Amelia has been investigating the prophecy and dark orbs they had found. After a few weeks of work, she and the other priests managed to trace its energy to the mountains in the North. It seems to be related to the map she and Chris found in the hut in the forest.
Amelia also made some important discoveries related to the prophecy. She had found old information on it in Harborton and now she had deciphered some of it in the last few weeks.
The heroes of prophecy were chosen from other worlds by the gods protecting this world. They could be alone, just one chosen hero, or an entire group. It seems like they had only chosen Chris this time. It could mean that he is either very strong or the threat is not great enough to warrant more heroes.
The gods brought these heroes in times of great evil in order to combat the champions of darkness. This was as much as she had learned so far, but this would indicate that the goddess should have all the answers. She decided to go to the Shrine and try to talk to the Goddess.
Amelia reached the Shrine of the Goddess, she kneeled down beside the Shrine and prayed to her, "Great Goddess please tell me how I should guide your hero and what we are facing."
The Goddess' voice boomed, "You already know what to do, go to the mountains in the North and defeat the evil there. Continue to fight the forces of dark and strengthen our forces of good."
Amelia tried to pray again, but no more answers came. She stood up and went over to the teleportation circle. Chris was still in Harborton so she would need to fetch him.
While walking to Harborton from the teleportation circle near the tomb, Amelia thought to herself, "Chris was chosen by the gods. I wonder why he was chosen. He seems to be very strong, but also kind and hardworking. I certainly think that they have chosen well. Especially since he is perfect for me. A gift from the gods.". She chuckled a bit at her own thoughts. "Of course, the gods didn't choose him for me, but it is a happy coincidence."
Amelia went to Harborton and found out that Chris was staying in their old room at the inn. "Maybe he is a bit sentimental and misses me. I should reward him.", she thought to herself with a sly grin.
It was already dark when Amelia arrived at the inn. She asked for Chris at the reception, but he wasn't back for the day yet. Since the room was actually still registered on both of them, she easily convinced them to give her a key. She went up to the room and looked around. The room was full of ledgers and books on magic. It looked a bit chaotic, but it wasn't dirty.
Amelia gather up the books and ledgers and placed them neatly on a desk by the window. She closed the curtains and prepared for bed. She had even brought a new set of underwear, which consisted of a nightgown and underpants. The nightgown was made of sheer material and was entirely see-through. The underpants were shorter than usual with a lot of lace. It only covered the most intimate areas, most of her butt was visible.
Amelia's plan was to surprise Chris with a reward for all of his efforts. Just the thought of it was starting to make her moist. She had also missed him a lot and the anticipation and excitement were certainly getting to her.
She put on her new sexy lingerie and lay down on top of the bed. However, time went on and he didn't come. Eventually, she cozied under the blanket and fell asleep.
Chris came back to the inn around midnight and went up to his room. He opened the door and noticed a faint magical light. He looked around and saw that his books and ledgers had been moved. Then he noticed something, someone, on the bed. "Amelia!", he exclaimed happily and immediately realized that he should be quiet as she seemed to be asleep.
Amelia woke up and sleepily turned toward the door. Chris was back! "Finally!", she said with a big smile on her face. She sat up and the blanket she had slept with slowly fell down and showed her new nightgown.
Chris saw her sexy outfit and immediately felt his heart racing. If it hadn't been for her long blonde hair hanging down over her breasts, he would have seen everything through the sheer material.
The feeling was overwhelming, he was so happy just to see her here a moment ago and now to discover that she had surprised him with such an outfit. "I must have died and gone to heaven, for there is a sexy angel before my very eyes.", he said a bit cheesily.
Chris rushed over to the bed and took Amelia in his arms and lovingly embraced her. Then he kissed her passionately.

The next morning they woke up together in bed. "Good morning Chris, have you slept well?", Amelia asked.
"Oh yes, better than I have since coming to Harborton without you. When you are here, this feels like home. When you aren't here, I am mostly just working and training.", he answered.
Amelia looked at Chris with her big violet eyes full of love, "I missed you too.".
She then got up, with her gorgeous body on full display in the see-through nightgown. Then surprisingly she crossed her arms and gave Chris a very serious look. Chris swallowed hard feeling as though he had done something wrong. Amelia began to speak, "I actually didn't come here because I missed you. In the last few weeks, I have managed to trace the evil energy of the dark orb to the mountains. Combining this with the map we found in the hut, I believe that we need to go there and investigate as soon as possible."
Chris' face relaxed and he got up and embraced Amelia, "I thought you were mad at me when I saw your serious expression.".
He then continued, "Well done tracking down the source of the evil. I will go down to the reception and send for Harold. I am certain that he will want to come along." then he kissed her and gave her a light smack on the ass. "You are too sexy", he added.
Amelia was slightly startled but then gave him a sultry look, "That was what I was going for." and smacked him back.

Chris, Amelia, and Harold went to the teleportation circle and tried to use it to reach the mountains. However, it didn't work. They didn't know why, the book Amelia had of the teleportation circles in the Amber Kingdom clearly showed a circle near the mountains. They would need to go there on foot and investigate why it didn't work.
They walked through the difficult terrain of the forest for the entire day. There had been a few animals on the way, but nothing troublesome. Now it was getting dark and they decided to camp for the night.
Amelia had told Chris and Harold everything she knew on the way. It wasn't very much though, so then Chris also told them of his new business ventures and how he could now refine any equipment and make it far superior to ordinary counterparts.
Harold had already tried one of Chris' refined swords and was very impressed, he said that he would need to order a set of armor as well.
The night went by quietly and they woke up the next morning. They ate breakfast and carried on. They found the non-functioning teleportation circle around noon. Amelia investigated it and found that it had been slightly damaged. She explained what the issue was to Chris and he managed to use his new skills with energy crafting to fix it. The circle briefly emitted a blue glow. It seemed to be fixed, but they would wait to try it out until they actually needed to. Otherwise, they might waste time having to walk here again if it worked in one direction, but not the other.
Amelia took out the map of the mountains they had found in the hut and guided them to the marked cave. They soon found it and stood outside. "I can feel a dark and ominous energy coming out of here.", Amelia said.
Chris agreed, "I feel it too. We should be careful.". Harold simply shrugged, he didn't have much of a magic ability.
"Chris, please lead on as you are both strong and sensitive to the energy. I will follow your lead and keep Amelia safe.", Harold said.
The group of heroes entered the cave.
