At the same time, elsewhere in the kingdom of Nahinil, a young black-haired woman sat elegantly on the rooftop of a building which towered high above the others. The sun shines dazzlingly far, in the distant sky.
"How annoying, to think I'd be stuck on babysitting duty while everyone else gets to explore the dungeon." The young black-haired woman's rosy, red lips parted as she grumbled those words unhappily. Her pale blue dress was ruffled gently in the wind, as soft strands of her long, glossy black hair swayed gracefully.
She seemed to be around twenty years old and had snow-white skin which was as soft as silk. She was endowed with alluring beauty. At this moment, she gave off no ripples of energy, it was as though she was no different from an ordinary mortal woman. However, her beautiful violet eyes seem profound, and mysterious.
It was impossible to discern what she was thinking. Two large, distinct raven black wings spread outwards from her slender back, scattering black feathers into the surroundings occasionally.
Although she had cast illusion magic to conceal her wings from the eyes of ordinary folks, she actually hadn't completely hidden them entirely.
To her, her black raven wings were her greatest pride. She had no intention of completely concealing them. She was Valeria, one of the generals of the goddess, Eva. She was tasked to watch over the newly appointed demi-god, Arthur. Who could potentially become another general in the future.
"How long does he intent on keeping me waiting here? Does he not realized I could easily destroy this puny kingdom if he keeps annoying me like this?!" She fumed in irritation.
While Valeria was one of the most rational generals, she was also the one with the shortest temperament out of all the generals serving the goddess, Eva.
Annoying her could easily result in the destruction of an entire continent. But she didn't want to upset the goddess, Eva, so she did everything she could to maintain her composure as she waited patiently for Arthur's return.
Suddenly, her expression changed. The silver ring on her middle finger emits a slight glow. And the projection of a young man with short, silver hair and deep red eyes appeared before her.
"Valeria return to the castle with Arthur immediately." He ordered.
He gave off a terrifying oppressive energy, seemingly undefeatable. For a moment, it was as though he was the ruler of this world. He was also one of the generals serving the goddess, Eva.
The war lord, Levi. In terms of strength, even the spear queen Louisa would struggle against him. Only the overlord, Ellard had ever been able to breach his defences and injure his body.
"What's with the urgency?" Valeria asked with a frown, sensing the seriousness in his voice.
"We detected a sudden surge of spatial energy in a distant corner of the world. Our goddess has suspected it was the opening of a miniature world." He explained calmly.
"Wh-What, a miniature world, what level is it?" Valeria asked, her violet eyes widening in surprised. Miniature worlds were regions hidden between dimensions, while they vary in both size and rank, some miniature worlds held various secrets and ancient techniques.
On some occasions, they even held various artifacts and materials not found anywhere else.
"We're not entirely sure, but our lady speculates it could be around supreme grade." He added.
"Wh-What, supreme grade! Why would such a place suddenly open up all of a sudden?" Valeria question dubiously. Her eyes widened slightly in mute amazement.
"Not sure, just get back here before we leave you behind. Once the spatial gate closes, even you won't be able to reopen it. The other generals of the goddess, Udea should also be aware, considering how powerful the spatial interference is." He said indifferently, as the light emitted from the ring went out, the projection gradually disappeared.
"Tch, I can't be left behind. This miniature world could hold some kind of great secret! It would be a huge loss if I got left behind." For a moment, her violet eyes held a smear of undisguised desire. Whatever secret the miniature worlds held, she wanted it for herself.
Even a being as powerful and ancient as herself felt tempted by the prospects of obtaining a rare treasure of a miniature world.
Her large raven wings suddenly unfurls as she disappeared, black feathers scattered around the surroundings.
…
In an open area, within the vast wilderness. The spear queen, Louisa, was currently embroiled in a serious battle with the nine headed immortal evil dragon. One of the strongest true dragons that existed in this world.
Louisa brandished her golden spear with perfect mastery, slamming it into the torso of the nine headed immortal evil dragon.
Unfortunately, the silver scales on the nine headed immortal evil dragon was simply too tough. Aside from shaking slightly from the force of her attack, her spear had actually failed to breach its defence.
However, Louisa's expression showed no surprise, the nine headed immortal evil dragon was no ordinary dragon, it was a true dragon. One that stood supreme among its peers.
Even a divine weapon, like her golden spear, divine destroyer, would have a difficult time piercing the scales on the nine headed immortal evil dragon. Several slashes of the nine headed immortal evil dragon's tails closed in on her rapidly.
They all slashed out brutally like sharp swords. The sound of air getting cut through resounded.
