The following morning started about as one might suspect. Namely, both Dahlia and Valentina left their tent late and still severely lacking sleep. Though both suffered to some degree, Dahlia was the one to show it most clearly and as they stumbled about and began to drink some morning tea. Bessie couldn't help but laugh as she saw the dark circles under her mistress' eyes.
"So much for wishing you a good night's rest. It almost seems like you were more than happy to forgo sleep altogether. Do you need anything to help with your fatigue My Lady?"
However even as the maid teased, Bessie couldn't help but smile tenderly at Dahlia. The girl seemed half asleep to the point where she wasn't even fully aware of her surroundings. Seeing her seem like a total zombie activated Bessie's maternal instincts and all she could do was provide hot drinks, wrap the girl in a blanket, and make some breakfast.
