"This is the room where she has been living since her appearance " Joy pointed at the hotel room.
"Okay you both can leave, I will go see myself " Liana opened the door and walked in.
Joy and Lucian stared at each other before leaving.
Liana walked into the room to see another her inside the room. She was typing something on her laptop, her fingers stopped moving when she noticed someone inside the room.
Liana stared back at her face, it was like looking at herself in the mirror. The other she got up walking to where Liana had frozen.
"You finally back?" she said.
Liana woke up from her trance, "Who are you?"
"Before I say my name I would like to apologize that I used your face while you were gone," she said.
Liana frowned, "Okay, so who are you?" she asked again.
"A demon," she said back.
Liana felt her inside hurt, "A demon? how did you get here and why are you using my face to lie to everyone?"
"When you used your powers in your weak state to go to the underworld, you gave us a chance to escape " fake Liana scoffed, "but since we don't have human physical bodies we just replicate others "
"So you decided to use mine?"
"Yeah, it was my only option. I arrived at your apartment so the only identity I could take was yours and for that am sorry " she said.
"Why did you escape?"
"Curiosity of wanting to know what was on this side, but after being here for days I miss the underworld " she sighed.
"I miss it too " Liana found herself whispering.
"I tried my best to be you but your brother and assistant seemed to have found out so I didn't bother explaining and kept doing my thing," she said.
"It's okay, I was worried about all the work I would return to but this is okay too " Liana chuckled.
"I thought you were going to send me back or condemn me for my actions?" fake Liana said.
A smirk appeared on Liana, "I would but I feel like I don't have the energy anymore of arguing or fighting so don't worry it's okay " she said.
They sat down together and continued to chat, other her filling her up about what she had done without her being there and how far her work was going.
"I guess I don't even have to work, you have been handling things so well it's like I did it myself " she laughed.
"I tried my best after all I was trying to be you "
"So do you plan to return to the underworld?" Liana asked.
"I would love to go but I don't think you can send me back, the crack you made last time has closed so only the king or reapers can take me back now," she said.
"How many of you escaped?" Liana asked.
"Around six, but I can only sense three. It seems the rest vanished from failing to get a host or someone to replace " she explained.
"It seems the underworld didn't notice, I was there the whole time and didn't hear a thing about you escaping," Liana said.
"They knew maybe just kept you in the dark. The grim reapers have been after us but since I hid here they can't suspect your face "
Liana scoffed, "I guess your right, but I thought you missed it so why don't you want to go back?"
"Because the moment I do I will cease to exist cause the king of the underworld doesn't forgive," she said
"So you decided to hide and pretend to be me?"
The fake nodded, "But now that you are back, they will find me soon " she said.
"Do you have any plans to escape them apart from being me?" Liana asked.
"No? an.ld...they found me " the fake Liana paused and turned to Liana's back.
Liana felt her body freeze as a gush of goosebumps filled her body, the room was getting colder every second.
Something passed by her and a swift of cold air touched her cheeks, still stuck in a place she saw a dark formless finger, floating to where the far her was. like her, they both couldn't move.
Its pale slender long hand slid out of its dark cloak, nails so long and dark they looked like branches, they touched the fake her who shouted in pain as her form changed.
Her face turned into something else, Liana trembled in her frozen state.
Her body had turned to resist with two horns on her head. Her eyes now looked more like an animal than a human with sharp fangs like Xavier's.
She smiled at her and without warning explode into thin air, Liana felt her eyes sting not knowing why she was feeling sad for someone she had just met.
The dark strange creature moved back to her, she shrunk her eyes into slits to see under its cloak, but even with it close to her, she could not see anything but darkness under its hood. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again everything was back to normal with her in her seat but the fake her and the creature were gone.
