Chapter 29 - Don’t Mess with Oliver

Oliver could see the fists swinging towards him as if in slow motion.

The man in the black vest attacked him first, leaving Oliver no choice but to defend himself.

Even though he had tried to restrain himself from the beginning so that there would be no fight.

One nano-second before the fist touched him, Oliver made a quick movement to ward off the fist with his left arm, and at the same time, he sent his right fist to the black vest's temple.

The black vest man's body staggered to the side as he received an unexpected fist from Oliver.

"You... you dare to fight me, dog! I'll punch you to death. You don't know who I am yet, huh!" The black vest man roared angrily as he rubbed his temples, which were turning blue from Oliver's fist.

"I don't care! It makes no difference who you are! What matters is that you've made a mess of my café!" Oliver rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, revealing the well-trained veins of his hands.

Seeing this, the man in the black vest began to panic. At first, he thought that Oliver was an ordinary person who was just claiming to be brave enough to challenge him.

But now that he saw Oliver's arm, panic started to show on his face.

All the café patrons were silent in their places. Waiting to see what would happen next.

Meanwhile, James and Hugo, who were initially happy that Oliver was in trouble, were now getting nervous as they watched Oliver fearlessly slam his fist into the man in the black vest.

Oliver finished rolling up the clothes on his sleeves and walked up to the man in the black vest.

"Wait. Stop. Don't you know that I'm holding this area?" the black vest man said quickly as Oliver continued to walk towards him.

"Hold what, hold this?" Oliver grabbed the black vest man by the collar and beat him mercilessly until the man's body drooped.

The black vest man's face was stunned and swollen like he had been stung by a bee.

At first glance, one would not be able to recognize it as him.

Oliver released his grip on the collar of the black vest man's shirt.

Instantly, the man's body slid to the ground.

All eyes were wide-eyed at Oliver for having the courage to beat a thug.

Oliver looked down at the man who was now lying helplessly on the ground.

"Arghhhhh ...." the man growled in pain.

A moment later, he suddenly rose to his feet and was about to run away.

Unwilling to let his prey get away with it, Oliver extended his leg and once again, the man in the black vest fell to the ground.

Just then, several men, all wearing black vests, entered.

They were the gang of thugs who were the black vest man's friends.

The leader of the gang stopped his steps when he saw his men battered and lying helplessly on the ground.

Beside his men, Oliver stood tall. There was not the slightest hint of fear on Oliver's face, even though a gang of the most feared thugs in the area were now in front of him.

Meanwhile, everyone was staring in horror at the gang of thugs gathered on the front terrace of the café.

Suddenly James emerged from the bartender's table and ran towards the gang of thugs.

James stopped right in front of the head thug and bowed as if bowing to a king.

"Sorry, Mr Blade. This is just a misunderstanding. I can explain everything." James looked both panicked and frightened.

Again and again, James bowed to the head thug named Blade.

Blade's gaze flitted between James, Oliver, and his men, who were lying helplessly on the ground like grazing cattle.

"Who would have dared to do that to my men?" Blade's finger pointed straight at the man in the black vest.

"Sorry, Mr Blade. It's just a misunderstanding. There's a new employee and he doesn't know that... that ...." James was so nervous and scared that he couldn't finish his sentence.

"If what, huh?" Blade stepped forward and grabbed James by the collar of his shirt and pulled until James's body was lifted up, and he had to stand on tiptoe with the toes of his shoes to avoid strangling his neck.

"Mercy, Boss Blade. Mercy. It wasn't me. It was him. That new kid, Boss Blade. That new kid. Not me. ...." James's body shook violently with his hand pointing at Oliver, who didn't seem to care much about the presence of Blade and his troops.

Oliver had been staring at Blade from head to toe.

Oliver smiled slightly as if he found something funny and ridiculous in Blade.

He didn't know what Oliver was thinking, but one thing was clear, he had got what he needed, and he didn't need to be afraid of Blade, who looked like a king kong.

"Are you grinning, huh? You're bored with your life already. You dare to bother Blade!" Blade snapped when he realized Oliver was watching him.

"Sorry, sir." Oliver hurriedly turned his gaze in another direction.

Blade released his grip on James's shirt collar and walked over to Oliver.

"You're already getting bold...." Blade's chest seemed to rise and fall with emotion. "Take it easy young man. I'll be sure to reward you for your audacity. I'll break your legs and leave you paralyzed for life!"

Blade stopped one step in front of Oliver and began to tighten his knuckles.

At this point, Luella in her sexy outfit, came running from inside the café.

"Wait... Boss Blade wait ...." Luella stood between Oliver and Blade with her breath caught.

Blade turned to Luella without making a sound.

"Oliver, hurry up and apologize to Boss Blade," Luella said as she looked straight into Oliver's eyes.

"Apologize? For what? I did nothing wrong. I was just doing my duty to protect the café from troublemakers like this guy." Undeterred, Oliver kicked his foot at the man in the black vest.

"Oliver." Luella held Oliver's arm tightly and whispered. "Hurry up and apologize to Boss Blade. He's the thug who controls this area. Hurry up and apologize before he gets angry and does something to you."

"I don't want to," said Oliver, still firm in his stance.

Seeing how unwavering Oliver was, Luella was forced to apologize to Blade on Oliver's behalf. She turned to face Blade.

"Boss Blade, please forgive my employee. Understandably, he's new. So, he doesn't know anything yet. But I promise to teach him to think before he acts." Luella put on her sweetest smile for Blade.

Blade immediately said that for Luella, he was willing to forgive Oliver. "I would do anything for you, Luella." A mischievous grin appeared on Blade's face.

"Thank you, Boss Blade. Thank you." A look of relief was evident on Luella's face.

"But, on one condition." Blade held up his index finger.

"What condition, Boss?" Luella, who had been relieved, now had a worried look on her face.

"I want this snot-nosed boy to drink Meow Beer. If he really wants my forgiveness," Blade said in a cold voice.

Luella's face immediately turned pale.

"Hahahaha." However, Oliver laughed out loud. He knew that Meow Beer was the highest alcohol-content drink that Luella Cafe provided. "I don't want it. And I don't care," Oliver said again after his laughter died down.

At that, Blade's face stiffened as if he was wearing a mask made of stone. His fingers were tightly clenched, ready to land a lethal fist on his opponent.
