After Valentina had tossed the crumpled note to the wagon floor in her fit of anger, Bessie picked it up out of curiosity. It took a while to get through, but afterwards, she glanced up to the woman stroking Dahlia's hair and couldn't help but feel at least a little bad. She might be annoyed by the Archduchess' decisions too, but she didn't want to see her in this mood either.
"Sabrina might just be the worst, huh? Don't worry though. Even if you're making mistakes, at least your intent is good. We both know that you're nothing like her."
Despite the consoling, Valentina was still running her fingers through Dahlia's hair absentmindedly and the maid couldn't help but sigh.
"Right, well, whatever. I'm sure you'll figure things out. For now let's just try to work on the things we can, yeah? We can stay by Dahlia's side, but until she wakes up at the very least, we should try to come up with some kind of plan moving forward based on this information."
