Sam stared peacefully at her personal guard who was seated on the floor next to her cell.
He had come to give her water which she had happily accepted because had she not, she would have not been able to move when the time came for her trial.
She felt so weak and besides the water had come from him. She watched him peacefully as he kept on rambling on and on about the unfairness of Gael, he was complaining about their poor security in which the guards were so lenient to other guards.
Well if they weren't lenient he would not be here being able to talk to a traitor, would he?
Sam sighed softly but he heard it and quickly stopped talking. " Are you alright Samaira?", he asked, the expression of worry evident in his green eyes as he shifted on the dirty floor.
She chuckled at a sudden thought the moment she saw his eyes while he just stared at her wondering what was up.
" If I being in such a situation makes my annoying guard, Walter Stone, worry so much, then I would gladly jump into such situations", she joked as she laughed out throwing her head back to the wall.
Walter just smiled not bothering about the fact that she just called him annoying. When he had first saw her, she had looked so weak and vulnerable, he had been so angry and at the same time hurt to see her like that, worst was that he could not do a thing to help her.
" Okay I admit I am sometimes a pain in the ass", he said trying to join in her laugh wanting to cheer her up but she began to wave her hand dismissively as if dismissing his words.
" It's not sometimes Walter, it's every time, there is no time in this world where you had ever showed me respect", she stated and he just shook his head, so doing good things for her was not respect in her eyes.
" You... Walter have never accompanied me to where I publish my books, you are a terrible guard who loves roaming off, and your words are never said in the right way, you are so blunt", she continued in a soft voice, her previous weakness had long disappeared and she looked so smart and lively now.
" You are just stating all the characteristics that makes me likable, if I were not blunt my Lady, then tell me who would give you straight advice when you needed them?"
" If I had accompanied you to were you published your book, who would tell a lie on your behalf of where you were? Oh and if I do not roam around, how would I know the happenings of Gael and come share them with you?", he countered back as she glared at him. Well he was right.
" Good point....", she agreed dismissively hating the fact that he somehow proved her wrong. She stared at the look on his face, his lips were holding a smirk and his green eyes were dazzling with mischief.
What kind of Guard was she blessed with? One that rebelled against her even when it was unnecessary, she answered her question herself.
But he was also the sweetest friend out there. He had been her guard since she was fourteen and him seventeen, the fool had been blunt even then while she had been uptight..., carrying herself as a Third Lady.
" Remember when you were first assigned to be my guard Walter?", she asked softly and his face immediately adorned a thinking expression before he suddenly smiled.
" Who would forget?", he asked smiling. " You had demanded that I call you Lady Samaira Roberts always and you had once even told me that I did not have manners", he said with a smile on his face remembering how at that time they had quarreled.
" I was a little foolish back then Walter. Everyone I knew always addressed me with respect, you were the only one who went about calling my first name.., I apologize that I only cared about status back then", she said smiling softly and he laughed out loud but her smile soon disappeared whilst she stared on quietly.
Should she tell him about what Prince Dino had said to her? No! The plan might end up not even working so there was no need to give anyone hope.
" What's wrong?", she heard him ask and she soon refocused her brown eyes on him. She smiled encouragingly and shook her head dismissively.
" It was just a thought that merely crossed my mind but anyways... I need you to do something for me Walter", she stated softly her voice soon turning serious.
He stared at her with hidden curiosity, he had been trying so hard to just look past the fact that she may no longer be alive soon.
He has been acting touch all along just so she would not feel the need to cry because it seemed that has been the only thing she had been doing ever since, the evidence was in her swollen red eyes.
What could she need him for that seemed serious? Was she planning on running away??
" Remember the book I recently had taken to the publisher, I want you to visit the shop and help me stop the process, I want to know if it was still going to be out by September as well", she stated with all seriousness reminding him of her previously written work.
He stared at her surprisingly. So there was no thought of escape, was she really that comfortable with her situation? Looking at how calmly she was behaving... it seemed as though she did not even care if she died, It was as if she wasn't even going to be judged soon.
" What are you saying?", he inquired in a surprised manner causing her to sigh deeply.
" I know...., I just do not want it published anymore, I won't be around much longer so is there really any need?", she asked more to herself causing him to disagree and nod softly.
" I was so focused on wanting to achieve something for myself and to make a difference Walter, i did not realize that not everything go as we plan, I can't make a difference if I am not alive, and sooner or later, the views of the world will change, i definitely am not the one who will change that", she concluded and smiled bitterly.
" You can't be thinking of abandoning your dream Samaira, it's part of you, it's what makes you, You!", he replied swiftly and she just smiled turning away from him. She was the one giving it up but the look on his face said that he was also affected and she did not want to feel weak.
It had taken her a lot of consideration to make that decision and she did not intend on backing down.
Growing up she had always pictured being understood as a writer who wrote about the happenings of the kingdom and how they could be improvement, she was unknown to all and she enjoyed it as long as she was able to get the information across.
But now, the only thing that would be able to help this generation is if they learnt from life itself, she wanted to be a route but she never thought that things would suddenly go south.
Walter just sat there quietly staring at her. Would he actually never see her again? Was this how it was all going to end?

Princess Amelia stared at the peaceful expression on her child's face as she slowly rocked him to sleep. She had just fed him breast milk and afterwards he had fallen asleep quickly.
As she stared at his sleeping face, she could not help but wonder how her actual child was doing. She stared softly at the sleeping Edward, she could do nothing now about her situation... but to accept whatever decision her Mama made.
Dino already knows that the child is not hers so trying to get his attention on the baby was impossible but possibly with the name Edward, everyone would come to adore her son.
She stared at the sleeping baby just basking in his company, the future was still far away and her original thoughts about it had been put to a sudden stop but she would never let her hard-work go for waste.
Her real child might not be with her right now but as long as she was able to draw Phillip and the entire's Kingdom's attention to her... then she need not worry about anything.
The door opened and she watched Phillip come in accompanied by someone she had not expected to be seeing.
" Brother Neon", she called out in shock as she stood up subconsciously whilst an elegant looking man simply offered a sincere smile towards her way.
He closed the space between them in large strides and mildly hugged her once he got to her spot. He had long dark raven hair which was held in a ponytail and icy blue eyes, a huge contrast to the blonde haired Phillip.
She returned the hug and they broke away. " I am deeply sorry about the King", he exclaimed softly and she nodded.
" It already means a lot that you could show up", she replied dutifully staring at Phillip who had already closed the space between them as well during their short exchanging of pleasantries.
" I did not expect you brother", She heard Phillip say and she stared at Neon believing in the same thing too.
Sir Neon Jones who was the older brother of Phillip was rarely ever seen involving himself in such matters, so why did he show up even though his absence would have left no one puzzled?
" I decided to pay my respects to the King. Father shared a good relationship while he was alive with the King and I want to honor that", he replied softly as he moved closer to the sleeping baby who was kept in a cradle this time.
" How is Jonathan?", he asked quietly staring at the sleeping baby who looked so cute and chubby yet nothing like Phillip when he was a child.
" He is doing well", Phillip replied him and walked over to the sleeping child as well.
" Actually we have decided to call him Edward, brother", Amelia spoke up from behind them and Sir Neon turned to her, a surprised look adorning his facial features.
" In honor of the late King, he did love my son", Phillip concluded repeating the same words which Amelia had used in coaxing him while Neon slowly nodded in agreement.
" I shall take your leave then Princess Amelia, I need to see your brother the Prince", he voiced out and bowed elegantly at her while she curtsied in return and he made his way to the door with Phillip behind him.
