Ulan was back in the familiar place once again.
It reminded him of over a decade ago when they returned from the "outside world," they were not greeted with a hero's welcome but this cramped room. Here, they had to undergo more than seven psychological assessments daily, and afterwards, they were sent to stay in a room much like a prison cell. Although it was fully equipped, they could not step out of the room until the Counter-Intelligence Department approved.
The United Government claimed that these psychological assessments were to ensure they hadn't developed PTSD, so they could better reintegrate into society. However, anyone who had gone through the evaluation knew it was really to keep them silent about what had happened in the "outside world."
"Mr. Ulan."
The people from the Counter-Intelligence Department were always polite. They would never give you a hard time in attitude but would set traps behind your back.
At least, that's what Ulan thought.