"Hmph." Louisa snorted, she took advantage of her small frame, weaving through its barrage of attack with unmatched reaction speed.
However, the nine headed immortal evil dragon's attacks was relentless, all nine tails continuously slashed out, tearing through the sky with unstoppable might.
But Louisa was indifferent, with every swing of her golden spear, she deflected the tails of the nine headed immortal evil dragon. She used her magical energy to strengthen her physical body, allowing her to compete with the physical strength of the nine headed immortal evil dragon.
"You actually think you can overpower me in strength, you overestimate yourself, human! Even with the strength of a demi-goddess, your still too weak!"
The nine headed immortal evil dragon roared, all nine heads of the nine headed immortal evil dragon fired breaths of varying different kind towards Louisa.
Nine powerful dragon breaths closed in on her from the front with devastating power.
They all compressed together, forming a massive beam of destructive energy. It mowed down all the vegetation in the surrounding environments.
Before the thick beam of compressed light, Louisa's figure seemed small, almost insignificant in comparison. Louisa's expression became stern, even with all her strength, she dared not underestimate the power of the nine headed immortal evil dragon. Its might was simply unfathomable.
"Immoveable shield of six paths!" Louisa bellowed out furiously. A golden shield with many intricate patterns promptly appeared before her, it gave off powerful ripples of energy.
Just from the energy alone, it was obviously a defensive artifact of a high-ranked.
With a series of deafening sounds, the nine powerful dragon breaths collided with the immoveable shield of six paths, causing the air to tremble, as shockwaves wreaked havoc in the surroundings.
The mountain which towered high for roughly several thousands of kilometres away rumbled viciously.
A storm of chaotic energy swept across the surroundings in a violent manner, gouging out the ground and scattering the vast clouds in the sky.
Had there been any sign of humans in the surroundings, just the residual energy from the shockwave alone would've been enough to blow them to pieces. Louisa's long golden hair swayed messily as she coughed out a mouthful of blood.
Even with the immoveable shield of six paths, she had failed to block all of the residual energy of the shockwave. Her delicate body clad in golden armor was blown back roughly three hundred meters along with her shield.
"Cough, Impressive, even the immovable shield of six paths, my greatest defensive artifact was incapable of completely stopping your nine breaths." Louisa adjusted her posture, as she gently wipes away the blood from the corner of her soft, rosy lips.
That being said, the immovable shield of six paths did block roughly ninety percent of the force behind the shockwave, had she faced that alone with her slender body, even she would not have come out unscathed.
She was truly astonished at the strength the nine headed immortal evil dragon had just shown. Among the many great true dragons which roam the world, The nine headed immortal evil dragon stood supreme, it was only below the feared dragon emperor.
"Give up, human! You stand no chance against me!" One of the heads of the nine headed immortal evil dragon exclaimed.
Its voice was extremely haughty and prideful. It showed no fear before Louisa at all. Rather than facing a demi-goddess, it was as though it was facing an ant instead.
"... It's been a while since someone had the gall to take me lightly like this, very well. You shall repent your foolishness, you stupid lizard." Louisa said indifferently.
Her beautiful, angelic wings which were hidden until now suddenly unfurled, white feathers scattered as the golden spear in her hand suddenly lit up in a golden radiance.
Its glow was several times brighter than the sun which shone overhead.
"Secret art, one hundred thrusts!" A gleam of vicious light flickered in her sapphire-like eyes.
At the same time, she leaned her body forward and got into a stance where she could make perfect use of her spear.
Her knuckle tightened around her golden spear. With unmatched speed, she thrust her spearhead forward.
ROOAAAAR!
The nine headed immortal evil dragon cried out in pain. Her movements were fast, too fast to follow with the eyes. In just mere seconds, she had stabbed out one hundred times consecutively!
The silver draconic scales of the nine headed immortal evil dragon was shattered and filled with cracks, black blood spewing out in copious amounts.
"I see… Only attacks with high penetration ability can get through its thick scales." Louisa smiled in satisfaction.
Although she had been locked in battle against the nine headed immortal evil dragon for several days, this was the first time she had dealt any meaningful damage.
During her onslaught of attacks, she had actually stabbed out in the same spot several times continuously, directly piercing the flesh of the nine headed immortal evil dragon.
However, at this moment, the nine headed immortal evil dragon's eyes became bloodshot, "How dare you!" The nine headed immortal evil dragon bellowed out furiously.
A dragon's defence was their greatest pride. Seeing how injured he was, especially since he was injured by the attacks of an ant he didn't took seriously, the nine headed immortal evil dragon was truly angered. Its killing intent surge.
