Chapter 58 - The Tale of Bakunawa

In a profound stillness, a deafening CRACK echoed through the air, shaking the very foundation of the dungeon. The ground trembled violently, RUMBLING like thunder, as if the earth itself was crying out in anguish. The air crackled with energy, producing a series of SPARKLING bursts that illuminated the place.

The monsters that once prowled the dungeon now let out a collective, spine-chilling SCREECH, their voices reverberating through the corridors. Their wails filled the air, a cacophony of GROANS and MOANS, their agony piercing the silence. The walls shook with each desperate HOWL, like the anguished cry of lost souls.

Amidst the chaos, there came a series of explosive BOOMS, like the sound of cannons firing. The dungeon's foundations quivered, creating a symphony of CRASHES and BANGS, as if the very walls were collapsing. Each reverberation sent shockwaves, causing loose rocks to CLATTER and the ground to TREMBLE beneath your feet.

But amidst the chaos and devastation, a glimmer of hope emerged. A soft, soothing HUM filled the air, gradually growing louder. The energy of the Bakunawa, now released, danced and SWIRLED, creating a mesmerizing display. The once-ominous dungeon began to stabilize, the energy transforming into a gentle, radiant GLOW.

As the monsters' roars turned into WHIMPERS, the dungeon settled into an eerie calmness. The remnants of the [Bakunawa's] power continued to FIZZLE and CRACKLE, but the destructive force had subsided. The dungeon stood on the precipice of change, forever marked by the cataclysmic event that had transpired.

The agony that tormented the monsters reverberated with a purpose, an ominous sign of their evolution. With each roar of agony, their power surged, their essence transforming into something more dangerous and formidable. As their levels escalated, a newfound enlightenment washed over them, bestowing them with an unparalleled energy.

In a mesmerizing twist of fate, the special dungeon and the main dungeon merged into one entity. Boundaries blurred, dimensions intertwined, and the once separate realms became indistinguishable. The combined dungeon pulsated with an amalgamation of energies, its atmosphere crackling with an electrifying aura. The merging unleashed a cataclysmic surge of power, forever altering the fabric of this twisted labyrinth.

Within this dungeon, the monsters, now transcended by their suffering and enlightenment, roamed with an unprecedented vigor. Their evolved forms exhibited fearsome prowess, embodying the true essence of the unified dungeon. Unpredictable and relentless, they posed a formidable challenge to any who dared venture into their domain, forever marking this merged labyrinth as a treacherous and unforgiving landscape.

Raven walked calmly towards the lifeless body of the [Bakunawa], while Lilith stood at the distance, utterly shocked by everything that had just unfolded. The dungeon had merged and transformed, a fierce battle had taken place between Raven and the [Bakunawa], and there were still so many mysteries surrounding Raven himself. It was a chaotic and overwhelming experience for Lilith, and her panic began to rise with the destruction and subsequent reconstruction of the dungeon.

However, as she laid her eyes upon Raven's serene expression, a sense of reassurance washed over her. Despite the chaos that had ensued, there was something about Raven's composure that made her believe that everything was going to be alright. His calm demeanor seemed to convey a hidden strength and understanding, as if he knew more than he let on. It was a lasting impression that stayed with Lilith, calming her own nerves.

As the chaos subsided, Lilith fluttered onto Raven's shoulder, her wings quivering with anticipation and a myriad of questions bubbling inside her. She couldn't contain herself any longer and began to pester him, firing off one query after another.

"What the hell was that lunatic technique?"

"How did you possess such power?"

"What were your intentions?"

Her words poured out in a rush, a mixture of curiosity, concern, and a touch of awe.

Raven listened patiently, his steady gaze fixed ahead, before finally turning to Lilith with a faint smile and saying, "All in due time, Lilith. The answers you seek will be revealed, but for now, let me enjoy my bountiful reward." His word is nonchalant.

Lilith couldn't help but feel a glimmer of excitement mingled with the unknown.

Gazing upon the lifeless visage of the vanquished Bakunawa, Raven exhales a bittersweet breath,

In his novel, Kenn introduced the [Bakunawa] as a background character, serving to present formidable challenges for the protagonist to overcome and add depth to the story.

As an author delved deeper into a storyline, he inadvertently relegated the Bakunawa to obscurity, relegating the dungeon to the realm of forbidden zones, and ultimately erasing its existence from the story's unfolding tapestry as his writing journey advanced.

Also, he writes a background story of the bakunawa in his notebook as a draft.

The Bakunawa, a colossal sea serpent deity of the deep and underworld, possessed ethereal beauty as a goddess residing in the depths of the ocean.

Enchanted by the radiant glow of light emanating from above, her curiosity led her to ascend, where she beheld the captivating moon in all its splendor.

Filled with an overwhelming adoration, she yearned for a connection, only to face rejection from the Gods who reside in the 7 moons as they laughed at her because she was only a lowly god at that time. But then, she didn't give up, she stares at the sight of the 7 moons with yearning and goes back to the depth of the ocean.

After 10,000 years, she returned to the gods and expressed her desire to live on the moon as she had ascended to become a High deity. However, the gods responded with laughter, dismissing her request and calling her foolish for believing that a snake could ever inhabit the moon.

Upon her departure from the moon, she faced punishment for supposedly tarnishing its beauty. She returned, bearing visible injuries and bleeding, as the gods accused her, a snake that marred the moon's splendor.

Consumed by bitterness and heartbreak, she transformed into a formidable Giant serpent, driven by a vengeful revenge.

After transforming into a massive serpent, she began devouring the moon and mercilessly slaying its inhabitants. However, just as she was about to consume the final moon, a supreme god and numerous high gods intervened and sentenced her to eternal damnation. Her body became encased in divine chains, adorned with inscriptions, and sealed away in a special dungeon.

As Raven remembers that's the backstory he wrote in his draft. Luckily, as he transmigrated in this world his ability to recall things was heightened like a mnemonist.
