It was sunday and I had weekend holiday from my school. Taking this opportunity my mother pushed her work onto me. Sigh... 'That's why I don't like holidays! '
I was walking through the market buying vegetables when someone called out to me.
" Yo bro, how are you!?"
The boy called me and placed his hand on my shoulder and pulled me towards him and hugged my neck from side like a close friend.
I looked towards him. He had black messy hairs with chad body,he wore ripped jeans, A jacket and a blue T-shirt on the inside. He had 10 golden (fake) rings in his all 10 fingers and wore a golden(fake) bracelet on his right hand and a heavy golden watch on his left hand.
He was my classmate and bench partner in my school, Loilcot.
" Long time no see Lolicon! "
I chuckled, teasing him with a nickname which was obvious.
Hearing my words people around couldn't help but raise their eyebrows and frown.
" Oops! Sorry my tongue slipped. "
I spoke in an apologetic tone in low voice.
Someone standing besides me called me out and asked, " What do you mean by lolicon? "
It was a old man. He had all white beard with shiny bald head. His vertebral column was bent and was holding a stick to support himself.
Another person standing right front of me couldn't control his laughter and left out chuckles.
Loilcot felt embarassed.
Lolicot's anger rose and he couldn't control it.
" Are you courting death!? " Loilcot caught me by my collar and asked.
I apologized for my behaviour, " Ah- I'm sorry bro! I was just joking around. I didn't meant to make you feel bad! "
" Whatever, don't do it again" He left my collar and said calming his rising anger.
"Kids these days. Don't respect their elders! " Shaking his head, the old man spoke in disappointed tone and turned away.
Loilcot and I looked towards each other and nodded.
"Sorry elder, we didn't mean to be disrespectful towards you! "We said to the old man who was in his own world.
But old man didn't listen, clicking his tongue he walked away.
Seeing him walk away we too turned around and left.
" So, why aren't you coming to school? " I enquired.
Hearing my words loilcot turned away his face and started whistling.
I shook my head and gave a big pat behind his head.
*Phatt*
" What the hell bryo! " He stumbled forward.
" Nothing! " I said and looked towards him, " So what's the reason you aren't coming to school these days? "I asked again.
"... " He looked at me silently. I could see him hesitating .
Looking at him I placed my right hand on his shoulder, " Is everything fine? " I asked him making sure I don't push forward or annoy him.It may hurt him.
"I'm sorry, I can't tell you. " He looked down.
Understanding his worries I nodded and decided not to ask further, "If you have any problem, then don't hesitate to ask me for solutions. "
He nodded, talking with him for about 5 minutes we said goodbyes and left.
(A/N) : What was the reason for him to miss school for a whole week? I asked him but he decided not to tell. Can anyone guess what could it be? I'm curious.
