Chapter 1 - Chapter: Into the void

Some people say the end to all things was death. To others it was eternity. But to Aseel none of these theories were true. Because right now he was standing beyond death, beyond eternity. Well almost, but very soon he would cross and see what was beyond eternity. Very soon he would be able to witness the end of eternity. The colorless void in front of him said it all. For once in his life when he looked, he didn't see any color.

No white, no black, nothing. It seemed impossible for the mind to imagine such a scenery but he was looking at it right now. After two hundred million years, after becoming immortal after going above the gods, the celestials and even 'that guy' he had finally done it.

He had lived through his and he had survived. In fact, he had done more than survive, he had won. He had always waned more out of life than just being strong. Even if the world wouldn't know it, to him it was more than enough for him to know he had seen and been to the end of all worlds. It would be more than enough for him that he got to see what was beyond the end

The singularity he had been looking for was now right in front of him. Before he entered the void there was something he needed to do. The question on his retina still needed a response.

[Confirm release of system]

His system had been great help to him. It really pained him that he had to let it go. Only he could ever know how difficult it was for him to release it. But it had to be done. He needed to let all limiters go. He could release all his power now. He created the system because after sometime he couldn't control his own power levels and he had hurt someone really dear to him. "Eternal rest." The words slowly began until finally they disappeared. He sighed. He looked at the veil in front of him that seemed to stretch on forever. Aseel wondered where it ended. But the end he was looking stood right in front of him. He had done wonderfully. No one could doubt that. And although he had been completely cruel and ruthless in pursuing it to him it was all worth it. He stepped head first into the void until he finally disappeared. Leaving nothing and no one in sight except the endless veil.

Travis felt only one emotion when he looked at his new born son's face. He felt proud. He was proud of himself for creating such a masterpiece. Although it was just a baby, it was already seen that it would be great one day. 'Maybe he could be one of those big-time doctors or even a politician one day.' Travis thought to himself. His wife had died during labor but to him her death was to a greater cause. She had borne him a son. To him although she would never know it, he loved her now more than ever.

The thing that surprised him the most about this baby was that it didn't even whimper a little so initially he thought that it died. Travis smiled at it. It smiled back. "Your name will be Damian, my sweet boy." Damian giggled. He seemed to really like the name.

Damian gasped as he woke up. He hadn't had a nightmare or anything. The dream he had just felt too real. He was in someone else's body but it felt like it was his at the same time. The person was floating over a stream of stars. It felt so surreal. He got out of bed and entered the bathroom. He gave himself a warm bath, dressed up and went to the kitchen. As he entered, his father's voice came from the living room.

"How are you feeling my useless son?" Damian smiled and turned to look at his father on the couch reading a newspaper. He gave of a movie father vibe. "I'm fine my slightly sarcastically handsome father." His father's face flushed red with anger. His voice suddenly went a pitch higher. "You know when I saw you the day you were on I though you would become a doctor or a politician!" Damian rolled his eyes. "Now look at you, literally living in your parent's basement at twenty-three."

He went back to reading his book. Damian sighed and made himself a bowl. "You know what happened back in high school wasn't my fault right?" He said as he sat down to eat. No response, He finished his food and picked his coat to leave. "I don't know why I still say this but see you later, Dad" He walked out of the house.

The cold air hit him in the face. He put his hands in his pocket and started walking down the road. He was going nowhere in particular just moving.

As he was walking, he felt someone's gaze on him. He looked behind him and realized exactly who was following him and it wasn't only one person. Sometime ago he had borrowed money from some loan shark to get out of a pickle. He and his father moved to a different place so he hadn't paid the debt but it seemed they had found him. He started walking faster.

He was contemplating on the best route to use to escape. He decided to keep heading straight and lose them at the market area. He began running as fast as he could. His pursuers began running too. He just kept running straight forward. After sometime he felt intense pain in his head. He knew it wasn't because of the running. He did his best to resist the urge to stop and clutch his head but the pain just got worse.

He checked behind and saw that they were lagging behind a bit. He turned unto a random dark alley. He hid in a dark corner and just hoped that they passed by. Luckily, they didn't seem to see him turn. He clutched his head and tried not to scream. The pain seized but something stranger happened. Initially he thought he was seeing things or he was dreaming but he knew now of that was true. A sentence in red appeared on his retina shortly after the headache seized.

[Complete will has cancelled out effects of eternal rest]

Damian looked in shock. It felt completely impossible to him but he was looking at it.

[System restarting]

[Entering temporal body revitalization mode]

He felt a sort of electrical current surging through his spine and then he blacked out.
