Deafening music exploded in my brain from the beat of the loud speakers. It felt like I was going to have a headache anytime soon. Teenagers were grinding on the dance floor to the beat of the music and having the time of their lives while I was just leaning on the counter at the bar in Nathan's living room, holding my second glass of drink with Sally beside me seated on one of the barstools, eyes roaming over the glittering dance floor.
"I wish Alex were here," She pouted, holding a glass of drink to her mouth, "I'd have asked him to dance. Look, my dress even matches his eyes."
My eyes rolled out of its socket, "Alex again?"
"Y'know, Nathan's the host of the party, he might not have time to dance, manning the properties and taking care of the house." She divulged.
I chuckled, "The Nathan I know isn't that responsible."
"Ooh, look I see him, he's dancing with Stephanie."
