Chapter 4 - 004 Tribute

"Mr. William?" after a while Wilma Herdian felt embarrassed. This cold CEO, instead of answering her question, gave a smile instead.

"Mr. Ronald too, why don't he come over, huh? We haven't ordered anything for your assistant, you know," she continued.

Instead of answering, William Lee took Wilma Herdian's hand, to stop talking.

Spontaneously, Wilma Herdian withdrew her hand, before William Lee's hand grabbed it. It would be strange, Wilma Herdian, who was a nobody to William Lee to be overtreated.

Starting from the moment they departed from the TTO, pulling her hand. Then took her hand from the lobby to the restaurant. Pull out a chair for her.

Wilma Herdian felt, this was not right. It was a mistake, accompanying him to lunch.

"Sir, I'm sorry. Please don't cross the line. I'm just here to accompany you to lunch."

Unexpectedly William Lee laughed. Even if it doesn't reach his eyes.

"Okay." William Lee pulled his hand back.

"I did rent this place on purpose. To protect our privacy." William Lee explained something that instantly made Wilma Herdian forget to close her mouth.

"Wh-meaning, Sir?"

"Or Wilma prefers crowds?"

Before Wilma Herdian answered William Lee's question, their order had arrived.

The beef steak is served on a hot plate, the aroma of the meat wafts out, matching the wagyu rib eye look that looks delicious.

Steak made from imported wagyu rib eye meat which is grilled. Served with local potatoes, mixed vegetables, mushrooms and brown sauce typical of Resto Beef Steak & Shake 26. Really appetizing.

Wilma Herdian tried to cut the beef steak into dice size. However, the results were not as expected.

William Lee smiled. He exchanged his beef steak–which had been cut perfectly, with Wilma Herdian's.

Wilma Herdian, froze. A blush appeared on her face. What a shame, even cutting beef steak she was not good enough.

"Meat should be cut against the grain."–William Lee paused, looking at Wilma Herdian, making sure he had her attention–"Cutting the meat in the opposite direction of the grain, aiming to make the fibers shorter."

"The shorter the fiber, the easier it is to chew. If the fiber is long, chewing it will be difficult. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Sir." Wilma Herdian then dipped the pieces of meat into the brown sauce.

"How?"

"Good, Sir." Wilma Herdian raised two thumbs up after swallowing the food in her mouth.

She still remembers the teachings of her mother and father, not to speak when her mouth is full of food. Apart from being rude and unsightly. Chances of choking on food.

William Lee smiled, watching Wilma Herdian who was enjoying her beef steak so much.

"Mr. William, aren't you eating?" Wilma Herdian just realized, her beef steak is now in front of William Lee. The cut is not precise.

Maybe it made him lose his appetite? Wilma Herdian's thoughts instantly made her feel uneasy.

"Do you want to change again?"

William Lee laughed. The innocent questions that came out of Wilma Herdian's mouth really cheered him up today. Nothing wrong with him forcing her to accompany him to lunch.

In fact, he even contacted Rudi Setiawan, BM TTO where Wilma Herdian works, to allow his employees to accompany him to lunch. Of course with some conditions.

William Lee had to return his employees on time, not seduce her, let alone play with her. Take good care of it.

Rudi Setiawan knows quite well who William Lee is. His taste in women is quite high. And when he found out William Lee was interested in Wilma Herdian, it was quite a shock for him.

Wilma Herdian, not only looks innocent–considering she is only eighteen years old, but her face is far from beautiful–although not bad either, when compared to the women who have come and gone one after another in William Lee's personal life.

So far, Rudi Setiawan is still just observing, what is the real purpose of a CEO who has a lot of experience with adult women, approaching his new employees.

He would not remain silent of course, if William Lee did not keep his promise.

Wilma Herdian, even though she has only been working for two months, her personality and passion for work is commendable, unless of course, if she has been in contact with that one VVIP customer–William Lee. Therefore, Rudi Setiawan did not want to lose the new, diligent employee.

"I heard you dropped out of college?" William Lee's voice filled Wilma Herdian's ears. The man started to eat his share.

Wilma Herdian immediately stopped feeding the beef steak into her mouth. Instead, she just twirled the piece of meat on her hotplate. Should she be honest?

"You've read my resume, have you, Sir?" Wilma Herdian's accusation was almost right. However, in truth, he asked Rudi Setiawan directly.

"May I know the reason?"

Huh, complained Wilma Herdian. Should someone like William Lee question why? Of course, because she couldn't afford her tuition. At least for now. However, Wilma Herdian did not voice her inner voice.

Wilma Herdian will focus on her two younger siblings first, while saving for her college fees later. The dream is still there, but postponed for a while.

"Not taking a scholarship?" William Lee drew his own conclusions, because Wilma Herdian did not tell him the reason.

Wilma shook her head weakly. "There are conditions that I can't fulfill." Wilma Herdian fell silent again.

"Let's just change the topic, Sir. It's my job, right, to accompany you to lunch." Wilma Herdian gave off her best smile. Even if her heart is sad.

"Good. Tell me about your experience working at TTO. Did you enjoy it?" Wilma Herdian nodded without hesitation.

She really likes her job. Moreover, the seniors and other employees are so compact. Wilma Herdian told all things related to TTO and its prospective passengers with a beaming face.

"When are you off, Wil?" asked William Lee suddenly, in the middle of the story of Wilma Herdian's experience.

"Saturday is off tomorrow, but Sunday must come in," answer Wilma Herdian. William Lee nodded.

The beef steak in front of the two of them was already gone. It was left for both of them to enjoy their respective milkshakes, which also tasted good on the tongue.

It was almost one o'clock in the afternoon. Wilma Herdian's break time limit. She had to return to the TTO immediately.

The trip from the mall to TTO is only about ten minutes. There's still about fifteen minutes to go. William Lee cleared his lunch bill. Then take Wilma Herdian to Jecki's Donut Shop.

Wilma Herdian just stood still, as William chose several types of donuts. He bought four dozen. After that they returned to the lobby, William Lee was seen contacting his assistant.

Exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, Wilma Herdian returned to the TTO. In one piece, safe, and of course, brought tribute to her comrades.

William Lee handed over three dozen donuts to Wilma Herdian. Two dozen for her colleagues, and one dozen for Wilma Herdian and her family back home.

At first Wilma Herdian refused subtly, of course. However, it wasn't William Lee if he couldn't force his will.

"I used to buy them food long before you worked there. So don't worry." William Lee's words before Wilma Herdian finally accepted the donut and got out of William Lee's car, which immediately took him back out of the parking area in front of the TTO building.

Her comrades inside naturally noticed her. Especially if it wasn't for the tribute that Wilma Herdian carried in both hands.
