"Dimitrix,Dimitrix!!"
Eleanor kept calling and running to catch up with him.
"Hey!!!"And she forcefully grab his sleeve and drew him back."Why are you ignoring me,huh?".
"Don't want your fiance to get the wrong idea-".
Eleanor dismiss his statement with a scoff."You must be joking right?Agnes and I are just friends-".
"A man and a Woman can never be friends, Princess."
And he pushed some strings of her hair away from her face.
"B....But you and i. .. are friends?" She asked him, sounding unsure.
"Darling, from the start I never thought of you as a friend--"
"Personal Servant?" She quickly asked him.
Dimitrix looked hurt but quickly covered it up with a sad smile.
"Silly." He commented and walked away.
~~Dining Chamber~~.
Delicious dishes was served as everyone digs in.
"Where is Aurelia?" Dimitrix inquiried breaking the silence.
Aurora picked up her glass of wine and sip from it washing her food down before answering. "You know Aurelia dislike for winter, she must probably be under the weather," She ended her statement with a shrug.
"I will pay her a visit later then," Dimitrix decided."Let's eat, shall we?"
"Yes." They all answered in union and feasted on their foods.
After dinner, Eleanor was told to escort Agnes to his room.
"Just spending few hours here i discovered something, Kaitlyn," Agnes commenced.
Eleanor brows rose up in question, indicating 'what is it'.
"You and Lord Dimitrix looks so close," His sudden statement made her throat go dry."And whenever his name is mentioned and whenever he speaks, you give him your painstaking attention and when he calls you, your eyes glitters.You have gotten yourself attached to this world especially Dimitrix, is that right?"
"I....I....I.--" Having no excuse, her head hangs down in disappointment."Sorry." She mumbled.
Still, he heard her."Am not trying to say it's bad to love but not in this world, it's looks like you don't want to return back to your world and you know you have to go--"
"I do want to go, i found out the real Eleanor is Aurora and the real Aurora's soul was put into another body by the real Eleanor," She quickly detailed him, desperately trying to prove to him she was doing everything to go back to her depressing world and was not busy having feelings for Dimitrix.
Agnes lips pulled up into a scorn."I knew it was her--"
"So, could I get back to my own world??"
He heard her ask but in those feigned happiness he detected a hint of sadness and he realized he was being to hard on the poor girl.
"Go to bed, Kaitlyn....Meet me tomorrow before breakfast." And he walked into his chamber, closing the door at her face.
"I want to go back home.I want my world," She tried convincing herself that's what she indeed wanted."I missed home." She said with uncertainty in her voice.
Knowing it was a lie to herself, she broke into a sudden cry.
Agnes who leaned against his door, listening to her somber sniffling cry, his face scrunched together in confusion.
~~The Next Day~~.
The next day, Eleanor woke up with a red and puffy eye.
She got off from bed with an unenthusiastic slouch.
Last night, she had cried her eyes out till mid night thinking about how she was going to leave Dimitrix and this blossom life she was living and for once she felt happy....something she had never felt.
Dimitrix who was in his study room for the entire night walked into his room to only meet the distressed and red eyed Eleanor.
"What happened?" He was quick to ask as he reached for her and helped her weak body to stand."You're hot! What is wrong??"
"Am fine!" She swat his hand away taking him by surprise.
"Eleanor," He whispered in disbelief.
"If I have a shower it will cool down my temperature." She told him and hurried into the bathroom.
"Take your time you have not completely healed yet!!!" He yelled and the door was shut.
He sighed and roughly ran his hand through his hair."What is going on?" He wondered.
Eleanor who was already dressed walked out from the bathroom to found Dimitrix sleeping.
Without making any sound, she moved to the bed where he had fallen asleep.
He looked so innocent like he couldn't dare to hurt a fly but it was all lies.
Regardless, she still fell for him and would fall over and over if she had to.
"You must be so tired?" She lean in and pushed a few string of his hair that scattered all over his pillow. "Carrying all the people's weight on your shoulder must also be stressful. Am proud of you."
She grimaced.
Eleanor was not that foolish to not understand that today Agnes was going to send her back home.
"It's too sad i'll be leaving with Agnes too. I hope you could tell me those three words I always wanted to hear."
With a sigh, she moved away to only be held by Dimitrix.
"And where do you think you're going, Eleanor??".She heard him ask as he whirl her to his direction. "ANSWER!!!!"
She bit her lip and spoke.
"A....Agnes is taking me back to Esmeralda--"
"Did I ever give you the permission to leave!!!" He growled at her as he spring to his feet."You are my hostage!And moreover you have not healed yet!" His tone lessen as he tries to control his anger. "ANSWER AND STOP STARING!!!"
Eleanor flinched as he tightened his hand around her fragile wrist.
"You're hurting me!!" She screamed back as tears dared to form in her eyes.
"Hurting you?" He let out a malicious laughter that made her shriek in fear."You definitely have no idea what hurt means. Have been so soft on you that you forget I am the mighty Dimitrix--"
"I NEVER ASKED YOU TO BE SOFT ON ME!!" She retorts back."I never asked you to care for me, I never asked you to dote on me, feed me, wash me and dress me, I never asked you to not kill me when you had the darned chance!!.I never did that and most importantly you shouldn't have done all those nice things that ended up making my heart fluttered." She blurted out.
Once those words left her lips, her hands flew to her mouth as her face turned red.
Dimitrix opens his mouth but no words came out.
He was taken by surprised by her sudden confession.
Was this an illusion or a daydream?Did she really feel
something for him?Was she in love with him?His effort didn't go in vain after all.
A mild smile appeared on his perfect lips.
His long lashes fluttered up, his burning eyes bores into her affectionately that made her legs go weak.
Taking a step towards her, he asked."W...What are you trying to say?".
Back in her world, Eleanor had never had a romantic relationship with any man, the least she experienced was having a crush on someone but she was turned down.
After her parent death, she was so into romance and horror comics and books that she forget what life was.
What it meant to have friends, enemies, boyfriends but ending up here and meeting Edward, Dimitrix, Delia, Aurora and Aurelia, she experienced what emotions are something she once forgot.
She felt loved, happiness, hatred, courage and what she could call a friend.
She looked up at the man standing before her with an anxious look for the first time, waiting for her answer.
'Does she deserve something that was never hers to own in the first place?'.
"I don't know!!" She screamed and ran out.
