On Sion's arm was a tattoo. It was the roman numeral number 4, which means the fourth strongest member of the ranked 1 faction. However, that does not mean others above his number were weaker than him. Some let the ogre sit on his current rank whilst enjoying their days of freedom inside Haven City.
Despite his build, the ogre can easily move around effortlessly, matching Invictus' pace without knowing that the latter can still increase his speed.
Every time the ogre's metal ball struck the ground, it left holes in it, which can become a hindrance to their movements. They can lose their footing in it once the holes are left unnoticed.
'His reach has no limits. Jumping will only put me at a disadvantage because avoiding his weapon is somehow impossible.'
Fighting with one short sword was not enough to bring Sion down. From the looks of it, the ogre's body was a bit shiny, slightly gleaming at the sun's rays of light.
He hinted at another crushing attack with the intention of grabbing Invictus with his free hand.
But his effort turned out to be a waste of energy with Invictus predicting his movements. A wide swing from the short sword created a spark after connecting to Sion's skin.
'How sturdy!'
Invictus' short sword was deflected after contact, creating only a clang sound when it hit the ogre's skin.
"It will take more than that to put a scratch on me, masked man!"
Being called a masked man was what irked Invictus the most. He does not wish to put on a mask but he needed to cover and hide his identity.
"Not gonna happen."
Jumping was inevitable, for the ogre had always been forcing Invictus to leap so that he would become an easy target.
"Oh, no... He's done for."
While mid-air where your actions are limited due to lack of land to move around, Invictus was falling prey with nowhere to go and no means of defense against the destructive power of the ogre's metal ball.
At average speed, the metal ball flew towards the air where Invictus was descending after leaping to avoid the ogre's forced attack.
'That ogre is so keen on taking me down with just a single strike. Then, I guess it will not hurt to shatter his prediction, yeah?'
On the other side of the plaza, in front of the church, Jorp heard of the fight going on between Invictus and Sion, the ogre.
"Hey! The rumored masked man and the ogre are going on bout right now! Let's check it out!"
It was a shame for the guards since they were not allowed to leave their posts unless urgent or connected to their job.
"Aww, man! You know I can't!"
"Then, you're gonna miss out on a good fight!"
'Is this your way of convincing them?!'
Jorp followed the man running ahead of him to the back of the church where the battle was supposedly transpiring.
Crowds formed a bit farther from the fight, avoiding moving near, for the possibility of getting caught up in the arduous fight is high.
"Whoa!"
The crowd erupted in awe after the magnificent move they witnessed between Invictus and the ogre.
Thick crowds formed in front of Jorp. He could barely see what was going on between Invictus and the ogre with all of the people blocking his line of sight.
'These people! They stink!'
"Wow! How did he avoid such an impossible attack?!"
Everyone was shockingly amazed by Invictus. Despite the position, he was in he still managed to spectacularly evade the crushing metal ball coming his way.
"Did he just repeatedly spin mid-air to avoid getting hit?!"
The ogre's comrades really thought that it would be the end of Invictus. But they were wrong. Invictus proved to them that he was "always undefeated," and that he is Semper Invictus with just that alone.
Shortly after landing on both feet, Invictus then kicked off the ground before Sion could pull his metal ball back to him.
"I can see what you're trying to do!"
Sion's smile could almost reach his ears at the bravery Invictus was showing him despite having the reputation of the strongest grip in Haven City.
"Oh, really?"
Diagonally, Invictus leaped continuously to make his attack hard to predict. He topped it off, furtherly increasing his speed to the point of no return. The audience, onlookers, stood silent and stayed afloat, watching a magnificent fight unfold in their eyes.
"You're not thinking of stabbing me with that puny short sword of yours, yeah?!"
"It was foolish to just run straight to Sion. He's more trained in close combat than in range."
Even Perseus who bet Invictus will win against Sion began to lose hope after one crucial mistake Invictus did. That is to run towards the ogre who specializes mostly in close combat.
It's easy to say that Sion can professionally use the metal ball as he will but one important reason he uses it is because it makes his enemies think he is weak in close combat and can only fight with his weapon.
"Come get me, masked man!"
The two of them were standing toe to toe with each other! Invictus was only a few inches away from Sion's humongous grip after the ogre pulled his weapon back and was on its way in his direction.
It was flying back at a terrifying speed. Getting hit by the metal ball would definitely break your entire whole being.
Sion almost snatched Invictus' neck with his free hand. Good thing he saw it coming and ducked, propping his right hand on the ground. He then stands on one arm then proceeds to land a kick on Sion's jaw, which took him two little steps back but dealt no damage.
"Ohhh! He landed a hit, but that's not enough to take the ogre down!"
All of them knew it would take more than just some kick on the jaw. So, Invictus continued to show them how he exactly will defeat Sion in his own game.
"That was some powerful kicks, masked man!"
Again, Invictus lunged in after landing on both feet despite knowing the fact that the ogre's weapon will crushingly land any second now.
"Die!" Exclaimed Sion as he pulled the metal ball's chain once again to increase its speed and crash onto Invictus' back.
