"I know you said you would try but everything has failed, we need to give up now," Gerald said.
"But I don't want to, Xavier lost his way home today," Liana said.
Joy and Lucian in the back laughed, while Gerald tried his best to keep a straight face. Xavier just sat back in silence.
" And it's not even funny cause who knows what will happen if he doesn't come home "
"Liana, don't worry. It didn't disappear like the others. It seems I can retain them if I fight it " he said.
"But it takes a lot of strength to do that and you being weak in this state is even worse "
Gerald watched them and sighed.
"The only memories he has now are from two lifetimes, this and the one that started all this mess. When this lifetime gets erased, he will only have one and since it was the core of everything it will take a lot of time to go. When to find a way before then "
"Then what should....." Xavier dropped to the floor crying in pain. His hand holding his head with his eyes tightly shut.
"Xavier, what's wrong?" Liana knelt next to him as her arms held his shaky body.
Gerald moved closed, "Well that was first, it's happening right now "
"What?, tell me what I should do his in pain " Liana panicked seeing Xavier in that state.
Gerald knelt holding her, "Liana we have been at it for weeks trying to find a way and we failed, I think right now you should do as his father said. Tell him your last words before the Xavier you know disappears," he said.
Liana pushed him away feeling her anger rise., "Get out, get out all of you " she barked.
They all stood up but didn't leave. Xavier crawled into a ball still groaning with his head in his arms.
Liana embraced him, crying. She looked up with tears in her eyes, "Didn't you all hear me, get out right now. I want to be alone with him "
Gerald motioned the others to the door and they left.
"Hi, don't worry everything will be alright " she whispered in his ear. Still holding him.
Later after he claimed down, Liana was sitting down with his head on her lap as her fingers gently stroked his hair. He had suddenly stopped moving after a while as the pain had gone away. But his energy was wasted from fighting against it that he collapsed.
"Am wondering why our parents are so mean to us" she said looking down at his closed eyes. He looked peaceful it made her smile.
"I really have nothing to say to you Xavier. Am trying to find the right words but all I think about is how I have your father for doing this to you to me, to us " she cried. "Am sorry for being weak that I can't fight him cause if I was then maybe we would have a chance. But now am going to have to sit by and watch him take you".
She bent down kissing his cheek, " Just make sure you find the courage to fight your father so that you can have a say in your own life. You won't remember me but I hope my love will give you the strength to pass through all the challenges he has prepared for you " pulling away she whispered, "Loving you was the best thing I have ever done in my life ".

Xavier woke up, his head still hurt but he could fight the pain even better now. He looked around to see Liana asleep next to him. They were lying down on the cold floor, he got up and slowly carried her up to bed.
" Am sorry Liana, I tried to fight it but I can feel it all fade like it was never there. My emotions and feeling for you are ceasing to exist and it's breaking me that nothing can be done" he said pushing away the strands of her long red hair from her face.
"I have liked you and this red-stained hair from the day I appeared in front of you. I didn't know that feeling would grow this big but am glad it. I may not remember anything later but I know I have loved you wholeheartedly"
He kissed her hand, "Liana I know it will be selfish and painful for you but I want someone to remember me with love after being gone and I want it to be you.
I love you Liana Arkness " he said.
