A few minutes later, Pres. Mary arrived with the rest of the officers. They quickly went to the booth to put all the decorations they bought together.
"Hello everyone, I didn't know we would have guests. Wait a minute. You're the guy who gave Alyssa those gifts. Who are you again?" Pres. Mary waved to everyone as she put her attention Invenzor while asking.
Invenzor nodded and said, "Yes, that was me. I'm Invenzor Thompson." He shook his hand with Pres. Mary.
"I see. Well, nice to meet you, Invenzor. I'm Mary, the president of the Student Council." She smiled while introducing herself.
After introducing themselves, Angelika joined in to excuse herself and Angel Nicole to the clinic.
"What happened while we were gone? Did you get injured while putting up the tent? " Pres. Mary asked with concern in her eyes.
"I'm fine, Pres. Mary. Luckily, Invenzor caught me in time. If it weren't for him, I might have gotten a lot of bruises from the fall." Angel Nicole explained, as she added while jumping on her left foot, "But, my right foot still hurts from falling out of balance."
"Very well, then, Angelika will stay with you at the clinic until your foot heals," Pres. Mary said.
"Thank you, Pres. Mary." They both thanked her, but before they could go any further, Invenzor asked if they needed any help.
Angel Nicole shook her head and said, "No, it's okay. I think someone needs your assistance more than me." She then pointed at Alyssa, who was struggling to decorate the top of the tent.
Invenzor nodded, and went straight to help Alyssa, who was struggling. Angel Nicole and Angelika then went straight to the clinic.
After they left, Pres. Mary quickly instructed the rest of the officers and the guys to put up the decorations that they'd bought for the booth.
Jerna put the board beside the booth for sticky note confession, the idea of Angel Nicole. While Jasmin and Micah gathered the sticky notes, pens, and jar on the table for Alyssa's idea about the announcement confession,
"The board seems to be in place, so does the sticky notes, pens, and jar. All seems good." As she inspected everything, Pres. Mary said, "By the way, I would like to add snacks and treats for the students. It's free for those who want to confess their feelings." She added as she showed them to the officers, "I'll put these snacks and treats for the event tomorrow. I don't want them to get eaten by you if I leave them here." She teased while looking at them.
"Don't tease us, Pres, we know you also want one," Pinkerbell teased, while laughing.
While the rest were teasing and laughing at each other, Invenzor tapped Alyssa's shoulder to get her attention and whispered, "Can we talk in private?" He asked.
Alyssa nodded, as she slowly got off the chair with the help of Invenzor. But, before they could talk in private, Alyssa went straight to Pres. Mary and asked if they could take a break.
Pres. Mary nodded. The two left after that. As they walked down the hall, Alyssa asked curiously, "So, what do you want to talk about?"
"It's something serious," he said.
"Does it have to do with Angel Nicole?" Alyssa asked with her hands behind her back.
Invenzor nodded, as he heavily sighed and said, "I don't know how to put this, since we hardly know each other and we've talked a few times, but I'm not sure if there's a spark between us."
Alyssa sighed and said, "I know, I saw the way you looked at her earlier" She then sighed, adding "We weren't really meant for each other and I thought you were "the one" for me but I guess boys prefer both beauty and brain and Angel Nicole has those traits," she explained.
"I thought things would work out for the both of us, but I guess it's not working at all," he added.
"I also thought about it" She sighed, adding "But, hey, faith has its reason. I'm still glad to meet you though" She said with a faked smile "Oh, I'll give back your gift that you gave," She was about to take off the gift that he gave.
When Invenzor stopped her and said, "No, keep it. That's your present from me since your birthday is tomorrow, right?" He asked.
Alyssa nodded, and said "Yeah, happy birthday to me. I guess..." She faked a smile while looking at him.
"Even though our relationship didn't work out, at least we get to be friends, right?" He added, while asking.
Alyssa nodded and said, "Yeah, sure," with arms crossed as she added, while stuttering, "Well, we should head back. I mean, I should head back. You'll probably wanna visit Angel Nicole at the clinic." She then said goodbye to him while walking away from him.
Invenzor called out to her to ask if she was okay. She then gave him an okay sign, but everything was not okay when her tears started falling. She burst into tears while walking down the hall. She was too sad to even take any further steps. So, she stopped by the field to shout and cry her heart out.
"I thought everything was going great. Why does faith have to repeat itself?" She asked herself while punching her chest.
"Did Invenzor made you cry?" One of Invenzor friends ask as he sat besides her.
Alyssa nodded while hiding her face, he then gave her his handkerchief and said, "I might not know the whole situation but if you need someone to listen, I'm here" He smiled.
Alyssa slightly laughed while wiping off her tears and said, "Thanks but no thanks. I think had enough with boys entering my life"
He said, "I mean, boys can be jerks sometimes but not all boys are the same"
Alyssa tsk as she rolled her eyes and said, "Say all you want but I'm done, my heart is sealed once again and I'm never going to open it" As she stood up and gave back his handkerchief.
"So, your not going to open it even for me?" He asked while raising his eyebrow.
Alyssa shook her head and said, "Of course not, you might be friends with Invenzor but you ain't fooling anyone" As she was about to leave the spot.
Andrew held her wrist and asked "But, why not?" Adding, "Yes, I might be friends with him but it doesn't mean we're the same"
"Your seriously asking why?" She turned and asked while raising her eyebrows.
Andrew nodded and said, "Of course, I wanna know why you despise guys coming in and out of your life"
"The reason why, I despise them because instead of committing one for the both you, they would rather commit it to someone else" Alyssa complained as she fell into her knees and cried once again.
Andrew agreed as he sighed heavily while patting her back and said, "Maybe, the reason why not all guys stay because there will be a better guy that will enter your life"
"Yeah, right" She sarcastically said, as she stood up and added, "I had enough waiting for that ideal, better, high standards guy. I mean, where is he" she shrugged while looking around.
"Wait a little longer, he might not come sooner or later but someday" Andrew said as he also stood up and goes closer to her.
"Well, that sooner or later or that someday has ended. I won't be waiting for that guy to enter my life because they've already wasted my time" She said as she walked away from him.
After she left him, he just stood there and didn't even chased her. Andrew sighed as he kicked some stones before going back to the booth.
After he got back to the booth everyone was gone except for Micah and Alyssa.
He then asked "Where is everyone?".
"They went to visit Angel Nicole at the clinic" Micah answered as she was busy putting up the sign.
"Here let me help you with that, you seem to be struggling" Andrew said as she assisted Micah.
"Thanks that's very kind of you" Micah said.
"It's my pleasure" Andrew said.
As the two were busy putting up the sign, Alyssa was busy listening to music in her airpods as she cut out letters and pictures for the booth.
After she was done cutting everything, she gave it to Micah and Andrew to hang around the tent.
At that was the last of everything for their booth, after they've finished decorating their booth. Students, teachers, and visitors gathered around their booth and gave them compliments.
One of the students and visitors even insisted to give their phone number and social media name to Andrew since he was the one who keeps engaging them to see their booth.
The event hasn't even started yet, this was just a preview opening and yet everyone was already coming in and out of their booth.
"I would like to say, this was a successful preview opening. High five guys" Alyssa smiled in joy while high fiving them.
