Chapter 18 - Lena & Elefthería Guild

Leo and the man appear on the roof of a large building...

"By the way, kid, my name is Jin Grey, and those are my guild members," the man said as he pointed to his groups in the back...

Jin Grey was a middle-aged man with a carefree personality who valued freedom above all else... Eleftheria is the name of his Guild, and their Guild was ranked in hundredths. Leo thinks it's not bad for a guild.

"Leon," Leo responds calmly.

"Wow! He's so calm!" exclaimed a man wielding a knife in his right hand.

"I like him, though," a sultry woman says seductively.

"Haha, He'll be our new member's right," a bulky man laughs and jokes.

Leo was observing the group while they were conversing, and he was electrified when he noticed a woman with purple hair....

Jin noticed Leo's body shivering, so he followed where Leo was staring and was astounded to see Leo staring at Lena, so he joked, "If you join my Guild, you can have a good time with Lena."

Leo came to his mind when he heard Jin's remarks and answered, "Nope, she simply looks like someone I know."

Lena Gray was Leo's mentor before he regressed; she was the one who helped him a lot when he was in difficulties, a powerful woman who taught and directed him. He was startled to learn that Lena was a guild member of this unknown guild as she was his master, friend, and war comrade.

Even though they were always together, Lena never told Leo about her past, and if he asked, she would just change the subject or walk out while staring at the sky. Leo knows she has a story to tell, but Lena just wants to bury it alone deep inside her heart.

Leo sighs as he considers it; he understands Lena's loneliness because he has felt the same, losing people who were important to him, his family, friends, comrades, and even his lover, but he needed to stand strong for humanity and his vengeance on the mastermind of war.

Jin notices that Leo is losing in his own world, so he breaks him out of his trance, and Leo immediately returns to his senses.

"Kid, I like your talent; do you want to join my guild?" Jin asked, while his right hand resting on Leo's shoulder.

Leo was shocked by Jin, but he calmed down as he considered the pros and cons of joining the guild. He also didn't know what the rules of Jin's Guild were, so he needed to rack his brains, but when he saw Lena, he needed to reconsider his decision.

"I'm sorry that I have to reject your offer for the time being because I have something important to do first, but I hope that your offer will still be valid when I'm finished."

"Are you sure, kid?" Jin inquired.

"Yes, I'm certain of it; in exchange, I have confidential information that I can share with you."

"Oh, what kind of information do you want to share, and how significant is it?"

"Yeah, it is, and I'm sure it will be beneficial to your guild," Leo replied solemnly as he explained what kind of information he had.

Leo's information was about an item that would appear in the Hestia Family Auction House. The item was a normal-looking knife. Many guilds thought it was just an heirloom with nothing special about it, but a lucky merchant who bought it later discovered something in the knife that caused bloodshed for his entire family and friends.

Many guilds had no idea it was a key to a special dungeon full of mana stones. Mana Stones were important to any guild, including noble families, because everything in this world works through mana stones. Currency, training, and empowering machines such as magic trains, magic phones, and so on.

Mana stones can also be used by magicians as a portable mana bank if they run out of mana, as well as a substitute for mana potion because it was expensive.

It has both pros and cons. Using mana stone was inefficient because they needed to find a place to absorb it, whereas mana potion is simple to use even if you're fighting because you just need to drink it and (boom) your mana is recovered. The advantage of Mana stone was that it was cheaper than a potion.

"You understand why it is important, right?" Leo asked.

Jin was left perplexed with Leon information. So he got lost in his thoughts, weighing the pros and cons. A mana stone mine is extremely beneficial to them; if they want to expand their Guild, they can also upgrade their items; however, the problem is... Can they keep it safe?

Sometimes an abundance of wealth was a curse rather than a blessing.

Jin knows that many Big Guilds and Strong Noble Families will covet the Mana mine; their guild was only in the middle rank, even though they had three S rank adventurers, but who knows, the world was so big that even he couldn't travel it in his entire life, and there are even hidden experts hiding in shadow, so he needs to make a thorough plan.

"Are you certain that your information is correct?" Jin asked Leo, wanting to ensure that Leo was not giving him false information.

"It's up to you whether you believe it or not," Leo responds as he turns around and takes another look at Lena.

Jin was staring at Leo's back when he heard him mutter something.

"The greater our wealth, the greater our danger; but wealth is also a form of power, and in this dangerous world, wealth is one of the most reliable aids."

"By the way, the auction is next Saturday night at 8:30 p.m."

Leo then vanishes without a trace, leaving them perplexed.

"Are you sure he was a 16 or 17-year-old kid?" the man playing with his knife asked, breaking the silence.

"I'm not sure," Lena replied, "but my instinct says he wasn't your average Joe."

"All right, buckle up!" Jin instructs the group as they exit the building.

After Jin and the others have left, a woman dressed as a maid emerges from the shadows.

"Perhaps Young Master is interested."

The woman smirks and walks away, leaving the area in silence.
