Baekhyeon University
Yoon Hee walks with a slightly pounding step and a keen sense of sight to pay attention to every title on the bookshelves. She is currently in the college library, which is what she likes least about this campus. If it wasn't for the assignment given by the lecturer in one of her courses, she would definitely not have come to this place. Her intention to buy ice cream was canceled because her group friend told her to look for a book.
It's been almost half an hour for Yoon Hee to find the book she needs, but she hasn't found it yet. The campus library should have a sophisticated technological system to search for books instead of having students search manually like this.
She almost gave up looking for her book among the thousands of books that are here. But it seems that the goddess Fortuna took pity on her until she finally found the existence of the book she needed, but unfortunately, the book was at the very top of the bookshelf. Yoon Hee's gaze shifted to the right-left, looking for a chair or whatever she could use, and the woman even left that location. Soon she returned with a small ladder that he could use.
With a flowery heart that has found the book, Yoon Hee immediately goes up the stairs to reach the book. However, the stairs were not enough to reach the book.
"Why should the book be on top? Make it difficult for people with small stature," grumbled Yoon Hee, who was currently starting to tiptoe to make it easier for her to reach the book, but she still couldn't get the book.
As she was trying to pick up the book she wanted, a hand suddenly extended near her face. Curious about who the owner of the white hand is, Yoon Hee turns her head and finds a figure that is familiar to her. The figure who some time ago crossed paths with her and made his corndog have to be thrown away because it fell, Hwang Ian.
Unexpectedly for Yoon Hee, her eye beads apparently meet Ian's, who is also staring at her. For a few seconds, the two stared at each other until the sound of a falling book finally brought them back to their senses. Right at that moment, Yoon Hee actually lost her balance, making her body fall. Unfortunately, she accidentally pushed Ian's body, and the young man's body fell and became Yoon Hee's mattress.
Yoon Hee, who immediately realized the uncomfortable position, immediately stood up. But she accidentally pressed Ian's stomach when she was about to wake up, making Ian wince in pain.
"I'm sorry!" Yoon Hee said this until she bowed down to a 90-degree angle. In her heart, she frowned. She probably made a mistake twice, with the same person. The corner of Yoon Hee's eye accidentally caught the book Ian was holding at the moment. Yoon Hee smiles a little because Ian apparently picked up the book she needed.
"Don't keep slouching like that. It's not good for your spine," Ian said, making Yoon Hee straighten up again.
Unexpectedly for Yoon Hee, the young man just left with the book she needed. It makes Yoon Hee confused. She scratched her head, which was not really itchy. She was the first to see the book, but why did he take it?
"Ah shit!" Yoon Hee grumbled. She ran after Ian. "Wait a minute."
"What is it?" asked Ian.
"That book," Yoon Hee said, pointing to the book Ian was holding and making the young man look at it, "I found it first, so please give it to me."
Ian tilted his head to hear the words from Yoon Hee earlier. Ah, so this is the book that the girl, Ian, is going to take.
"But I took it first. Excuse me." After saying that, without caring about Yoon Hee, he left her standing in her place.
"Hey!" Yoon Hee shouted in annoyance without caring if she was still in the library. "Sucks! You think because you're handsome I'm going to let it go, huh?"
With a slight step on the beat and walking quickly, Yoon Hee runs after Ian, who has taken the coveted book. The young man is now standing in front of the librarian's desk to register for a book loan.
"Wait!" Yoon Hee's exclamation made Ian and the librarian turn their heads towards her. "This book was borrowed on behalf of Jung Yoon Hee, Faculty of Chemistry, in 2019."
Ian was silent for a moment while looking at Yoon Hee, who was looking at him sarcastically. Then he turned his eyes away.
"The book has been borrowed in his name, Jung Yoon Hee," the librarian said, breaking the silence between the two men.
The librarian's words made Yoon Hee turn her head and look a little annoyed at the librarian.
"You can borrow it after I'm done, Jung Yoon Hee," Ian said as he picked up the book and hurried to leave Yoon Hee sculpting.
Really, Yoon Hee is very upset because the book she found first was borrowed by someone else, not herself. "His face is handsome, but his attitude is not."
"Hey, don't you know who he is?" asks the librarian, who is still a department friend and Yoon Hee's classmate.
"I don't know, and I don't want to know either," Yoon Hee retorted.
"He's Hwang-ja, Hwang Ian, you know?"
Yoon Hee shook her head.
"Gosh, even though he's very famous among the students of one college, you don't know?"
"No, and I don't care," said Yoon Hee, who was still upset about the incident.
"One more thing, he's the 2018 force. That means one year above you, Yoon Hee."
The librarian's words made Yoon Hee, who was still standing in front of the desk, immediately look at the librarian with a surprised look that she couldn't hide. She had no idea that in her second year of college she would be disrespectful to her seniors. What will happen to her after this?
