Beauty In Darkness

Tomi wrapped her sorry excuse of a blanket around her as she tried to fall asleep at the backyard of the convenience store she found after walking miles from where the truck she snuck into stopped. Her mind was racing with millions of thoughts but she willed her mind to shut up and go to sleep. Her theory being that she had to get enough sleep to be able to deal with what tomorrow had to bring. She was scared but her mind was made up and even if she was having second thoughts she couldn't turn back now because she was thousands miles away from home.."if you'll call it that" a tiny voice in her head said and for the hundredth time she willed it to shut up and go to sleep and after hours of back and forth arguments, they both finally went to sleep.
