When Hazel left to search for relles, Xavier waited for her to arrive, he had already told Collins to in their breakfast, he took his bath and changed into his casual outfit and waited.
Collins later brought in the food but Hazel still hasn't returned, he decided to check through the windows, he actually saw her speaking with relles and after some time, walked back into the mansion. He settled on the bed and waited again for her to come but after some couple of minutes,she still didn't shoe up.
'Has she fainted again or has relles done something bad to her,he tightened his fist at the thought of relles hurting her. 'Guess I have to follow you everywhere you go rabbit' he thought as he headed towards the door to search for her. He came down the stairs searching every corner, he searched the whole rooms but she wasn't there
'Yeah, the servants quarters, that's where she will be, he thought as he headed towards that direction but he caught sight of Lady Dorin talking to a person but she blocked the person's view.
"No milady, he's not a stray rabbit, he's mine" he realised it was Hazel
'Wow seems like you got the rabbit into real trouble' he thought as he listened to their conversation waiting for the right moment to show up
"No I want the rabbit's blood"
"I'm sorry milady...but I can't let you take from it"
"Says who"
"Says me" he finally spoke "you can't have from the rabbit Lady Dorin, I'll send a maid to get you blood if you're thirsty"
"Why send a maid while one stands here" Dorin said
"Hazel here is mine, the rest are for guests and family members" he turned to Hazel "come before you get yourself into another trouble" and to his surprise, she didn't argue but quickly took his hands, he led her back to the room.
"What made you carry the rabbit to her" he asked
"I never did, I just bumped into her and she complained...."
"About..?"
"...about me staying here.. But it isn't right"
"What isn't right"
"Your getting married to her and you still bring ladies to your room"
"Married?"
"Yes, she said so" Xavier gave out a laugh before he said
"We were never planning on getting married rabbit, she's just after the seat besides me"
"Then who is she to you"
"A distant cousin"
"Ok"
"And about the women, I'll kind of stop it"
"Why"
"I wouldn't have my future wife think that I still bedded women even after I've found her"
"You've found your wife"
"Yep" he said popping the 'p'
"That's nice"
"Why do you say so"
"At least, I'll soon leave here"
"You just packed in and your already anticipating moving out"
"Yes"
"You aren't moving, your staying here from now on"
"And where will your wife stay"
"Here too" he said nonchalantly
"That's ridiculous, a maid and the queen can't share the same room with the Lord"
"Hmmn"
Hazel,thinking that the conversation will go no where decided to change the topic
"So the food is here"
"Yeah, go on and eat"
"And you"
"I've eaten mine since you were entertaining Lady Dorin down there"
Hazel digged in and she could swear it was a hundred times better than what the servants were provided with. She was really hungry and she ate hungrily. Xavier stared at her as she ate somehow finding it funny. When Hazel felt his gaze, she stopped eating and asked
"Your staring at me, its kind of creepy"
"Somehow, I do find it amusing that you don't feel scared of me" he murmured under his breath
"I didn't hear you"she said
"Well, even a blind man can see that you just finished eating"
Hazel quickly understood and reached for the napkin but Xavier reached it before her and helped her. Hazel watched him intensely as he wiped her lips.
"Milord, if I may ask, what's all this"
"All what?"
"All this being to kind"
"As I said before, your mine to take care of"
"From the looks of it, you don't show affection to your family"
"That's why you should feel privileged, rabbit"
After sometime, some maids came to clear the plates,Hazel put relles back in his cage and closed it. Xavier had after day as no meetings were expected to be held
"I would be going to the forest for a stroll so stay put and don't leave the room" Xavier said
"I could come with you" she said as she was scared of Lady Dorin coming to kill her, if only eyes could kill then she was sure the gaze Dorin shot her back there could get her killed
"Sure" he stretched his hands and she reached for it and then they found themselves at the forest where she had met him
"You're here to see the wolves right?"
"Yep and they've been wanting to see you too"
"See me?...I mean yes see me"
"..."
"I meant see me as in they should see I'm here now" she quickly said as she was hoping not to catch a fever anytime soon
"Come closer,so you could pat them"
"No, I'm okay seeing them from a distance"
"Don't worry, they won't bite unless they like you" he said causing a frown on Hazel's head
'Is there anything he say that makes sense' she thought
"Come on"
"I'm really okay here"
"Now!!"
She came immediately and they moment she stretched her hand, they growled at her
"That's right"
"What's right about how they growled"
"They've picked up your scent"
"..."
"We should walk back to town, shouldn't we?" He said
"I thought town was far from here"
"Yes it is"
"Then we can't do that"
"We'll stop when your tired"
"Why don't you just teleport back"
"I'm running out of blood rabbit and the more I use my abilities, the more thirstier I become and unless you want to become a dead corpse,we could teleport back"
"No we should walk"
