"We are on our way to grandpa's place" he informed me the moment he saw me awake .
" Okay"
We got to our to destination uncle comes out first holding the door for me to step out of the car , a cozy looking home comes up the view .
When we got to the front door we saw grandpa and grandma on all smiles when they saw us at the door.
"Oh my baby" grandma gushed when she saw me , embracing me immediately
"And you " she stood in front of uncle Ray "come here my child" she broke into a smile spreading her hands wide for a hug.
Uncle Ray gave in, hugging her back .
" Hey I'm right here too" grandpa interjected trying to form an offended face.
" Grandpa " i beamed hugging him and giving him a kiss on both his cheeks " I miss you too"
" I never said I did " he formed an oblivious face.
I laughed at his antics, ' Typical grandpa, his actions always defile his words'.
Grandpa went forward parting uncle Ray back " How is business son"
" All good gran " he replied softly.
I always wondered why he called grandpa and grandma Gran, instead of mom and dad .
We got into the house Mr and Mrs winters all in bright smiles since their favorite persons right in front of them, it was very obvious that they very extremely happy.
Grandpa level of happiness was at the brink ' This man ' I chuckled softly.
" why are you laughing?" Uncle Ray asked me beside my ear, I wasn't aware he was behind me . When I heard his voice beside my ear it caught me off guard making me catch my breath.
' oh god's'
"N..nothing " I stuttered when I still felt his hot breath close to my ears.
I hope he doesn't hear the pounding of my heart.
After dinner which went really well , it was filled with laughter with uncle ray stories and many remarks about me.
Presently we are at the sitting room playing monopoly, and it seems grandpa is winning, I was getting bankrupt .
" I give up " grandma says signing loudly .
After a while I gave up too, it was just grandpa and uncle ray, "give up son, I have been playing this before you were even born".
" okay fine I give up" uncle ray says with a smile raising up his hand in surrender.
Grandpa was ahead of him by a bit, he still had a large opportunity to win but he gave grandpa the win freely.
Grandpa was in full joy and his face full of smile, they hardly see uncle Ray because of the nature of his work because most times he's outside the country , seeing him here brought great joy to grandpa and grandma.
"Sunshine " grandma called my attention. "Son?" she called again grasping uncle Ray's attention also
" why don't you guys stay for the weekend, hmm ?, the color festival is tomorrow, I remember you always loved to attend it anytime it comes up when you're around sunshine, and you too son ".
" Yes… Yes " Grandpa nodded his head agreement.
I was okay with it but I didn't make a move to say anything, it was up to uncle ray.
"Gran I have work at hands to do , it's a lot.." he said but grandma cut him off.
"I know son, I heard about the project you have at Singapore, when I'm I going to see you next"
'Singapore?' what project?' I thought
" okay fine, but just tomorrow, I have things to do at the office " uncle Ray finally relented.
Grandma beamed " You guys should freshen up for bed, sunshine you can take your mom's room close to your uncle" she informed.
" Okay ,Goodnight grandma and grandpa " I said kissing their cheeks .
A knock came through the door while I was laying the bed spread I found in the cupboards,I opened the door to see grandma.
" Here I think your uncle ordered his assistant some clothes for you both" she informed me handing me several bags.
"Thank you grandma"
"Yes my child, and I think they are spare toothbrushes and clean towels in the cupboards in your uncle's room, go get them"
"Sure" I nodded my head.
I dropped the bags before knocking on the door of uncle Ray's room .
"Hey Lia what's up" uncle Ray asked holding the door knob.
"Umm, grandma said I could find spare toothbrushes and clean towels in your toilet cabinet ".
He nodded giving me space to enter the room, I heard the door click shot behind me , I caught my breath.
He walked towards the bed picking up his laptop , looks like he was busy before I came in, I also noticed he was in his bathrobe, his black hair wet with water dripping down his neck .
'Get a grip of yourself Amelia,what did I come for? ,yeah right toothbrushes'
I entered the toilet to take what I needed with a clean towel from the cabinet, when I raised my head I see uncle Ray leaning against the door frame, he had changed into loose pants and a Tshirt .
Breaking eye contact from his heated gaze , I passed him basing him goodnight which he replied dutifully.
The next morning I had picked up a floral short flare dress with no sleeves, it was among the dress uncle Ray got last night, we had just finished breakfast with grandpa and grandma .
We walked down the street where everything was colour as one could imagine in a fantasy .
