbite and looks at the beautiful woman in front of him. His expression stays neutral though "to unite the 9 kingdoms" Ramiel said there was no point in hiding it from her anymore.
"I see" Eva said
Ramiel continued eating without talking
"you believe me ?" ramiel asked her after finishing his meal and looking at Eva.
Eva pauses, considering what she should say. "I have never believed in gods nor in general until recently... But you remind me of the legend of the God of War" she admitted.
Ramiel smiles "You mean ramiel?"
Eva smiles back "Yes, the legends said he is so strong that none was his match and with his might alone he united the 9 kingdoms and he always killed whoever angered him" she told him "That is why I think you can do it too because I can feel that you are somehow similar to him." She said
honestly.
Ramiel did not say another word and went up to hid bedroom and closed the door behind him.
