In the lands of Bougreve, believed to be the only lands where human exist in the midst of the three others:Rivelle, Borreve and Poetwyth believed to be where the night creatures resides, the witches lives in either of the four lands, they either stay with the humans putting on their human form and the improvised witches stay in the night creatures land, they do hide their true identity cause they will be burnt if found and this had made them want to unbind the dark magic so they could rule the four lands but unbinding it was a huge task cause series of massacre were needed.
The four lands were ruled by Lords, each with its lord, Bougreve was ruled by Lord Jeffrey, Rivelle was ruled by Lord Xyle, Borreve was ruled by Lord Xavier and Poetwyth by Lord Zirreve. Lord Jeffrey was a human, Lord Xyle and Zirreve were vampires while Xavier who was said to be a vampire was rumored to be a demon and the three Lord's feared him. He could rip out heads and set people ablaze just by looks, maybe he was from the first generation of vampires or truly the demob he was rumored about.
Back in Bougreve was a girl going by the name Hazel who lived with her mum, her dad was among the abducted with the last riot that happened with Poetwyth. The vampires do come to abduct humans using them for their personal desires and her dad was unfortunately been carried. Since she was little, she had always faced situation like this as they would run towards the forest to seek protection and would only cone back when the riot had ended. The vampires do not take elite humans but they were all still under their mercies.
"Take Hazel with you and run to the forest" Lionel said
"But where would you go" Vivian said
"I'll go check if I can carry anything out"
"But you could get abducted"
"I won't"
"How sure are you"
"l promise I'll be back" he turned to look at Hazel "daddy will be back"
"I know" she said and hugged him
"I'll be back, wait for me" he said once again and kissed Vivian before he left
After the fight was over, the humans returned back to the village, Vivian and Hazel waited but Lionel never returned, so they concluded that he was abducted. All they could hope for was that, a riot won't burst out soon. They had tried taking the issue to their Lord, Lord Jeffrey but the answer was always the same
"We are mere humans and they are vampires, we are solemnly at their mercies.
Hazel and Vivian since then had tried to survive cause their properties were burnt by the last riot. Vivian had some money with her so she started selling wools at the center market
" Hazel "Vivian called after they had their dinner
" Yes mum"
"You should try finding yourself a suitor, you know"
"...."
"Your eighteen already, girls your age are married already"
"I haven't found a suitor"
"Seriously, with all those men that do cone around"
"I don't like any of them"
"Then I'm sure you'll love being Mr Helios wife"
"Mr Helios, Lord Jeffery's deputy?"
"Yep...you've met him before?"
"Yes...in the meadows"
"And you never told me"
"There's nothing to say mum, and besides he has a wife already"
"You could be his mistress"
"MUM!!! how can you say such, I will only marry someone I love and not to change my status"
"Hazel don't toy want to stop running to the forest each time a riot happens, and by being his mistress, you become an elite"
"I won't be his mistress, I'll marry for love just as you did with dad"
"I'll give you time to think about it..... go pack the clothes outside, the wind is heavy"
Hazel left to get the clothes, she caught sight of a white small creature coming close to her, it didn't look scared and she picked it up, it was a rabbit, she hurried back inside.
"Looks like we'll be eating meat today"Vivian teased knowing fully well Hazel loves animals
"I'm keeping it"
Weeks passed and Vivian was able to starts selling sweaters, it was much better than selling oy wools and the weather was good for the business. Hazel on the other hand was able to attend dance classes with the little money she had, she had bought a cage for relles, the rabbit. She named him relles. Suitors kept coming but she refused them. Weeks turned to months and then years such that two years had passed
