Chereads / Kumo / Chapter 22 - Build a Bitch

Chapter 22 - Build a Bitch

"Yes, she is almost complete, Sir." A man said, talking on the phone. "Yes, of course." He said, before the call was hung up from the other end.

"Was that the boss?" Another man asked.

"Yes, he wanted to know about my progress on the Android." The first man replied.

"Well, how is it? That kinda stuff is interesting to me..." The second man asked, being curious of the Android the first man mentioned.

"Well, it's going fine, though the boss had... interesting requests..." The first man responded.

"Oh? Like what? A nice rack? I don't blame the man, he has someone who can make him a perfect girl, who wouldn't want a hot woman that they can make do whatever they want?" The second man said, getting excited.

"No, nothing like that... Infact, it's kinda the opposite, she's more child sized, and isn't meant for sexual service, though she can be used for it, but she's an Android with an incredible A.I., she'll be able to choose whether or not she wants to do certain things, and figure out what she likes and dislikes, until she does it we won't know." The first man said, beginning to make a cup of coffee.

"I see... So the boss has creepy kinks, huh? I guess it's to be expected from a rich guy." The second man sighed.

The first man turned to face the second. "I just told you, she isn't for anything sexual, she's more of a weapon than a toy. And just because she isn't Human doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with her, she's still alive, just like you and me." The first man said, getting angry at the second man.

"Alright, dude, calm down... You act like they're your kids or something." The second man said, making a joke and shrugging off the first man's anger.

'I suppose I see them as my children... they all mean so much to me, this'll be the first one that I sell...' The first man thought, walking away from the second.

"Hah hah!" The man laughed, as he sat down a cup of coffee. "She works!" The man shouted as he looked over an Android with blonde hair, the Android layed in a bed inside of a lab, a blanket covered her, but it was obvious that she had no clothes. "At least, she should... I shouldn't jump the gun just yet." The man said, as he reached behind her head and a clicking noise was made. Suddenly the Android's eyes opened, her eyes sparkled light blue.

"What is your name?" The man asked, picking up his cup of coffee, testing the Android's A.I..

"I am called... Pe-Pe... Pen... Pek... ki... Peki." Peki said, almost glitching.

The man looked down to think. "Wh-What? Did I do something wrong?" The man asked himself. He looked up at Peki and saw her blonde hair turn to blue, pink, and red. His face frozen is surprise.

"What's wrong, Docter?" Peki said, questioning his surprise.

"Your hair..." Docter said, as he dropped his cup of coffee, it shattered as crashed against the floor. The man rushed to setup a camera that pointed at Peki.

"Docter, what are you doing...?" Peki said, becoming embarrassed.

Docter lifted his head up from the camera. "What, what's wrong?" Docter said, confused of why she's embarrassed.

"I'm still naked you know?" Peki asked, thinking he's trying to film her naked.

"Oh, there's clothes over there for you." Docter pointed at a closet. Peki looked over where he pointed, she got up and walked over to the clothes that sat on a counter top.

'These?' Peki thought, assuming these clothes since they're the only ones. She held a schoolgirl outfit that was white and pastel blue, the tie was pink. After Peki had put the clothes on, she returned to the bed and sat criss cross, watching Docter do whatever he's doing.

"Docter..." Peki said, getting Docter's attention.

"What is it, Penelope?" Docter said, not looking at Peki.

'My name is Peki...' Peki thought, confused about how Docter didn't remember. "Um... Your phone is going off." Peki said, not knowing if the call is important.

"Oh shit!" Docter said, rushing to his phone. "Yes, hello?" Docter said, as he answered the call.

"So? You said you'd call in an hour if things went well... I waited thirty minutes past and I received nothing, I assume there was an error?" The boss said.

"Oh, n-no Sir... not really..." Docter said, not knowing how to explain what happened.

"Oh? Then what happened?" The boss said, becoming confused.

"Um. Could you come down here, to the lab?" Docter said, thinking that's the best choice.

"Huh? You want me to come to the lab? Is she finished?" The boss asked, becoming more confused.

"You won't understand unless you see this..." Docter said, doing his best to convince the boss.

"Hm... Fine, Doc, but this better be quick, I already wasted half a damn hour waiting for you." The boss said, hanging up the phone.

"Did I... do something wrong?" Peki asked, feeling worried.

"No, I don't believe you did. But your name is supposed to be Penelope, not Piggy, like you called yourself. And your hair is supposed to be blonde not blue..." Docter said, trying to think.

