Chapter 27 - Honour Points

Epiphany is like a special insight that can only occur once a person reaches a special state. Out of hundred percent of starry sky empires population, only three percent have been able to evoke an epiphany. And that was a long time ago in the past. Now seeing someone suddenly undergoing an epiphany brought a shock to them. Just who the hell is this person.

Amos likewise was dumbstruck. He had never thought gaining a moment of clarity would made him trigger an epiphany. Although his level still remains the same, he could already feel how solid his foundation had become. Now there was a seventy percent chances that he could break into S rank in the future. The weird phenomenon taking turn in his body was soon starting to die down.

There was a hint of gratitude in his eyes as he looks towards the group of people in front of him. Though they were very much younger than him, however Amos knew if he hadn't had an encounter with them, perhaps he would never have trigger such a phenomenon in his entire life.

Ian who had finally regain his mind for the moment after being shocked by the appearance of the huge monster, climbed down the back of Amos contractual pet. And there he saw the group, consisting of ten; all looking directly at his mentor with awe looking eyes.

Sensing some movement, they all immediately broke their gaze away from Amos.

"Don't tell me that was an epiphany." Walker still had the awe in his expression.

"I thought they were non-existent. But who would have thought that I'll get to see one. What a lucky individual." Milo had a tinge of envy in his voice. The way the man had trigger an epiphany made it seems like it wasn't a big deal.

"Hello." Amos stepped forward before making an introduction. "My name is Amos. Although this might seem quite weird but I would really love to be acquainted with you all." His gaze was directed at Tyron when he said that. It was clear that Tyron was the leader of the team, making him the right person to ask.

Getting acquainted with someone who was able to have an epiphany was like having piles of gold falling into their arms. Which is the reason why Amos was stunned when Tyron rejects his offer.

"I'm sorry but I'll have to turn down the offer. My team is already full so I don't think we have any spot to take you in." Tyron spoke with a serious expression. "However, if you've any task to put out, you can look for the Tyron's guild at the mercenary's hall."

Amos knew that Tyron didn't want to have anything to do with him. Well, it's good enough to be cautious rather than accepting a stranger offer. Both him and Ian were dressed in a weird cloak that covers their entire body. With the other party not recognizing their identity, how could they want to get acquainted with them.

After all, there was no way he could reveal his and Ian's identity.

Hence, Amos could only say, "It's okay. I understand."

Ian walked over to Amos side, his gaze scanning the ten people before him. He already guessed they must have been the one who provoke that huge beast. Their combat suit all had traces of damage, apart from mercenary's a certain person. His eyes pause a bit on a certain figure. He couldn't help but finds her face a bit familiar. However, he couldn't pinpoint the exact place he had saw her. Perhaps it was just his illusion.

"Then I'll take my leave first." Amos bid farewell before finally leaving with Ian.

Once their rest time was over, Gael and Milo summoned out their flying bird before finally heading back to the safety line. Flying beast were prohibited from flying in the city, hence Tyron could only rent a hover bus for their transportation.

The journey to the mercenary hall was a short one since the hall was much closer to the safety line. Ryker and Walker both went to exchange the materials they had gotten from the blood bats into credits. Tyron on the other hand was summoned to the meeting room by the higher up after hearing the information he had brought.

The appearance of an SS rank monster was no joke, which is the reason why Tyron was called to explain everything that had happened. Thankfully, there was a video feed showing the appearance of the monster. The video feed had been recorded by Tyron during the moment they were escaping.

Every expert in the room had a gloom in their eyes when they saw the black ball shooting out from the monster mouth. Tyron might not be aware of what the monster existence holds due to his lack of knowledge. However, the experts instantly recognize the huge implications of this matter.

Thankfully, Tyron had gone to swamp Crocodile lair to hunt or else they would be unaware that a star rank monster was residing in such places. Every member of the Tyron's guild was then rewarded with honour points for their contribution.

This brought happiness to the team. Who would have expected the information of that monster would bring them honour points. In the mercenary system, there are different kinds of exchange. One is through credits while the other is through the use of points.

Both of them can be used to purchase goods.

However points is much harder to earn as this requires a huge contribution. Although, there are many top-rated guilds, only few of them were able to acquire points. Yet, all members of the Tyron's guild were awarded 10 honour points each which is thousands of times valuable than a normal point.

Since Susu upgrade required a huge amount of beast cores, Xue Yiran immediately exchange the ten-honor point for a S rank core. Her points were instantly deducted as soon as she received the goods. Sky excited howl rang inside her mind.

The big wolf in her consciousness had drool coming from his mouth as he stares at the S rank core in Xue Yiran's hand. It kept wagging its tail like a dog. It wasn't until a terrifying pressure pressed upon him; did he finally find a dark corner to hide.

[Hmph] Susu snicker seeing the coward behavior of the wolf king. Dare to have an intention on my meal. You're really courageous.

Sky could only whimper in its dark corner. He had always known there was another existence in his master consciousness. Most time, he would be bullied by it without having the strength to fight back. He was really the most pitiful wolf king ever.
