Two blurry figures dashed onto the roof of a towering skyscraper that seemed like it would pierce the sky. They leaped from roof to roof in a hazy light.
Up closer, one of them had on a milky panther's mask while the others wore a lusterless cloaked attire.
The cloaked figure glanced back and shot a pulsing lightning bolt from his fingers at the panther-masked man—Beaumont.
As though sensing the attack, Beaumont pointed his hands forward like it was a gun, and a pitch-black lightning left his fingers dashing towards the lightning bolt.
Upon collision, both superpowers disintegrated in a blink.
"This is why I hate facing this bastard. It feels like his power was just made for me. Dang, it!" Beaumont said as he tightened his leg muscles and dashed at the priest again.
Beaumont had gotten information about priests being in Paris and having fun in a hotel close to the Eiffel Tower. After receiving this information, he left North Korea and came to Paris.
However, for the past 3 hours, he had been chasing Priest nonstop.
'I wonder how long he could go. With this pace, even he shouldn't be tired, right? I mean, he should be older than me.'
Priest normally walks with a walking cane and cloaked attire, so it made sense for Beaumont to take him as someone older than him.
Sometime later, priest arrived at a dead end. He glances back at Beaumont, who is now near him.
"Well, well, who do we have here? Finally tired of running?" Beaumont uttered, but priest could make out his mocking tone.
"Little boy, do you think you can fight me?" Priest deep voice reverberated, his voice sounding rugged.
"I can do that, I think, because if you can face me in a fight, you won't be running from me," Beaumont smirked. "The simple reason is that you're simply scared."
"Hahaha!" Priest laughed as he heard what Beaumont said. "You think I'm scared? It seems like that old man running your organization didn't inform you well."
Priest started taking small strides towards Beaumont.
"He didn't tell you why he can't come for me directly?" Priest casually tilted his head to the sides.
"What do you mean?"
Beaumont was prepared. He didn't know if this was another tactic the priest was planning to use, so he activated his ability.
"You know? Your boss is a coward for sending you here. He simply sent you to die!!" It was all blur Beaumont saw as Priest dashed at him.
He didn't have time to react as priest closed the distance between them and sent a fist covered in lightning.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
The fist sent Beaumont spiraling through the air before crashing to the concrete roof floors. Rolling backward a bit, close to the edge of the building, Beaumont came to a halt.
He stood up and cracked his neck lightly.
' Now I know why he is the no 1 villain. An ordinary superhuman can't make me fly like this. This only means one thing...
…He is at the same level as the boss.'
"Come on, boye, it's been a long time since I had a training dummy. Do you mind being one?"
Veins started popping out on Beaumont's face. "You're referring me to a fucking training dummy?"
"Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. I mean, you're the one with the panther mask, looking like a circus freak!'
Okay, that's it. Beaumont bolted towards Priest with black lights whirling all over his body, looking like a black bolt of energy as the sparks of lightning flashed.
'Just as I thought, these supes can't control themselves. They're simply mad dogs in clothes.'
"Well, time to start the fun anyway!" Prest also made a move as he bolted towards Beaumont. But the difference was that the priest had no lighting covering his body. He was taking the massive lighting bolt head-on.
BOOOOOOOM
Beaumont collided with Priest, but the latter simply did a wild spin kick in the air, causing Beaumont to skid through the ground and bounce through the floor!
Remember, Beaumont, this isn't that weak villain wannabe, Nightmare. This is Priest.'
The sheer strength just now was understandable. Beaumont knew because this man was someone, who had had superpowers before him.
He had heard countless ruthless tales of priests' monstrous strengths, but he had never witnessed it.
Well, he just did now.
"You're strong. Rumors don't lie!"
"Stop talking and come here, boy! Grandpa wants to play a bit!"
Priest's voice sounded casual, as though he wasn't even in a fight, just to show how significant Beaumont was.
"I don't have a killer for a grandfather, ashole!"
Beaumont made several black lightning bolts in the air and shot them all straight to Priest, who just yawned as he raised his hands. At the same time, sparks of blue lightning blast all the black lightning.
"Is that all you got? I can't believe those ashole sent me a kid. I mean, you aren't even worth my time. Oh, did you think it'd be easy to kill me just like the way you did with Nightmare?"
Several question marks appeared on Beaumont's face as the slits on his pater mask narrowed, shimmering a cloudy color, and he levitated into the Air as the black lightning started swirling around him wildly.
"Now we're talking. I would have been disappointed if you couldn't even face me. Your grandpa must have some balls?"
Why did he say, grandpa??
"Shut up, you old goat; don't you ever talk about my grandfather!!" With a loud, piercing roar, all the streaks of lightning started bolting towards Priest.
'Ignorance.'
Priest exclaimed as he blasted into the sky. He opened his hands wide as though he was about to hug, and the next moment, a series of sparks started to appear in the sky. Paris lost its sunny day as darkness spread its wings.
A constant blast of lightning reverberated as though a heavy downpour was about to plummet.
"Okay, kh—I mean Beaumont, come to me! Let me show you what real lightning feels like."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Meanwhile in another place—
A burly man with a big stomach, probably from overconsumption of alcohol, stared through the window of his majestic room. The room had gold pillars on all four corners, and in the middle was an enormous king-size bed with a woman lying naked on it.
"These humans. Why are they so troublesome? I gave them just a bit of my power, and they want to kill each other already. Tsk…Tsk!" Zeus shook his head lightly. 'Well, in a way, it's those fucking Asgardian gods. "
