After all these years, the little brat did not change one bit. Okay. She fucking changed. A lot. I fucking remember exactly what she looked like the last time I saw her. She was 14. She was a brat. She was insufferable. She was annoying. Those were the only descriptions that suited her.
But now… ten years later…
She had transformed into something close to beautiful. Yes, I had seen her recent pictures prior to this moment, but they were nothing compared to what I was seeing right now as I stared at her. She was in some formal taupe dress that held snugly to curves that were surprisingly voluptuous. I had no fucking clue why her being sexy threw me off a bit.
Sexy was not supposed to be in her list of descriptions. Infuriating and over-pampered described her better.
It wasn't a dress that was actually suggestive, but the way it ended in the middle of her thighs, flaunting long legs in black designer heels, made it feel like she wore this on purpose. She had the body of a fucking doll, and I would think it was all plastic surgery if I didn't know what fake boobs and hips looked like.
Her arms were really slender, just like her neck and waist, but toned like a runner's. But her curves and thighs were soft and full, nothing like a runner's. Her dark brown hair fell down the sides of her face and her back in waves that reached her waist. Her face was almost the same, though. The same cupid-bow lips. The same arrogantly straight nose. The same slender cheekbones. The same emerald siren eyes.
Green eyes that were currently staring straight back at me. Those eyes were filled with so much hate that I almost smirked. The feeling's mutual, little brat. She was not so little anymore, but I decided I liked that nickname better than her name. Even her fucking name was insufferable.
She tipped her chin away and dismissed me rudely, smiling at my parents instead. "Hello, Mr. Reyes, Mrs. Reyes, it's good to finally meet you. Dad said so much about your family, it's such a shame I don't remember much of the time I spent with you as a child."
Did she just fucking ignore me?
A burning feeling creeped under my skin, and I smirked internally. She was really still a bitch. As they exchanged pleasantries, I stepped forward and spoke to her directly. "Alexandra." I nearly grimaced as I said her name. "Congratulations on becoming a CEO today. I'm sure you have a lot to learn from me as we become partners."
Her eyes narrowed as she caught on to the insult I had slipped into my words. Her face was murderous. "I learned from the best, that's why others are coming to us for partnerships." She said venomously, but a smile appeared on her face. "I'm sure even you did not get the opportunity to sign a merging contract between two billion-dollar companies on your first day."
I arched my eyebrow a millimeter. She did not offer her hand, and I did not offer mine. This was going to be a fucking painful partnership. The air between us crackled like lightning, and her dad must have noticed because he chuckled awkwardly. "I'm sure the CEOs have a lot of catching up to do. They can do that at tonight's dinner, right?"
"Of course." My father agreed.
Her mom laughed, "You both don't have to be so formal with each other, Lexi and Leandro! This is the start of another friendship, just like when you were kids.."
My mother added, "Oh, they got along so well. They were inseparable. I'm sure this will be good for our businesses."
Inseparable? Were they fucking blind? I hated this little brat since we met at a really young age. I still fucking do. Even more with the way she was staring haughtily at me. Then I remembered that I had gifted her an unpleasant surprise this morning by buying the Limo she had rented. I just wanted to rub it in, and bruise her ego and feelings mercilessly.
"You are right." I said darkly. "We got along so well that she even told me about the Limo she planned to ride in the day she becomes CEO. I wonder if it's anything like the Limo I arrived in, Lexi?"
Her eyes widened. Her parents laughed, "Oh, that was just a silly obsession. She's all grown up now, I'm sure she doesn't care about it anymore. She came in a GLE 2022 that she absolutely loves. Right?"
Murderous anger slipped through the cool expression she had on as she clenched her fists, glaring straight at me. That's when I knew I had hit somewhere that hurt. I let out a sadistic grin, immensely satisfied by the hate shining in her eyes. Oh, maybe this could be fun. Since I couldn't escape her, I would fucking make her run from me.
Somebody cleared their throat softly. "It's time for the meeting."

Alexandra
I was seething. Seething.
That prick. That fucking prick.
How dare he buy the Limo of my dreams, and then come out here to rub it in? And he just casually called my nickname Lexi like he had the fucking right to? I dragged in a deep, deep breath. He's worth none of my time. I was going to get payback for what he did, but for now I need to pay attention to the meeting.
I shifted my gaze slightly only to meet his eyes from across the large boardroom table. Those stupid metal grey eyes. It wasn't helping that he was sitting on the other end of the table, facing me. The two top leaders on the opposite heads of the table.
The eye contact was brief, because he dismissed my stare and looked instead at the executive that was making a speech right now. My fingers tightened on the pen in my grip. Who does he fucking think he is that he can just be dismissive towards me like I was one of his fucking employees?
