Chapter 2 - Hina

"AAAHHH-"

I felt a sharp pain coursing thru my head causing my shout to be cut short. Books fell to my side with a chain of several thud. It seems I bumped my head on the desk.

"Hina!" The intruder exclaimed.

"Hina?" I asked.

"That's my name!" The girl intruder remarks.

"There's no need to think of a silly name." she continued.

Think of a name?

I'm more concerned of the fact that there's a child in my room right now.

And like a smoke alarm, my mouth automatically screeched questions.

"Why are you standing on my bed?!"

"How did you get in here?!"

"Who are you?!"

She gives me an annoyed look.

"I told you, my name's Hina." she puffed her cheeks.

"You didn't answer any of my questions!"

I decided to calm my nerves, and took a deep breath to think this through rationally.

"Nope! I answered one, I did!" she confidently declared.

A girl suddenly appeared inside my apartment.

She does not look like a burglar and it seems she does not intend to rob me either.

It looks like the only way to unravel this mystery is to ask her.

I stood up from my futon and shift the edges of my t-shirt.

I glared at her. "Hey you!"

"Hina!" she hissed.

"H-Hina." I crossed my arms.

"How did you get in here?" I asked with authority in my tone.

She nonchalantly sat down on my bed.

"Well you took me here, y'know." she casually answered.

As my vision adjusted at the darkness of my room I noticed that she's completely naked.

I closed my eyes, and then I hurriedly took off my t-shirt, and threw it at her.

"Put this on!" I demand.

she chuckles. "Why so worked up?"

Does she not realize that she's nude?!

"Just do it!" I insisted.

"Alright." she finally abide.

"Are you done?" I asked irritated.

I received no answer.

"Now YOU'RE naked!" she mockingly said.

"Shut up."

I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was her cat ears.

"What are those?" I pointed at her cat-like ears.

She gave me a confused look and tried to feel for the ears I'm pointing, after she reached it, her eyes brightens.

"Ohhhh! you mean these?" her ears twitches.

"It's my ears, stupid." she answered as if it's only natural for her to have those.

It seems asking her would get me nowhere.

Wait.

Where's the cat?

My apartment's very small, that's why it's easy to notice if something's missing.

I quickly surveyed the room, and there's no sign of the cat.

she chuckles, and somehow it sounded menacing.

"You seem to be looking for something."

The cat's gone.

And this girl suddenly appeared.

Could it be-

"That's right."

I looked at her eyes.

In the dark, her eyes glow with cold rays of gold. It's like the glints of her eyes are piercing mine.

"I'm the kitty."