"Ugh." Louisa's beautiful face grimaced in pain, she felt lightheaded, blood oozed from her ears. The nine headed immortal evil dragon's roar was simply too powerful.
It created an explosive soundwave which travelled for several tens of thousands of kilometres away.
Many mountains which stood imposingly in the distance directly collapsed and lost their once flourishing structures from the powerful vibration.
One of the long necks of the nine headed immortal evil dragon suddenly moved. Its draconic eyes shone for a brief moment, when Louisa directly stared into its cold emotionless eyes, her lips trembled as her body became sluggish.
It seems this particular dragon head had the ability to temporarily trapped those who looked into its eyes. An invisible force had actually trapped her within the space, leaving her incapacitated.
Another head appeared before her and its jaws opened up. Terrifying energy gathered inside its jaws.
However, Louisa's slender figure froze as she was suddenly covered in the shade of death. Her pupils contracted to the size of pins.
She notices this energy was slightly different from the ones it had launched previously, this energy seems to have some kind of corrosive effect, it was like deadly poison. At this distance, she would be hit from point blank range.
Just the energy alone was so terrifying it made her heart lurch. 'As a demi-goddess, I'm naturally immune to all poison, but… Will my high immunity be enough?' She wondered; she was filled with a deep sense of dread. Her instincts urged her to leave this place immediately.
'Retreat! I have to retreat!' Such thoughts filled her head. However, under the restraints of the invisible force, she couldn't move her arms no matter how much strength she exerted.
"Heavenly spear!" She bellowed. Three golden magic formation appeared above the nine headed immortal evil dragon, firing multiple spears of golden light.
They bore down on the world with a tremendous amount of energy, piercing the scales of the nine headed immortal evil dragon. The air exploded as terrifying explosions took place one after another.
ROOAAAAR!
The nine headed immortal evil dragon writhed in agony, but the restrictions which held her captive didn't let up a bit. Instead, it grew fiercer.
The nine headed immortal evil dragon seemed intent on keeping her prison while it prepared to unleash its toxic breath.
"Tch." Suddenly, her eyes became bloodshot, with determination, Louisa sacrifice her essence blood, burning her vitality for greater strength. The magical energy within her surge furiously.
Her face became paled as she burnt her essence blood. The essence blood was essentially life energy. Although burning it could potentially allow one to bring out greater prowess, it was also detrimental as well.
Louisa was technically shaving off her own life force in exchange for strength.
Even for a demi-goddess like herself who possessed extraordinary life force, it would take a long time for her to return to peak condition.
But with her sudden abrupt increased in strength, the restriction of space lesson up dramatically, allowing her to move her limbs.
Without any hesitation, she quickly struck outwards viciously, her spear cut opened a rift through space. At that moment, space fell into chaos as a torrent of destructive energy from within the crevices wreaked havoc.
The spatial rift sucked in everything with an unstoppable suction force. The invisible force that had trapped her within space was suddenly released, allowing her to move. Under normal circumstances, one would be extremely hesitant to charge recklessly into a spatial rift. Unless one had a strong affinity for space magic, it would be very dangerous to wander within a rift without proper awareness.
The chaotic energy would constantly attack their bodies, dooming them in the process, and even a demi-god or demi-goddess would be heavily injured. Unfortunately, Louisa wasn't in a situation where she had the leisure to consider such things now. Her only thought was centred on escaping.
'I just have to reinforce my barrier.' Louisa's expression became resolute. She didn't falter before the unstoppable suction force. Instead, she willingly allowed her body to be pulled in directly towards the spatial rift.
Without thinking twice, her figure was enveloped in a golden protective barrier as she shot off into the spatial hole with lightning speed, the spatial rift closed softly behind her as she fled.
At the same time, the nine headed immortal evil dragon spewed a dark mist from its mouth.
The mist was like a plague to all living beings, whatever came into contact with the mist, they were affected by some kind of corrosion.
Just inhaling a sliver of the toxic mist, all internal organs would melt, even the blood would be affected.
All living organism within its range directly perished, dying without the slightest resistance.
Had Louisa not made it out in time, perhaps she too would've suffered the same fate.
…
In a remote region in the western parts of the world. Further away from any of the seven great lands, the majestic castle of the goddess, Udea was position on a wasteland.
It towered high above the many trees in the surroundings and spanned a distance of approximately several kilometres. Its exterior was extremely beautiful. However, within a certain room, a woman with long flowing silver hair hovered in midair with her legs crossed, and her eyes closed.
She seemed to be meditating. She was endowed with an otherworldly beauty. Suddenly, the silver-haired woman opened her violet, amethyst-like eyes and gazed into a certain direction.