"My name... isn't Piggie, it's Peki... P-E-K-I, Peki." Peki said, feeling sad that her creator doesn't know her name.

"Whatever, Pixie." Docter said, not really caring about what she says.

"Alright, what it is?" The boss said, as he walked into the room.

"There." Docter said, pointing at Peki.

"What'd you do to her? Her hair was supposed to be blonde." The boss said, wondering what happened.

"It was, and it just... switched." Docter said, putting his hands ontop his head.

Peki cried, silently. 'It's because I'm not Human... isn't it? You don't view me as a person, even though I can feel, I can speak, I can do anything you can.' Peki thought, growing slight hatred for the two. Peki looked intensely at the boss and Docter, she shot a lazer at them.

"Woah!" Docter said, as it went right in between them.

"Whatever, as long as she can use the weapons I had you add, then it doesn't matter." The boss, said walking up to Peki.

"Yeah, they seem to work..." Docter said, still confused by the hair color.

"Come on, Penelope, you work for me now." The boss said, looking at Peki.

"You didn't even ask my name... Why do you assume it's Penelope?" Peki asked, looking at the boss with anger.

"Because I named you." The boss said, getting straight to her answer.

"Well, you must have the wrong Android, because my name is Peki." Peki said, trying not to be intimated.

"Peki...? Did you type it wrong, Doc?" The boss said, turning to Docter.

"N-No, it says it here in her code, Penelo-... Peki?" Docter said, looking at Peki's code on his computer.

"Fine then, but these things will effect your pay." The boss said, turning back to Peki.

"Wait! We can change her wig to a blonde one, maybe I was losing it and put the wrong wig on her, it's an easy fix!" Docter said, rushing to find his spare blonde wig. "Here it is!" Docter said, holding up the wig.

"Well, put it on her." The boss said.

"Peki, I need you to hold you still." Docter said, showing Peki the wig.

Peki looked scared. "I... won't. I don't trust you!" Peki shouted, scared of what they're trying to do.

"Calm down, Peki. I'll just take it off." The boss said, grabbing her hair and trying to pull the wig off.

"Ahhhhh!" Peki screamed, in pain as the boss pulled.

"Shut up and take it off!" The boss said, getting annoyed.

"Please, stop! You're hurting me!" Peki screamed, as the boss pulled more.

"Hey, boss, it won't come off like that!" Docter said, pulling the boss' hand away.

Peki looked in fear, as tears ran down her face. "I don't wanna be here... Let me leave..." Peki said, trying to get away from the two.

"No, you're my Android." The boss said, pulling her off the bed. "Forget the wig. Here's your money, see ya." The boss walked away, grabbing Peki's hand.

"You've done nothing but cry since we got to my mansion, most people would be happy to live in a place like this, why aren't you?" The boss asked, looking at Peki who is silently crying on a counch in the boss' office.

"You scare me." Peki said, trying not to talk much.

"Why don't you just kill me, you tried earlier, right?" The boss said, asking mire questions.

"I did try... But I failed, I don't know how to aim." Peki said, still crying.

"Then I'll have you taught to aim." The boss said, giving her

"But why? I'd be able to kill you." Peki said, her eyes drying from being distracted.

"Yes, but I hope by then we have an unbreakable bond." The boss said, looking at a picture on his desk. "Penelope." The boss said, to himself.

"My name isn't-" Peki said, getting cut iff by the boss.

"I wasn't calling you Penelope, Peki." The boss said, sounding a bit sad.

"Oh..." Peki said, not completely understanding.

"Penelope... was my daughter. I had Docter build you in the image of her, I know that I can't give you things she liked, so I planned to raise you as I raised her and possibly you'd grow to like the same things..." The boss said, looking at Peki woth sad eyes.

"Where is Penelope?" Peki said, wondering why he'd need two Penelopes.

"She's dead, Peki. I found her corpse mangled and destroyed in her room, it was... horrible..." The boss said, choking on his words.

"Oh my..." Peki said, realizing why she was made.

"You were supposed to be her replacement... I miss my angel so much, I don't even have the will to live anymore... So I wanted to have her back." The boss said, beginning to cry. "But... you aren't her." The boss said, in a weak voice.

"You've done great, Peki." The boss said, facing Peki. "You've been here nearly two months, and you've already finished your training." The boss said, smiling at Peki.

