*This chapter is more on the wordy and exposition-y side. It's not integral to the story, but I wanted to include a talk about Josie's artefacts and schema before we moved on... because starting next chapter, I don't there will be time to talk about it.*

It had been nearly four hours since the assassins' ambush and everyone had once again continued on the trail deeper into the forest. Since then, a couple smaller fights had occurred, one against an entire rockslide's worth of living geodes with teeth and another fight against a single poison coated tiger the size of a small house. All things considered though, both encounters had gone off without a hitch and, while offering a bit of challenge, everything remained largely uneventful.
Now all that was left was to keep on hiking, but that also meant that some questions that had been avoided were now being brought up.