As though the concept of distance was negligible in her eyes, she observed a certain region of space which was twenty million kilometres away. "Such powerful ripples of space. Is there someone using a wide range space elemental magic, or maybe—" Udea's purple lips parted as she gasps in shocked.
'This is the appearance of a miniature world. And one of a really high grade, why has it suddenly opened?' She was extremely confused, however—
"Now isn't the time to ponder such things. Knowing my sister, she must've sensed the opening of the miniature world as well. There is no doubt she will send her followers there to investigate." Udea furrowed her brow in thought.
A miniature world of this magnitude could hold extraordinary secrets and great fortunes. She was unwilling for it to end up in the hands of her sister.
"It can't be helped." Udea heaved a heavy sigh. After receiving news from Louisa that Ellard had already reincarnated somewhere in the human territory, she wanted to do a wide range search there soon, but now—
"I'll just do it some other time once this matter has settled." She decided, soon, she closed her eyes. Powerful energy rippled silently. It was a signal to all her loyal general to gather in the discussion hall.
The castle was massive, and several figures were scattered about the place. However, without exception, they all felt the powerful ripples of energy.
In just a few seconds, several flashes appeared, as several figures bowed down before the goddess, Udea. Among them was the general, Monica and Ethan.
They all showed great respect and reverence towards their goddess.
"My lady, you have summoned us?" A young man with long, shoulder length black hair clads in black armor said.
"Yes, I have a very important mission I'd like to send you all on." She said calmly.
"Hm, an important mission? What is it?" Monica asked, tilting her head curiously.
"It seems a miniature world is about to open on a very distant place, a few million kilometres from here. Take the spatial gate and go explore the miniature world. Who knows, you might find something of incredible interest there." Udea said in a very reluctant manner.
In all honesty, she did not want to send her followers on such dangerous missions. There was no telling what may lay ahead. Unforeseen factors may also appear.
But she couldn't just watch silently as her sister sent her own followers there while doing nothing. The balance of power was now equal between them, they were currently waiting for an opportunity to rise up and take the edge on the other.
Udea did not want the current equilibrium between them to collapse at this moment. Her strongest servant, the overlord was yet to return.
"My goddess, what grade is this miniature world?" A young man clads in golden armor asked. He had long, waist length golden hair, and sharp jade-coloured eyes.
He was the roaring thunder lord, Aratiri. One of the fastest general, who excelled in the manipulation of the lightning element.
"... Hmm. Judging from the powerful ripples of spatial energy it gives off; I'd say somewhere around supreme grade. Or even higher." Udea said doubtfully.
However, everyone gasps when they heard this. The appearance of a miniature world wasn't exactly a rare occurrence, but finding one of such a high grade was almost impossible.
It went without saying that everyone was naturally surprised, they stood frozen on the spot in mute amazement.
"Charlotte, you should stay back." Ethan who wore his usual silver armor, said to a blue-haired young lady who stood next to him. "N-No, I can be useful too." The young girl who goes by the name Charlotte said resolutely.
She was the young girl Ethan had rescued at the remote village which was under attack by the army of undead.
Back then, he had accepted the dying wish her father had requested of him, which was to take care of her in his place. As such, Udea had granted her divine blessings, turning her into a demi-goddess. Ethan furrowed his brow slightly.
They were currently going on a dangerous mission; he couldn't allow her to enter a miniature world of such a high grade without knowing what danger lay ahead.
"It's fine, I've been practicing my water magic. I can take care of myself." Charlotte said confidently. She didn't want to slow him down; she kept training in order to be useful to him. However, Ethan was still unwilling. He felt conflicted.
[Hahaha, why are you so worried, partner? Could it be that your heart has gotten even softer?] Grim chuckled.
'Shut up Grim, you're not helping.' He growled inwardly. But seeing the determined look on Charlotte's face he heaved a sigh of resignation.
"Fine… But stay close to me." He warned.
"Yes!" Charlotte replied happily. Ethan sighed gently as he watched her overly enthusiastic reaction.
"By the way, where is Louisa? I haven't seen her in a while." Monica asked, curiously, noticing the absence spear queen, Louisa.
"Ah, now that you mentioned it. She did say she was going to track down the nine headed immortal evil dragon, which had been causing disturbance in the bearing lands a lot recently before she left." Udea said, her brow twitching slightly.
The nine headed immortal evil dragon was one of the strongest true dragons due to its resilience.
Even if you dealt damaged to its body, or even chop off one of its heads, it would simply grow back sooner or later.
