Initially launched by a coalition of ten major bio-pharmaceutical companies, each company's "Guardians" had different specializations, but what was certain was that all "Guardians" possessed physical capabilities far beyond those of an ordinary human.
The firearms available on the market were insignificant against them; only armor-piercing weapons could leave a mark on their bodies, but that was it. Their powerful self-healing abilities could close wounds in a short amount of time.
To date, there have been fewer than ten cases where "Guardians" have been rendered inoperable. Either it was due to someone luring them into a trap with a large amount of explosives or someone with battlefield experience shot their heads with 2mm electromagnetic rounds.
