As Dahlia and Valentina lay against each other, the night continued to slowly move forward. Though Dahli had learned to overcome the issues with her sight for the most part, the current lighting of either extreme dark or extreme light from the nearby flame made it particularly hard for her eye to adjust. Despite that however, it added a calmness to everything if anything. The flickering tongues of flame were still enchanting and gave off a glow that could only be described as warm and hypnotising. The fire's endless dance seemed to entrance her as she continued to watch.
Valentina though, although first watching the fire along with her love, soon moved her focus elsewhere. As Dahlia continued to watch the flickering light before them, the vampiress had shifted and looked at the girl beside her instead. Those eyes that in the daylight were often closer to a grey-green now had gone dark in the ambient lighting and had turned into mirrors that reflected the firelight.
