Looking at his daughter, Carlo initially wanted to scold her, but seeing her state, he could only sigh and then spoke, "Come over here."
Only then could Dana breathe a sigh of relief and smiled as she stepped forward.
"I apologize for any inconvenience."
Seeing his daughter dining at the table, Carlo let out a self-deprecating laugh, "As you can see, things here are a bit of a mess."
"What transpired before?"
Adam looked around, questioning, "Logically, it shouldn't be this way."
Beforehand, his predecessor had received news that their father had passed away six months ago.
Taking into account the distance between the two places, plus the round-trip time, this incident might have happened one or two years ago.
Even so, Carlo's situation should not have been this miserable.
After all, he was different from Adam.
Among his many brothers, Carlo was the most capable and had the best relationship with him in the past.
