Chapter 1 - Prepare for the worse

The kingdom of Zintia, Year 1305s
Under the dark night sky with only moon as it's source of light, while everyone was under deep slumber in the royal capital Farmuth. The royal palace was in utter commotion. All the knights and soldiers were turning the whole place upside down searching every single corner, all looking for a single person.
While everyone was tirelessly running around in the palace, only one man was sitting still in a huge hall in his throne that was literally burning and yet it seemed to be harmless to the man. This man was none other than Xander Vermillion, the ruler of the kingdom of Zintia.
He was a man in his early fifties with a great built and a appearance that made him look not a single day older than a man in his early thirties, packed with muscles at all the right places. He had shoulder length long Jet black hair, fiery blue eyes, short sharp nose and chiseled jaws with finely trimmed beard. One would call him handsome if not for a gruesome scar in the left side of his pale face. The fierce killing aura that he emitted made the people around him cower in fear. Yet this fearsome man seemed anxious, right at that moment a man entered the room with an an expression that matched the king's. This made the king more worried. The man kneeled infront him, save the formalities and give me your report commander Beron the king said. Did you find him? The man shook his head, No your majesty. We have blocked all the path leading outside the palace and searched every single place yet we didn't got him.
That means he is not here in the palace anymore the king sighed. Ser Beron, i want you to search the whole capital and take every single knight with you if necessary and alert the soldiers at the borders and seige all the paths outside the capital. Make sure he is captured otherwise, our kingdom will suffer a great loss.
I still don't understand, how can a single man pass through all the gaurds and steal one of the royal treasures under the protection arrays and go unnoticed said the king. Your majesty, I know it's not our place for us to ask this but what is this treasure that you speak of, it seems to be very precious said one of his subjects. Many others who were present in the room were curious about it too.
The treasure that was stolen... the king paused for a moment and said ...is Akalan's sword. Everyone was dumbstruck hearing this including commander Beron. The king didn't kept this matter from his subjects as the ones who were present in the room were the most loyal man among his subjects in the kingdom and because almost every single kingdom and the empire knew about this legendary weapon which once belonged to Akalan vermillion, the first ruler and founder of Zintia.
I want you to keep this matter to yourself. If the other kingdoms or worse the empire finds out that we lost Akalan's sword. They will not miss this chance and try to seize the sword for themselves. That fool doesn't realise what he stole from us. If the sword falls in the wrong hands then it won't be only our kingdom that will suffer but the whole world would suffer the chaos brought by the sword.
There's a reason why our ancestors sealed that sword away. It's power can't be handled by any ordinary man.
Commander, make haste and capture that thief before he leaves the capital.Take prince Xavier with you. We cannot allow him to leave Zintia. And make sure this matter is taken care of in utmost secrecy.
The commander left after giving a small bow while the king was lost in his deep thoughts about the future of their kingdom.