"Only because you helped me, thank you, Dad." Peki said, smiling back at the boss.

"Peki... you know how I feel about... *that*..." The boss said, looking away from Peki.

"Oh... sorry..." Peki said, looking sad, but hiding how sad she actually was.

"Now go back to your room, I've got some work to do." The boss said, telling her to leave.

"Yes, Dad." Peki said, leaving instantly.

'I do try to be his perfect daughter... just like he wanted... but he hates *that* about me...' Peki thought, as she walked the halls of the mansion, going to her room. Peki opened the door to her room, entered, shut the door, and fell onto her bed. 'I'll do my best to be perfect... I promise, Dad...' Peki thought, beginning to cry.

"Dad, can... I leave now? There's something I really need to do, it's aching at me to go find it." Peki said, looking at the boss, who looks very old.

"What? You've been here for forty years, you can't just abandon me, Peki... I know Penelope wouldn't..." The boss said, trying to manipulate Peki.

"Y-You're right!" Peki said, quickly. "But..." Peki mumbled, feeling unsure.

"Good!" The boss said. "Now, be a perfect girl for me, and go do your chores." The boss said, smirking.

"Right, Dad!" Peki said, running out of the boss' office to do her chores. 'He's counting on me to be perfect, I can't let him down!' Peki thought, as she rushed away.

"Stupid girl. She thinks I actually care about her, it's funny... I knew the moment she sat on that chair that I couldn't care for her." The boss said, lighting a blunt. "But I tried anyway, and she's become useful." The boss continued, talking to himself.

"Dad... please let me go outside, I have to search for... something..." Peki said, begging the boss.

"No. You ask every month and the answer is no, I can't just let my perfect girl go out into the world all alone." The boss said, trying to manipulate her.

"You call me perfect... And I do everything you say... But I'm never rewarded." Peki said, looking at the boss.

"You get food and shelter, I'd call that a reward." The boss said, drinking alcohol.

"...I'm leaving, Dad." Peki said, looking serious at the boss.

"Fine, go. You're basically useless to me now anyway." The boss said, showing his true colors without Peki realizing.

"Really, Dad?!" Peki said, getting excited.

"Yes. And don't fucking smile at me! I already told you, I hate that shit!" The boss yelled, at her.

"...Dad...?" Peki mumbled, becoming scared.

"I don't care about you. You're now useless. Leave." The boss said, throwing her away.

'All Humans are the same... They use you... and trick you... and lie!' Peki thought, as she looked at pepper. 'Why can't I think that he's the same?!' Peki continued thinking, becoming angry.

"Peki, I'm sorry that I don't see you as perfect... honestly, out of all the female peppers that I've met... I hate that I have a favorite, but I do..." pepper said, feeling bad. "My favorite is Kumo." pepper continued, hoping the others aren't hurt.

"So, Kumo is perfect to you." Peki said, thinking she understands.

"No, Kumo is not perfect, there are things that I personally don't like about Kumo, the same goes for everyone else. That's why there's no such thing as perfect." pepper said, trying to explain how he feels to Peki. Peki's eyes widened. "And even if there was someone that was exactly as I want them, I would grow bored because I already know everything they'd say to what I talk about... I don't want perfect, Peki." pepper said, reaching out his hand. Peki looked at pepper and started crying. "Being perfect isn't important, just be yourself, don't try to be perfect for someone." pepper said, looking at Peki's tear filled eyes.

"You..." Peki muttered.

"Come on, take my hand, you can join us, Peki." pepper said, smiling at her.

"You lie..." Peki said, as rivers fell down her face. "You're just trying to manipulate me!" Peki shouted, getting ready to punch pepper.

"Does this feel like manipulation?" pepper said, softly, as he bend down and hugged Peki. Peki's face grew scrunched as she let out loud cries, and hugged pepper back.

"I still can't believe you can just, like, heal that fast, Leia." Niku said, as she got meat out of the refrigerator.

"Haha! Yeah, that's just normal for us Gods, I guess." Leia said, leaning on the counter as her and Niku talked.

'I guess Peki decided to join us, seems like her and Utsu get along, that's good, I was worried Utsu would be scared of her.' pepper thought, laying in his bed, reading more in his book about Zeus. 'I haven't gotten to see her smile yet, but if she doesn't want to show it, then that's okay. But I'd love to see it... someday.' pepper thought, putting away his book and walking into the kitchen.