Udea quickly searches for Louisa's presence, using the connection between them. But soon, a deep frown appeared on her face.
"Strange, I actually can't find her traces through my divine blessings."
"Hahaha! Do you think she got killed by the nine headed immortal evil dragon." The roaring thunder lord, Aratiri chuckled in slight amusement.
He had always had a deep seethed rivalry with the spear queen for thousands of years. If she had died so easily it would be utterly hilarious.
"D-Don't say that! This is serious, you know!" Monica said, her voice laced with displeasure.
"My bad, but it's not like her to miss one of our goddesses summoning, don't you think." Aratiri added, shrugging his shoulders.
"Th-That might be true, but..." Monica furrowed her brow slightly.
"Something unexpected must have happened. Should we search for her?" Monica suggested, her voice held undisguised worry.
"No, it's almost time for the opening of the miniature world, I'll send you guys there now through the spatial gate. As for Louisa, leave her to me." Udea said, powerful pulses of energy were released. They formed a massive sphere of energy before condensing.
In mere seconds, all the energy took the form of a large, transparent white gate. The gate seems to have fuse with the space. It radiated with powerful ripples of energy.
"Go now, and best of luck. But make sure you don't go overboard. And don't take on more than you can handle." Udea said, her beautiful gem-like eyes carried undisguised worry.
"Don't worry, my goddess, I shall meet your expectations." Ethan said with a graceful bowed of his head in reverence. The others followed along, before charging into the spatial gate.
Udea glanced at the spatial gate which was gradually closing.
"... Ellard, please watch over them." She placed her hand softly against her modest chest as she did a silent prayer.
…
At the same time, inside a dark space devoid of light, a young woman stood amidst the darkness.
The energy she gave off was so powerful that the dimensions seemed to rumble fiercely, as though it was on the verge of collapse.
The woman had long waist length, silky black hair that blended in with the darkness around her.
All that was visible was her glowing, red eyes along with a vague outline of her figure. Suddenly, her eyes narrowed as she stared off into another direction.
Even within this void it seems she could still see what was happening outside. In a certain world, inside a vast forest of greenery, there was a small round egg rested on a small stone covered with moss.
The egg was merely five meters in diameter. It had many intricate patterns carved on the surface, shining occasionally.
The energy emanating from the egg was mysterious.
Space bend and twisted as though it couldn't endure such pressure. It was the energy distinct to the race that had once dominated the universe in the past, the fallen.
When the black-haired woman saw the egg, a multitude of emotions seem to spark within her crimson eyes.
Memories of the past seem to resurface, along with an intense hatred and resentment. The dimensions around her crumpled and collapsed.
The black-haired woman was like the supreme ruler of the void, where even a single gesture, or just the mere act of breathing seems to be destroying the surroundings around her, while repairing it simultaneously.
"I see, so even you were reincarnated as well. And to think you've been reborn inside the miniature world he had created back then."
Was it a coincidence?
She thought not… It was obviously that man's intentions.
"It seems you will lose all of the memories of your past life once you've hatch." As she said that, a small smear of undisguised sorrow seems to dwell within her beautiful, gem-like eyes.
"But that's alright. It's probably better this way. At least now you won't be burden by the desire of vengeance. He probably did this with that in mind. Instead, I'll be the one to carry those feelings myself." She murmured to herself. Her voice soft and feeble.
"Until then, little one, you must find that person again and grow strong like you did in the past. Considering the unique bloodline of that rare, ancient species flows through you, it should be easy for you to climb your way back up in the future."
The egg shook slightly, it rolled over the edge and was about to fall to the ground. A fall would most likely cause the egg to crack. Potentially, ending the life of the creature that laid inside.
However, before the egg could fall to the ground, an invisible force prevented it from impacting the ground. The egg floated a few meters above ground before slowly lowering altitude softly.
At this moment, a speck of light suddenly glimmers amidst the darkness. Although this space was like an endless void, the faint light seen to merge with the surroundings. The faint light vaguely revealed the upper body of the black-haired woman.
Around her ears, there were two earrings which was decorated with two moon symbols on either sides, and even her black dress had the design of both a single moon and star.
Around her white slender neck, there was a necklace which hung an orange-coloured crystal. The crystal was design with the shape of a sun.
The thing that had emitted the faint light just now was the orange-coloured sun. It was made from strange and unfamiliar materials. Without any hesitation, she reached out her soft, slender hand around the crystal gently.
"... It looks like it's almost time. I shall repay the debt I owed you all those years ago, young prince." The young woman uttered those words with some reluctance.
Soon, an unstoppable force directly tore open a certain region of space.
