It took her 10 minutes to come back to her senses when she heard people around her starting to laugh.
It was so real but she didn't want to believe it, her darling boyfriend and her cousin what were they doing here? They were supposed to be at the base but..her thoughts were interrupted when she was pushed and went straight on her knees.
"Look how weak you are general, are you, not the strongest female we have in the army? The youngest, the coolest, and the most beautiful general?" The woman snared the word jealousy was plastered on her baked face.
Lu wan took a while to process all of this but quickly understood what was going on, she was indeed naive but not stupid. She knew Lu fei disliked her and was always competing with her in everything. She thinks that this title of general belonged to her because she was the first to enter the military and she was older than her.
She was always all talk but no action that's why Lu Wan came in and took more tasks and within 2 years she was entitled. But Lu Fei blamed her for every misfortune she faced.
She could understand that she was jealous but what about Wei Xing? He was her darling boyfriend the only person who loved and cared for her, what was he doing with this woman?
" Well you must be having a lot of questions but let me save your energy and answer some of those you might want to hear," Wei Xing said adjusting his shirt in a very relaxed manner.
Lu wan looked at him tears falling from her eyes, What she wanted to hear? was to tell her that they were there for her!
Wei Xing looked at her and continued " Well you were asking for a boss and that's me, and the next question I think will be as to why Lu fei is here with me. She's my girlfriend the only person I love"
Lu Wan widened her eyes " How come she's your girlfriend? You always hated her and..." her mind was blank
"Oh come on, I was playing with you back then. Look you have nothing apart from that little and pretty face, no family support no one is behind you so I only needed to act like I cared about you for you to give in your everything.
"I thank you for the tactics and support you showed me that's why I got promoted, The only thing I can repay you is that you won't be tortured to death" He finished and took a sip from the bottle of water they served him.
Before Lu wan could take in all of it she was slapped hard on her face, she could fight back but was too tired and her soul was broken.
"Wait, not going to be tortured? I want her to die in the most painful death" Lu fei chimed.
"Don't be greedy at least let her die in one piece" Said Wei Xing sounding pitiful
"So all the report about human trafficking was all a trap? Why do you hate me that much and for how long have you been scheming?" she was now shaking.
"Well since the moment you started clinging to me, and no one is human trafficking I just wanted your title and I can't have it when you're still alive, but don't worry I won't leave your body to be eaten by wild animals I am going to burn it " He then laughed.
"No honey I have already prepared a container full of acid why bother with fire?" Lu fei chimed in.
Lu Wan didn't bother looking at them, she dropped her head blaming herself, he said she clung to him. That's not true. The truth was she had both parents who got divorced and stopped caring about her, She grew up mostly with her nanny whom she treated like a mother figure.
Her mother was not liked in the Lu family, she heard that her mother was from a mafia family yet the Lu bloodline was that of a "righteous" military background. Thus nobody wanted her in the family not even her father but because she was his daughter and had Lu Bloodline in her they gave her everything but not love.
So when she saw Wei Xing supporting and caring for her she wanted to be with him all the time because he brought warmth to her cold life, later did she found herself being in love with him and luckily he also liked her that's how she became naive and taught him everything she knew.
In Lu's family, every descendant was allowed to learn from a young age thus Lu Wan learned fighting skills since she had no one to whine to, she always endured every hardship of the training which most of the family members failed to do.
But where did she go wrong? It seems that the word loved was not written in her story. She closed her eyes taking in every hash word and a touch of laughter.
Suddenly she heard a gunshot, she opened her eyes and saw herself bleeding even more, she already had a wound on her arm. She started laughing at them all and they looked at her like a crazy person.
"You call yourself a man? you had to be trained by me such a looser" She looked at him.
She turned to Lu Fei " And you, so jealous of my beauty I have to die for you to shine what a looser" She saw them getting angry at her words but she felt nothing not even hate could be traced on her beautiful face.
She smiled before dropping and her smile was like morning sunshine. Wei Xing's heart skipped a bit why was he feeling pain seeing her not hating him? why.....
