"How dare you " Xavier's voice rang through the room. He pulled William off Liana throwing him across the room. Shocked to see him William stumbled as he got up he had hit his back.
"And who are you?" he frowned spatting blood from his mouth
Xavier smirked, "The owner of this house, and who are you" he seemed to be controlling his anger from his clenched fists.
William laughed and bent down to pick up his dagger that had dropped, "well then you will have to go first before the bitch " he scurried to where Xavier was ready to stab him.
Liana who was coughing and trying to breathe at the same time weakly got up. Her eyes blurry with tears she looked up to see William off his feet with Xavier holding him by the neck.
She blinked and looked again trying to get off the bed
"Is that you Xavier?" she coughed.
She could hear a hissing sound coming from him.
"Xavier " another voice called. It was Gerald who had just arrived. "Don't let me take care of him", pointing at Liana he added, "I think she needs you more "
Xavier dropped the intruder and turned to where Liana had dropped.
Large warm arms held her up, she looked up when that familiar scent surrounded her.
"Xavier " she breathed looking at him closely.
"Are you okay?" he asked with worry in his voice.
She nodded, "But what's wrong with your face " Liana's hand moved closer to his face but he pulled away.
Liana coughed grabbing his hand, "Please don't leave right now " she cried. Her body was still trembling and her neck was starting to swell.
His arms tighten around her and gently carried her out of the room.
"Thank you " she muttered closing her eyes.

Liana woke up hearing voices outside the door. She slowly got up looking around Xavier wasn't around.
"Xavier this is serious, you need to stay away from her " she heard Gerald's voice.
"I can't you just saw what happens when I do " Xavier replied.
"What do you mean, this is all her brother's fault you should let her handle it so that nothing bad happens to her again "
"But.." Xavier resorted
"But what Xavier? she can summon you and on top of that everything about her seems to affect you in some way "
They had something fall inside the room and Xavier rushed in.
"Liana are you awake," he said entering the room. He saw her down trying to get up
"Wanted to get out of bed but my feet seem to disagree" she looked up at him.
He walked to where she was and carried her back to bed.
"What do you need?" he asked.
"Some water " she smiled. He nodded and walked out
She looked around in silence till he returned.
After taking her water she laid back down.
He sat next to her, "What happened to William?" she asked.
"Your brother and the police took care of him " he replied.
"Oh, you called Lucian "
"I had to call the police after I caught William and your brother was calling at the time. So I picked it up and told him what happened " he said.
"So they finally caught him " she sighed.
"Yeah you can go back to your normal life," he said.
"I guess I have to thank you again for saving my life and catching that crazy psycho " she chuckled.
"You're welcome...again," he said and they both laughed.
"Your brother will pick you up tomorrow evening so you can rest for now," Xavier said tucking her in.
She nodded and laid back down. He walked out and closed the door.
Liana was awake thinking about what she heard Gerald tell Xavier, something about her summoning him and her brother being involved in her attempts.
"I hope I heard it wrong, why would he be involved when he tried to save me and even hide me " she muttered.
She turned to her side, "It was short but I strangely enjoyed every moment we had together " she whispered before drowning to sleep.
Lucian picked her up in the evening, he was brimming with happiness when he saw her. Xavier seemed not to be happy about him, Liana noticed.
He held her into the car and she hugged him.
"Thank you so much for taking care of me," she said to him.
He gave her a slight smile and walked back into his home.
Liana and Lucian drove off and back to her apartment.
"Am finally back home" she smiled but then frowned when she noticed the balcony.
"Don't think about it, okay " Lucian spoke up.
She nodded and walked to her room laying down.
"Let me rest for a while, tomorrow I will report to work.
" Okay, call me when you need something," her brother said and walked off.
She closed her eyes and inhaled, "smells nothing like his scent, it's only been a few days why do I miss him already " she grumbled into my pillow.
"You miss me?" a voice startled her. Liana jumped off her bed looking where the voice came from.
"Xavier what are you doing here?" she breathed.
He was leaning against her window with his arms folded on his chest. His golden eyes stared at her.
"I know you heard what Gerald was saying yesterday but didn't say anything, why is that?" he asked.
Liana bit her lower lip and avoided his gaze, "it's because I wasn't sure about what I heard "
"Wasn't sure or just didn't want to believe it?" he asked.
"His brother he can't do anything to me," she said.
"Okay, and the other thing you heard " he seemed to be preying on something but Liana moved away.
"Xavier am grateful for helping me and saving my life but I think that since everything had ended you should go back to living your life," she said.
